Inside the adventurers guild was a surprisingly modern atmosphere. The place was lit by lamps that ran on something similar to electricity. From them I could feel a faint sense of mana. I nodded to myself in understanding. They seemed to have used magic to fill the hole of where science should have been. Or perhaps because of the presence of magic science had simply taken another path.

The first floor looked much like a redneck bar. It was dimly lit, and had paintings of the latest and greatest adventurers and monster kills. On the walls were the heads of various beasts, and the stuffed bodies of various beasts stood in the corners.

There were tables throughout the area, most of them packed with various different types of races of people. They were not segregated by race for the most part, they people intermingled freely.

I could see every type of race one could imagine. From the savage looking orcs to the graceful elves. The elves looked at me with hatred as I walked through the door. My dark skin a dead give away of my cursed status.

There were also beastmen everywhere. They looked at me curiously, my dark skin did not seem to deter them from my presence. Of course the most populous of the races were the humans. For every 10 people 8 of them were human.

These humans could not be easily put into categories either. Some of them looked save and others suave. Some preferred to wear almost nothing, while others wore clothing that closely resembled a suit. In short their was a huge diversity in both culture and style.

There were two areas of interst inside of the first floor. The first was the bar, my heart truly wanted to go to this place and satisfy my craving for a tasty adult beverage. However the pain in my abdomen quickly snapped me back to reality. (Oop there goes gravity)

The second area of interest was a place that reminded me of a bank. There were tellers behind a screen of sorts, taking information from their customers while giving or taking coins from them. This seemed to be the place I needed to go.

I ended up having to wait in line for over thirty minutes. I did not mind this after forcing my body to keep moving for two days a slight rest was rather peaceful. When it was my turn I was greeted by the adorable girl I had ever seen. She was of average height and had res hair. The top of her head was adorned by a pair of fluffy ears that I had the intense urge to feel. She had fair skin, and was wearing the black polo looking uniform that I had seen the other "Tellers" wearing. I Could tell from the slight b.u.mps under her s.h.i.+rt that she was not very well endowed in that regard.

Her green eyes shone as her face displayed a polite business like smile. "Hoe can I help you today Miss...?"

I gazed at her for a moment, lost in the enchanting beauty before me. "I...I"m here to see Lauren I have this letter she gave me.." As I spoke I pulled the letter of introduction out of my inventory again.

The cat girls eyes went wide as she read the letter. "You"re Yuri? The goblin that saved our vice guild master from that horrible fate?"

I smiled as I nodded "That"s me, Its only fair that you tell me yours. After all it"s not every day I come across such a beauty."

The girl blushed as she looked at me. "My name is Alexandra But my friends call me Alex."

Well then Alex, is it possible to see her? I"m kind of in desperate need at the moment. I opened my cloak as I said this, showing the poorly bandaged wound on my abdomen.

The girls eyes seemed to wander my body before they finally came to rest on my wound. Her cheeks were still red as she cried out. "Yes! I will take you to her right away!"

Groans could be heard from behind me as she put up her closed sign and rushed around the counter and grabbed my hand. She was not so gentle as she began to pull me towards a staircase in the back of the building.
