A Spoilt Princess

An kaira has been having those thoughts from the day he went to his mother .

by the time he reached her place, it was already late in the night and she was in bed trying to get some sleep .

KNOCK! KNOCK!

the sleepy Tanu woke complaining . " I have been looking for sleep and no one came to knock on my door and that I caught some, here they are, knocking like knocking at their own houses .

she opened the door only to find An kaira standing at door .

won"t you let me in? An kaira asked after seeing that the woman was hesitant to let him into the house .

"what brings you here?

you"re my mother, don"t I have a right to visit you?

Tanu stood in the way with no sign of allowing An kaira in to her house .

hmm, it seems I have no place in this house anymore but don"t worry, if I leave this time, I will never bother you again . An kaira said .

Tanu and her son have been more like friends than mother and son . An kaira only calls her when he has questions . he never calls to check on her or converse like parents and their kids . it has been two year since he stepped in to his mother"s house . that day, his father brought him here saying that the house was full of memories . memories that make him happy . the past he doesn"t regret .

The silence between the two continued until when An kaira decided to leave . he turned and walked steps away when he had Tanu"s voice .

" son, if you still want to sleep . if you still want to eat and party like you have been, stop looking through your father"s past . you don"t deserve carrying his burdens with you .

you"re young to bare things that will never let you sleep peacefully . if you"re not scared, come in . Tanu was done talking . she went and sat on the sofa waiting to see An kaira . she left the doors open for him .

An kaira stood still but later he decided to go in . he moved closer to the door but, the closer he got, the more nervous he became . he wanted to know everything but not things that will make him look crazy . he had seen his father in that state, he didn"t want to follow his foot steps .

"Mr"s Tanu, if you ever get a chance to talk to the woman I once knew, please do tell her that she has a son . a son who loves her dearly and son who needs her more than anything . please tell her for me . the teary Kaira said while standing at the door way . he pulled the doors together from the outside and left .

From that day on, he chose to keep a closed eye on his father"s past .

Roline, aren"t you going to work today too? An asked seeing that the woman beside him had no plans to wake up any time soon .

yes, do you have any problem with that?

no, it"s just that it has been days since you last went for work .

don"t worry, you"re finishing your studies soon .

so? An asked not knowing where his studies connect with Roline"s work .

I want to be home all day and that means you can work in my place if you want . some few months from now, you will be working with my dad so, I have nothing to worry about .

the husband will go for work, as the wife spends . how is that? cool, right? Roline said looking at An provokingly .

hmm, I won"t have a problem with your spending, as long as you improvise ways on how to pay me back . right?

taking you to school will be my biggest regret . I never win any arguments with you these days . Roline complained as she went off the bed and headed to the bathroom leaving An laughing at her groggy sight .

An was now a normal person that had dreams and inspirations . they have been living happily through jokes and playing around the house .

from the day An started to stay home in the name of a two-weeks vacation, Roline has not been going to work . that"s when he decided to ask her but he knew, he will never get the answer that he wanted .

he still felt happy that she will never let him stay home alone especially if he is unwell .

the day that An was ordered around resulted in to muscle pain . he was unable to move his body the next morning which worried Roline .

Roline never wanted to take any step away from him, she only relaxed when she saw him taking medicine and slipped in to sleep . when he woke up the next morning, Roline gave him a gym card .
