As the cab arrived to the restaurant, Rick stepped out. He began fixing his tie, then smoothing his hair. "Ok!" He smiled as he walked in. He began looking around the restaurant, searching for Annette. Someone then tapped him on the shoulder. Startled, he turned around. Rick was met with Annette, wearing a spaghetti strap green dress. "Annette!" He yelped. "Did I scare you again...?" She smiled, reaching for his hand. Rick held her hand, and smiled. "Shall we?" Annette giggled. "Let"s." She gave a big smile."Chris?" A voice called out from behind the door. Chris opened the door, greeted by Tammy. "Oh, Tammy!" Chris smiled. "I came to see if you needed any help with watching Maru," she began as she looked over at the couch. Which Maru was fast asleep on. Tammy smiled softly. "Actually," Chris looked at her. "You and Rick"s date are also coworkers, right?" Tammy gave a nod. "What"s up?" She asked, looking at Chris" computer. "Nothin" I"m just," He quickly paused. Tammy leaned in closer. "What, what"s wrong?" Chris froze. "Holy s.h.i.t, we need to get to that restaurant right now." He said, quickly grabbing Tammy"s arm. "I"ll explain in the car, we have to go!" He cried, as the two rushed out the door.
"Actually," Annette looked at Rick, who was seated across from her. "Yeah?" Annette giggled. "I"m not actually...hungry." She smiled. Rick blushed heavily, as he noticed her tugging on one of her straps.
"I knew Hoffman sounded familiar, d.a.m.nit!" Chris cried, slamming the car door shut. "Basically," He began.
"Let"s go somewhere...private." Annette smiled, walking over toward Rick. Rick rose up quickly.
"She was the aunt of a patient," he paused. "His name was Cole Hoffman, also known as 245." Tammy nodded anxiously.
"Just the two of us..." she said as she guided him towards the restrooms.
"245 was killed by a new doctor in the department,"
As they got in the bathroom, Annette locked the door from the inside. "Wouldn"t want anyone to ruin the fun." She winked. Rick looked at her purse, then quickly back up at her, as he leaned against the wall. "Mm, wouldn"t want that." He grinned.
"The Reaper," Chris looked at Tammy, who was covering her mouth in disbelief. "You mean..."
"The truth is," Annette began, as she she walked over toward Rick. "I"ve been waiting for this moment for awhile..." she said as she pinned one arm above him. "Really now?" Rick asked.
As their cab pulled up to the restaurant they ran in quickly. "Call the cops, now!" Chris shouted.
Annette nodded, reaching slowly into her purse. "I wanted to thank you...Mr. Reaper." She said, her voice going cold. "Thank you...for taking everything from me."
Annette stood there, frozen staring steadily down at the man. A knife jammed in his right shoulder. "Tch, you didn"t even flinch." She frowned. Rick sat there, staring down at the floor.
Suddenly, there was banging on the door. Annette looked up quickly, as she heard Tammy screaming. Chris, frantically trying to break down the door. She threw down the photo from in her purse toward Rick. Rick stared weakly at the photograph. The door came falling down. "Rick!" Tammy cried, as the two ran toward him. The police quickly handcuffed Annette. As they took her away, she kept her gaze steadily down. "Rick!" Chris cried, frantically grabbing his face. Relax ya idiot, I can hear ya just fine... Rick thought to himself, as everything faded to black.
