"I know that you"re busy to find the cure for the Princess," Han Yunyi spoke after some hesitation. "But don"t force yourself. None of us want anything bad to happen to you.""I know," she smiled. The wound on her shoulder has healed, but she felt a jab of pain on her shoulder as if it was a punishment for lying. "I won"t do anything dangerous. Trust me."
Jiang Huan nodded. He emptied the Longjing tea in his cup. "You can always tell me if you need any help. I may have let go of my position and returned my command tally to the Emperor, but those men will lend me a hand if I have any request."
Mingyue smiled. "Thank you. But my brothers and Yang Yun had promised to help me. They have sent their men to look for the final herbs we are looking for. We will have a result sooner or later."
Jiang Huan nodded, and chest lightened up a little bit. It was good to hear that the boys are looking after his daughter. He was worried that his daughter might be reckless to search for the herbs needed to cure the Princess.
Even though his sons and Yang Yun would take a turn to accompany her to look for the herbs, he couldn"t help but worry. After all, she was their only daughter.
He cared about the Princess well being. After all, he had watched the Princess grew up with Mingyue. But he is a father, and his priority would always be his daughter"s safety.
"Come, let"s have breakfast first," Han Yunyi said. Once everyone was seated, Han Yunyi picked up a small savory roll and inhaled. The smell of b.u.t.ter, herbs, and cheese made her hungrier. She broke the pastry into two and took a bite.
"Is it good?" Jiang Huan asked his wife. He reached to wipe the crumbs on the corner of her lips.
Han Yunyi lowered her gaze and stared at his husband. She finished the food in her hand and wiped her hand with a wet towel. She raised her head and turned to her daughter when she recalled something.
"Mingyue, will you be free tomorrow?" Han Yunyi asked. She smiled when her daughter gave her a questioning look. "I received news that your wedding dress is ready."
"Isn"t that too soon? There"s still a few months before the wedding."
Her smile widened when she saw how her daughter"s face turned slightly red. "It"s good that the dress is ready early. If there"s any alteration need to be done, it can be done earlier."
Mingyue pondered for a while. "I still have so much to do in the Royal Infirmary." She said.
She had left the Capital for a month to look after the herbs they needed to concoct the medicine for the Princess, and when she came back, there were piles of works waiting for her.
"How about next week?" she said after thinking for a while.
Han Yunyi nodded. "Then, I will set an appointment with the shop for your dress fitting."
