-The next Day-June and Gray were in a cave checking on Pokémon. Gray had received a job and wanted to do it. One to feel better and enjoy life more. Two to spend time with June. One step at a time to make his friends happy.
"Woah," June said as she secured her anchor again. Just to be sure. "I cant believe I let you talk me into this." She did not like the idea of climbing. Or a place with a little to no light. Side effects from the time in the Dark Forest.
"You can always head back. I will study the area on my own."" Gray said, as he moved up securing his next anchor. "Tink, tink," the pin lodged in perfectly. "I didnt think you would be in this bad of shape." He teased her, he wanted her here but not at the expense of her feeling like it was forced.
"I am in great shape!" June snapped. "Did you take me down here cause you thought I needed to lose weight!?"
"Pftt, June weight is definitely something you dont need to lose. In fact," Gray slid back down to get even with her. His psychic energy washing against the walls making sure everything remained in place. "I love your body just the way it is. You are a researcher June, this is right up your avenue I figured. I did have alternative reason for getting you here."
"Gulp, and that is what?" June started to flush a little.
"You and me need to talk more when we are alone. You are more flirtatious as well. I want you to smile more." Gray ran his hand on her back and pulled her close. "You are more you I guess to say. That is what I noticed. The other reason to take you down here, is to have you gain a little more understanding in physical activity. There are a lot of places that will require extensive work. I rather you not rely on your aura alone to get you through those areas. The body needs to be strong as well as the mind."
"I see. That makes sense." June nodded her head. "If the others wanted to come as well, would you still have acted like this?"
"Yes. I agree to reign it in. That is in public. That is far as I am willing to go really. However, if you don"t want me acting this way with you, then I wont." Gray let go and floated back to his side of the cave exterior. Gripping the wall he started to climb back up again. "Your choice June."
"Yeah.. my choice." Tightening her grip she climbed the wall. Her destination at the top spurned her on. "Chroma, I have decided."
Chroma heard the conversation between the two but lazed about inside. "Oh, and that would be?"
"I am going for Gray. I will do whatever it takes to keep him from turning into that man in the future. It hurt to much to watch."
"Oh, is that the only reason?"
"Yes." June said lying to herself. "No I also want that ring. I dont know how I got it from him. But I know I want that ring again." The image of the others pa.s.sed in her memory. "I dont know what kind of relationship Jackie and myself had, but I knew we became close friends. As for Sabrina.." Grabbing the next foothold she pulled up and stopped to secure another anchor. "I will do my best to help her escape from the League. Even if it means I have to tell Gray about it."
"That is good." Chroma said before yawning.
"If I didn"t know any better, I would think you didn"t believe me." June felt her voice was a little off.
"Not at all. In fact June, I know you will try. That future has already disappeared. So whether you succeed or not, remains to be seen. And no I will not check to see if it will or not. I want you to go at this just as you are now."
"Right." June reached the top and felt a slight weakness in her hands. While talking with Chroma she forgot to pace herself. "Whew," she exhaled deeply. The moment she did so the remainder of her strength left her.
Gray kept tabs on her the entire time. With that last exhale he wrapped his psychic power on her. Just coating it around her in case something like this happened.
"c.r.a.p," June slipped and slid down. Her anchor caught. She fell only a few feet. But enough to give her a fright. Looking at the anchor she wanted to cry. "No wonder the guide stressed the anchor use so much. Gray a little help."
Floating down Gray looked her over to make sure everything was ok. Checking the line he saw it was secure as well. The anchors holding in place caused him to smile.
"What is it?" Following along she received her answer. Her weight was on the anchor and her feet were against the wall bracing her. "Huh, guest that drilling worked. Hey I thought you said you were gonna catch me?"
"I was going to if you fell. You only slipped a little." Seeing her face frown Gray continued. "I wrapped my psychic around right as your grip loosened. I was only going to let you slide till the lock or the clip catches."
"Why?!"
"To make sure you gain faith in yourself. You set the locks and the anchors. You didnt think they would work but they did. Every climber needs to experience a trip, slip, or a fall. It allows them to decide if they wish to continue or not." Gray shook his head at seeing her face.
"Just take me up." June said slightly irked.
Gray did just that as he picked her up the same way he grabbed her earlier. Moving up to the top he let go. Checking over the sides he slid back down and secured his remaining anchors. June watched slightly ticked.
"You are angry for the wrong reasons."
"It felt so scary falling like that. I know it was only a few feet but still." June shook the feeling away. "I rather have not felt that."
"June even if you would have fell, there was a net to catch you. Gray placed a few every five feet made of his aura energy. If you did fall and he didnt grab you in time, they would have."
"Ehh," June walked over and looked. Focusing her own aura energy she felt the weird burst of Gray" aura everywhere. Besides the nets, a few of the rock surfaces had the same. "Gray are you training?"
"Huh, well yeah I am. Controlling my finesse you could say. I want to make sure the place was safe as well get in and out without any problem. I wont be able to teleport all the time so this was good practice."
"Aren"t you tired?" June asked walking over.
"Well, yeah. I am human yah know." Gray said smiling at her. "But making sure this went ok was the better option. If you want, I can transport you back to the others and I will finish up here. It should only take a few hours for me to get the samples and a few pictures of the native pokemon." He stood there rubbing his chin as he calculated the time it would take along with the deadline.
"No I will stay." June said feeling a little ashamed she was so angry. "I won"t complain anymore."
"Not really complaining . Just expressing yourself is all.
I was ahead of myself with getting you to come with. Should have probably thought more about it." Gray shrugged his shoulders. "Live and learn. Let"s get this stuff and head out."
-A Few hours later-
"So wait .. you and June were in that waterfall all close and didnt do anything. Hah! That is rich." Jackie said. "I see the way you look at her Gray, like a piece of meat."
"Hmm, yeah I guess I do." Gray said looking back. Looking at Jackie from the side he couldn"t help taking her in. "I look at you the same way despite the fact you are turning back and forth. It"s like a little switch flips everytime you do. Are you gonna choose a side eventually?"
"I dont know. I feel better this way.. but I cant decide if this the right thing to do by my sister." Jackie voice started to get low.
"Oh and why is that?" Gray asked. His eyes shifted to furthur ahead to a rest stop. Seeing that it was empty, he decided it was time for a break. "Tell me."
"You were married to my sister. I don"t know if it would be right for me to do this." Jackie drop that little bombsh.e.l.l and sped up. Gray just watched her run and slowed his walk till the others caught up. Seeing their expressions, he had to tell them. "So apparently the Gray that Jackie thinks I am married his sister. That"s a little wild right?"
"Uh huh, and yet you are here making moves on Jackie. Do you have any remorse?" Sabrina asked. June just looked a little puzzled.
"Not even a little." Gray said shaking his head. "I am not that person. Maybe I have a twin or a evil cone or something. Even with my memories coming back. I know for a fact I am not married or in a relationship. So no reason to fill remorse. It would be a different story if I had memories of being married. Then I would feel some type of way."

"If you were married to her would that matter?" June asked.
"Well yeah. If I was married and then forgot I would feel like c.r.a.p. That is like if I married one of you two and forgot I would feel sick to my stomach." Gray shook the feeling away as he remembered something Saint Peter said. "Ugh I wonder if I can make Jackie smile somehow."
"Gray stop!" June yelled. "She walked over and grabbed Grays hand. "I want you to read my mind. Like right now!" Her voice was firm. Gray grabbed hold and did so. To him it felt like hours. But only a few seconds pa.s.sed.
"What in the living h.e.l.ls!" Gray couldn"t even get the words together. He felt Empress trembled inside of him. She recoiled in horror and came out of him. She stared at Sabrina as if she would kill her. "Empress stop!" Gray forced her back inside the Expokeball. "We will talk about this later I promise."
"I couldn"t keep this from you much longer. It has already changed from what I have been told. We can make it better I promise." June pleaded. She felt scared.
"Aye we will. Count on it." Calming down, Gray looked at Sabrina. "There is a way to get your memories back faster Do you want to do it?"
"I.. I dont. I don"t like what I have remembered so far." Sabrina said slightly caught unprepared.
"Very well. Know this Sabrina... We are here for you despite what you think you have done. I am not going anywhere neither is Jackie or June." Turning around Gray walked to the hut pulling June along. "Come on, I am gonna need your help with her."
