"Oi," Keren placed her hands on her hips. Norio looked up from the newspaper. "Hah?" Keren frowned. "You"ve been even more irritatingly quiet lately." Norio looked back down at the paper. "Oi! Don"t go ignorin" me ya jerk!" Keren cried. Norio groaned. "It"s too early for your c.r.a.p!" He grumbled as he got up. Keren folded her arms and sighed. As he got breakfast ready, Norio turned to Emersyn, and Vera. "Oi you two, wanna help put the blueberries in?" The two quickly looked up. "Really!?" Emersyn cried. "Mm!" Vera nodded eagerly. It"s really not that big a deal... Norio thought to himself. Keren leaning on the wall gave a smile. "He"s really at his best when it comes to these kids..." She closed her eyes, smiling.
As the day progressed, it proved to be a lazy type of day. Everyone was laying around the house bored.
Keren let out a loud sigh. "You guys are boring me to absolute death!" She said, getting up. "Where are you going?" Vera asked. "Somewhere with a sign of life!" She huffed, walking out the door. Emersyn, sitting on Norio"s lap looked up at him. Norio who was busy reading a book looked at her. "Yea?" He asked. "I love you!" Emersyn said, beaming. Norio blushed, and quickly looked at the floor. Vera looked up from her book, and smiled. Norio quickly went back to reading his book. Emersyn gave a frown. Norio looked at her again. "Now what is it?" Norio asked. Emersyn puffed her cheeks in frustration. "Dummy!" She suddenly cried out. Norio looked at her, shocked. As she stormed out of the room, Norio looked at Vera, who in turn pretended not to notice. He let out a sigh.
As night came, Keren was still out, Norio went on a walk, and Vera was next door with Norio"s sisters. Emersyn sat up on the couch, hugging a pillow. "Dummy..." she sniffled. "Oi," A voice called out. Emersyn looked around confused. She then realized it was Norio"s voice. She couldn"t see him, however. She folded her arms. "I"m not talkin to ya!" She grumbled. "Just open the garage door, I"m sorry." Emersyn"s eyes widened. "R-really...?" She asked. "Yes, really." His tone sounded soft, and sincere. "F-fine...!" Emersyn said, walking to press the b.u.t.ton on the garage. "Nori..." she paused. "Huh?" She frowned. "I"m too short..." She said, pouting. He sighed. "Grab the stool with that strength of yours." Emersyn frowned. "Fine!" She grumbled, grabbing the stool, singlehandedly with her bandaged arm. As she climbed the stool, she pressed the b.u.t.ton. "Good girl..." as the garage opened however, it wasn"t Norio waiting on the other side. A cloaked man smirked. Emersyn"s eyes widened. "Y-you"re not..." before she could finish, she fell unconscious. The cloaked man, caught her and laughed. "Man, too easy..." He said, as he ran off into the woods.
