"The uncertainties in life are so uncertain for us to determine the kind woe we shall be entangled in the next future. When you stay dormant, your life is at risk; when you dare to take a step, you take a step to take a risk. We have a choice. Yes! a choice to choose to dare to get to our real reasons on earth or to choose to live in mediocrity and conformity, but, we ought to note that, it is riskier to risk nothing when the life we live is always at risk."

Unsure of the trouble she created, unknown of the bomb she dropped on social media, and unsure of the consequence of her action she will face later, Alyssa was traveling towards Fate Alley. Well the great beauty of life is its mystery, the inability to know what course our life will take, and diligently work to trans.m.u.te into our final form based upon a lifetime of constant discovery and enterprising effort.

Accepting the unknown and unknowable eliminates regret.

The train jolted reviving Alyssa from her thoughts.

She looked around her to find many empty seats near her and people cramming away when there was sufficient s.p.a.ce in front of her. Even people at one-meter distance from her were covering their nose or fanning their faces. "Were they felling hot in this cold weather?" Alyssa was amused by their action. She further looked around to find some people hardly holding their breath, making their faces tomato red. Their eyes were bulging out and they looked like they prefer fainting or dying rather than breathing.

Alyssa was confused. As she raised her hands to call an old lady standing away from her to sit beside her a very foul smell penetrated her nose. It smelt like rotten corpse or even worse. Alyssa scrunched up her eyebrows to find the source of the smell. It was near, very near to her.

"Maybe it"s beneath my seat." At the thought of this Alyssa got up from her seat. As soon as she stood, a wave of foul smell hit her followed by growls of fellow pa.s.sengers.

She sniffed the air, but before she can find the source, unable to tolerate the smell any further, a little girl with two cute little ponies, holding her mother"s hand looked angrily to her and frustratedly said "Did you p.o.o.p your pants?"

Knowing very well what the girl was referring to she turned scarlet.

Before she can open her mouth to explain her situation the train stopped, indicating her arrival in Fate alley.

Alyssa hurriedly took her backpack and made her way towards the door. The pa.s.sengers hurriedly made their way to give her the pa.s.sage. n.o.body wants to be in contact with her.

Alyssa alighted from the train and breathed a sigh of relief.

She made her way towards a ticket checker to inquire about some information about the city.

In Coral Bells government positions were distributed on the basis of strength too. It has nothing to do with merits.

For example, higher positions were given to Alphas followed by Beta then followed by Gamma. Again, an Alpha with more strength will get a higher position compared to an Alpha of lesser strength. The same ranking system is followed in terms of Beta and Gamma.

Omegas are present to serve the upper ranks. They are never eligible to get any type of position in the government. Omegas of n.o.ble origin or whose father or mother are Alphas and are in a better position in the society become employees in the company under their family, preventing them to become slaves like the rest of the Omegas.

Seeing a girl coming towards her, the ticket checker straightened his posture but the latter frowned when her smell hit him.

Before Alyssa can open her mouth to ask something, he rudely interrupted her saying "Show your ticket."

Seeing his stretched hands, Alyssa blinked her eyes in confusion. Then it drowned to her. SHE DOESN"T HAVE ANY TICKET.

This is totally called "shooting oneself in the foot".

c.r.a.p!!!!!

Alyssa swiftly turned and bolted in the opposite direction. The ticket checker was stunned for a moment before realization drowned to him and he ran towards her direction.

The train checker was a Gamma but his strength was not much better than that of an Omega. Plus, Alyssa had an advantage of time so she didn"t get caught. She exited the station and started roaming around the streets on foot.

It was 4:30 in the evening. The sky was turning dark. Even after walking for several hours she didn"t find any betting booth that can interest her. Then suddenly Alyssa"s eyes landed on a booth. It was a small shabby booth. In one glance it can be said that the booth owner was a poor man. But Alyssa noticed that the booth master was not wearing any clothes of any coa.r.s.e fabric. Though the color and appearance of the fabric seem that it was of poor quality but it was not poor at all. Alyssa"s eyes brightened. The shabby booth and the coa.r.s.e clothes were indeed meant to deceive the customers.

Alyssa walk forward to see the game they were playing. It was the most common game of all the games she knew. There were three little broken earthen bowls with a small ball in between them. The booth master doddles the ball, confusing the customers. In the end the customers have to point a cup to see that the cup contains the ball or not.

The betting price was not high it was 1-2 dollars, but the profit was very high. Alyssa was intrigued. She observed the game for a while then she called the booth master.

The booth master ignored her because the was a smelly girl with a rugged appearance and she seemed poor.

Guessing what the booth master was thinking Alyssa took out a five-dollar bill from her pockets and placed it on the counter.

Seeing that Alyssa has money, the booth master motioned her to come forward to play the game. The winner will get 20,000 dollars. It was said that to date n.o.body had won the grand prize. Always people use to lose in this game. But that didn"t stop them from trying their luck.

Alyssa lost the first match.

She knew her gaze was sharp and the ball was in the bowl that she had pointed.

Confused about the trick used in the game she again placed five dollars on the counter. The booth owner mocked her in disdain before keeping her money in his pockets.

The game began. Then she saw the trick. She confidently pointed his fingers at the third bowl while the rest of the people were pointing at the second bowl.

They mocked her because never in any of the tricks the ball appeared in the third bowl. Before the booth owner can uncover the ball, the held the booth owner"s hand so that he can"t transfer the ball into other bowls sneakily, startling him. Before he can react, she upturned the bowl revealing a small ball beneath it. There was an uproar. A strange smelly girl had won the grand prize. She was the first person to win the prize.

The booth owner gritted his teeth and reluctantly handed her 20,000 dollar cash.

Winning is not always punctual but eventually it comes.
