Outside the ship was going through docking procedures. Trainers, Breeders and Workers made it topside. Several talks about the large man-made island. Another location built out in the water from several mountains connected and platforms linking togethor. It took eight year with the help of a "company" donating funds. None had been able to figure out who the company was led by."Woah look at that!" A trainer pointed at the side of the tallest mountain. All along the side it was getting excavated he thought at first. But closer look revealed more dirt and rock getting attached. "I wonder if we can go to buy some stuff before we head to the battle zone?"
"Nope. I think they are repairing from the mining incident from last year." Another trainer added. He took out a pair of binoculars and looked over. "Yup they are. All the minerals have been cleaned out. Now they are mixing it in with some artificial components to restore the mountain." That is what he saw from the quick glance.
"Is that why there are so many Geodudes working?" Another trainer asked.
"That is right." A young man answered. He had silver hair and a youthful look about him. Constant aura fluctuations were around his body. Every now and then, his hair would turn back to it"s natural color of red. "Anyway stay clear of the water near it. I heard there were some powerful Pokemon down below."
"Stop teasing them Silver!" A girl said coming over. She had the same aura problems as the boy Silver. A very upbeat personality and a smile for days. Her hair was a weird dark blue that border on brown when the light hit it. When her aura fluctuated, it turned crystal clear. Which fit her name.
"Just giving them a heads up Crystal." The boy Silver said. "I do not want to spend time rescuing them. Things are troublesome enough."
"Why? What is going on?" The first trainer asked.
"Rampaging pokemon as of late. Best to keep on your guard are stay alert to run." Gold said. His tone was not pa.s.sionate and could come off slightly rude. "Just saying, be careful if you do decide to go ash.o.r.e around this area." The trainers nodded and commit it to memory.
"Come on slow poke." Sabrina said. She was still pulling on Gray slightly. For some reason, she was enjoying doing so. Ori was laughing inside her. "You know you want to see what Pokemon are in the area to."
"Yeah, you right. Best to get work out the way for enjoyment." Gray said after thinking about it. A msile formed on his face. "Hey Sabrina, do you have a bikini?"
"No why?"
"Oh, so we can go skinny dipping then."
"No way! I will go to buy one later." Sabrina said slightly embarra.s.sed.
"All natural is not that bad." Gray teased. She let him go as she thought about it. Taking the chance, Gray released all the Taillow, Pyron, and the Vulpix"s. "Alright, recon mode." He ordered.
"Pidg gotto!" On it! Pyron said. The Vulpix were picked up by the Taillow and flew off. Gray then let out his Totodile (G.o.dzilla) as well Nidorino (t.i.tan).
"You ready?" Gray asked. G.o.dzilla looked at him and smiled. "Pokefusion." Placing his hand on top, the two fused.
"Wooom!" The aura pulsed out over the deck.
Gray received a set of scales all across his body. His mouth extended a little to accommodate the strength his jaws now carried. Down his spine, little yellowfins appeared. His scaled leathery fingers had sharp claws at the end. Blinking a little, the additional membrane had appeared over the eyes. His tail was not as flexible, but it would help with swimming.
"Hmmm, very different." Gray said as he flexed his hands. With a stretch of his neck, he felt the limitation of fusing with a Pokemon that was still developing. "At least it consumes less energy."
"Taking the water I take it?" Sabrina asked. Gray gave her a nod. "I think I will help in the air with recon. Go Swellow!" She released the pokemon into the air. It hovered to the side of the ship and she hopped on. "Be careful."
"I will most defintely. Worried about me already?" Gray asked. He jumped on the railing and was crouched as he looked at her. The trainers tared in awe. To them, Gray seemed more wild Pokemon than human. One even thought about throwing a pokeball at him. With a look from Gray, he did not. "I promise to be careful. Hopefully I can get some good fights in while solving this problem."
"Good. Bye." Sabrina said pulling off on Swellow. She didnt get far before she released Fennekin.
"Grrr how interesting." Gray said looking down at the water. Little streams of water had a discolored look. "Let"s go t.i.tan."
"Hmmm!" t.i.tan jumped in doing a cannonball. Gray did a straight dive.
"Dush! Dush!" The two did not come up as they traveled deeper. Off to the side, Silver and Crystal stood by. They actually wanted to greet Sabrina and get her picture. But nerves got the better of Crystal. And Silver didnt know how to say anything considering their history.
"Well we can try later. They both are on the cruise." Silver said to Crystal. The young woman agreed and they decided to go rest before they did their work later in the day.
-A few hours later-
Gray and t.i.tan were eating a Remoraid that attacked them. They told the Pokemon to beat it, but it didn"t listen. They made quick work of it and enjoyed the meal. Something Gray found odd that eating it raw did not bother him. He chalked it up to the way Totodile"s like raw food.
"Splash!" Gray jumped onto a cave that contained. a decent air supply. t.i.tan walked up instead of jumping. Looking as round they didnt spot anything so took a break.
"How did you enjoy the swim?" Gray asked t.i.tan. The Pokemon was getting the hang of using its aura more.
"Great!" t.i.tan responded. It rolled on the ground a little happily. "I like swimming alongside you and G.o.dzilla. Can we do this more?"
"Of course. But now we have to work."
"Ok!" t.i.tan played next to Gray as it rested.
"How are you feeling G.o.dzilla?" Gray asked the little Totodile.
"Its good. I like it. It makes me excited for the future. When I evolve we will become stronger and faster." G.o.dzilla was quite ecstatic. Considering this was a mission to help Pokemon in the area made it even better.
10 minutes later they were on the move. A few pokemon spotted them but left after awhile. Seeing as Gray did not attack made them stay away. Traveling down a path, they found the problem.
"Well crud. That is not good." Gray looked at the drums that had the liquid he spotted in the water earlier. Looking closer revealed how much of a problem it was. Sabrina, can you hear me?" He thought out to her.
(Drum: Contains artificial aura. Side effects: Mental instability in Pokemon. A decrease in human lifespan. Benefits: Increased strength in aura.)
"I hear you Gray. I ran into some trouble." Sabrina thought back. In front of her and the Pokemon were several people in hazmat suits. They were disposing of the chemical by burying it in the mountain. On the side, Geodude"s were throwing dirt over it. "The company is dumping toxic material by the drum into the mountain."
"I found some underground as well." Gray thought back. Then he realized something so he had to ask. "Hey isn"t there a Pokemon made of chemicals? One that is just sentient because of toxic waste?" Gray could not remember which one it was at the time.
"Yeah it is called.. s.h.i.t got to go Gray. Have a battle on my hands!" Sabrina broke the connection as she dealt with the Pokemon that caught up.
"Well c.r.a.p." Gray said. "Huh!?" He turned just in time to see t.i.tan fire his Poison Sting at a moving blob. "Now I remember!"

"Muk!" The blob yelled. It trudged across the ground towards them. Gray spread his aura over the Pokemon to try and talk to it.
"Easy there. He only attacked because you snuck up on us." Gray spoke calmly to the pokemon. "How the h.e.l.l did I not even sense its presence? Or hear it for that matter?"
"Are you here to hurt?" Muk asked confused Gray thought. It looked side to side not really stating at him. "Where you go?"
"Easy t.i.tan." Gray soothe the Nidorino as he moved forward. As calm as he could, he spoke to Muk again. "I am right here. Just relax and focus on my voice."
"Here?" Muk asked. It then dipped its head into itself and reformed in the other direction. It was having trouble staying togethor. To the side pieces of it seperated and dissolved.
"Easy." Gray wrapped it in his aura and tried to cleanse the confusion away. He felt the Blessing of Lugia pulse. "Waaaah!" Gray made a weird sound that hit Muk.
"Huh!? How did I get here?" Muk asked snapping out of it. Thinking about the last thing it did cleared some things up. It turned to the drum and was about to go and eat it. "Food!"
"Do not eat that!" Gray yelled. Muk turned an looked at him. It became quite agitated. It thought Gray was going to steal its meal. "That stuff is toxic. Even to your kind. Do not eat it. It must be disposed of."
"Noo!" Muk yelled. It wrapped itself completely around the drums. "Raaaaghh!" Muk screamed in pain as its body mixed with the spill. Its body started to enlarge and stick out in several directions.
"Bam!" What looked to be an arm hit the ceiling. "Bam!" A second head swept out in a sweep. Gray and t.i.tan barely had enough time to duck. "Whack!" The head carves across the wall revealing more drums.
"That looks bad." t.i.tan said as it backed up. The energy from the drums concentrated made it feel sick. "I.. dont .. feel so.. m good Gray."
"Well.. c.r.a.p. Gray couldnt do anything about that. Grabbing t.i.tan he sent a thought to all the Pokemon in the area. "This chemical is toxic and will cause you to go crazy." He added the image of Muk currently mutating and rampaging. "Stay far away from it." They either listen or didnt. He needed to retreat.
"Woosh!" He used Teleport. "Tap!" As soon as his foot touched the dock, Gray yelled to the ship.
"Pull the ship back! An explosion is about to happen!" Gray was not taking a chance they wouldn"t listen. Threaten explosion and people tended to react it also helped with what happened next. "Oh c.r.a.p!" The dock started to shake a little.
"Boom!" A part of the mountain blew apart. A large purple had reached out of the side. Then another, followed by a multi-headed Muk. "Crash!" Several pieces of the mountain were revealed. the people down below were almost crushed.
"Hah!" Gray pushed his psychic energy towards them and yanked. The people came flying towards him instantly. however, Gray did not focus on it. And was more worried about pulling them away. "Hope you can swim!" He couldnt bother with checking on them after that.
"Mmmuuuuukkk!" The confused Pokemon started reaching for the other drums" insight.
"Gray!" Sabrina yelled. She came down with Swellow and stopped a few feet away from. The others were carrying several people in hazmat suits. The Vulpix kept them supported with psychic energy. "Dop them over there." Sabrina pointed and the people were let go. "Hah!" With a grunt, she used the move Disable. The people could no longer move.
"Bad people." Fennekin said. She hopped down and stared at the people. "Do not think of running!" She used the move Mean Look on them.
"Umm right." The people mumbled and cowered. One dressed in a suit just looked back defiant. "Just let it go Director." One of the people said.
"The company has been doing illegal dumping for years. This island is saturated with it and the chemical that produces artificial aura." Sabrina said. Her tone was that of disgust. "They have also dumped the bodies of Pokemon that failed the experiments."
"What did you expect? We need the edge in case the world goes crazy again." The Director said. "Pokemon might start attacking again. We need to be ready. No matter the sacrifice."
"Hmmm." Gray walked over and placed his hands on the man"s head. "Psychic." He attacked the man"s mind-reading his thoughts and entire history. He was. a G.o.dd man, just lost to much 10 years ago. "Hah, innocent." Gray couldnt believe it when he pulled back.
"Squish!" In his hands were some of the Arceus toxins. It infected the man"s thoughts as well as the people with him. Waving his hands, Gray siphoned it from the rest of the people. He did not absorb it. "Squish!" He destroyed it and watched as the remnants floated away into the air.
"What have I done!?" The Director asked tearfully. "It was not suppose to be this way." The man started crying like the others. This confused the security guards on the St.Anne.
"Boom!" Another explosion went off inland.
"So this island seems to be about done." Gray said offhandley. "I have no idea how to stop that thing. Unless we do something stupid."
"What"s the stupid thing you are about to do?" Sabrina asked. Her head was c.o.c.ked to the side in antic.i.p.ation. "It is most likely the best chance to get this done."
"I throw a pokeball at it." Gray said serious. "Then I break it the moment I do so. Hopefully, the lock mechanism keeps in place for a while. If cannot power up, it cannot release."
"That is a stupid plan." Sabrina nodded. "But, it could work maybe. I have no ideas that will work. There are to many people on the island below. To many for an evacuation."
-Elsewhere in a hospital-
"Ash it is maybe time to retire." Serena said. "We have a family to take care of."
"I know.. it is just.. I lost Charizard. All I can think about is getting revenge." He gripped his hands tightly on the bed rails. Pikachu slept in a small bed to the side recovering. "I cannot sit with this loss."
"Hah.. then this is goodbye then." Serena stood up. Ash looked at her shocked. "You care more for that, then our family. You put the league interest ahead of our own as well. You won once. Only once! Can you not realize your mistakes yet?!" Seeing him remain silent, Serena had enough. "I will do what I can to make sure my "family" is prepared for your death!" Her Sylveon stood up and came over to her.
"Wait Serena!" Ash voice stopped her at the door. "Just let me do this last challenge."
"No. It is always one more this or that. It is crazy." Serena turned to him with tears in her eyes. "When Gary went missing, I did everything to help you. Even missing several compet.i.tions. When you gave up that and went back to doing the Pokemon challenge I supported you. No more Ash."
"Thunk!" The door slammed behind her. Pikachu popped up before laying back down.
"It will be ok bud. Just a little disagreement." Ash said. He rubbed Pikachu"s head in comfort. Gripping his chest he felt a rush of aura energy. "Why have to keep moving on, right Charizard?"
Inside Ash, Charizard"s final bit of power had created a Pokemon soul for him. Both it and Ash would be togethor till he died.
