Josiah immediately let go of Charles. Charles had that same look on his face as the first time this happened. His eyes were white. On his face, his mouth turned to a grin of pure evil. Josiah backed out of the circle, wide eyed. Akila stood to the side, her face with this look of astonishment. She had never thought that this could happen again. She watched as Charles"s hair became lighter, almost pink. His skin faded black. Josiah screamed as Charles lunged at him. Akila ran and blocked him with her staff."Charles! Stop it! This isn"t you!" She yelled pushing back to keep him at bay. He wrapped his hands around the staff and pulled it away. "Charles! Please stop!"
"Akila. Move. Now," Charles said throwing the staff to the side. He stepped to the side to walk around her, but Akila moved to block his path.
"Charles! Stop this now!" Akila yelled putting her hands on his shoulders to stop him. Charles shook his head and his eyes started to become his original again. He smiled and his eyes turned from white to black, as if he had lost all thought of who he was. "Charles, wake up! Please!"
Charles turned his head upwards to stare at Josiah. Josiah shrieked and hid behind his throne. Charles pushed Akila out of his way and she fell to the floor. He ran at a speed unimaginable at that time. He pulled Josiah out from behind the throne and threw him across the room. He ran again and pulled him. He grabbed his arm and swung Josiah back into the wall.
"Charles! Stop this!" Akila yelled, staggering up. She grabbed her staff and aimed it at Charles. "Simoraphinae!" She yelled and Charles immediately froze, Josiah in his hands.
"Akila! Oh thank you!" Josiah said smiling.
"I"m not done with you yet. This is just delaying the inevitable. I need to try and get Charles out of this state," Akila said prying Josiah from Charles grasp.

"Akila! Let me go! Now!" Charles yelled, his eyes turning back from black to white.
"Charles, I can"t do that until you stop whatever this is!" Akila said sitting Josiah in a corner. He was cowering behind his hands, scared of whatever was happening. He was confused. "Charles, what is going on? This isn"t you."
"Akila, I"ve told you before. I don"t know what this is. I"ve never known. This has happened for years."
"How do I get you out of this?" Akila said, dropping her staff to her side.
"I don"t know," Charles said.
Akila walked closer to Charles and placed her hand on his cheek. His skin was warm from his anger. "Charles, maybe the trigger isn"t fire. It"s anger. You need to stop being angry. Calm down. Breathe. Just breathe."
Charles looked at Akila and took a deep breath. His eyes seemed to go back to normal, but turned back to white. "Akila. It isn"t going to work. I won"t calm down till that motherf.u.c.ker is dead!"
Akila looked at Josiah and sighed. She grabbed her staff and readied it. "I"m sorry for this Josiah," Akila said aiming.
"No, I"m sorry for this," Josiah said standing up. He drew his sword and threw it and Charles piercing his stomach.
"Charles! No! You little b.a.s.t.a.r.d!" Akila yelled, "PERPINDIXIA!" A bright stream of red magic hit Josiah.
Blood poured from his wounds. "Well, I guess anger really is the cause for the world"s pain..." he said with his dying breath.
"Charles! s.h.i.t!" Akila said releasing the spell. She laid Charles on the ground and placed her hands on the wound. She started mumbling the healing spell she often used. She could feel Charles"s breathing slow.
"Akila.... thank you," He said placing his hand on hers. The wound had healed, blood was sitting on Akila"s hands.
"Oh Charles, I thought I was gonna lose you!" Akila said, kissing Charles.
"Well, I"m here. You"ll never lose me," he said hugging Akila. "I think it"s time to get out of here now."
"Yeah. I guess so," Akila said helping Charles up. "You ready?"
"Yeah. Let"s get out of this h.e.l.lhole."
