An Adult In Pokemon

Chapter 34

"So let me get this straight. You, Sabrina, were an undercover agent for the Pokemon League. You pretended to join team Rocket to help undercover possible traitors to the League. Not only did you succeed at your job but you uncovered several plots and helped train the Trainer Red. He was then able to thwart some of the potential problems that unfolded under the Leagues noses." Jacob said tapping his foot."You deserve a lot more than what they gave you for that."

"That is correct," Sabrina said sourly.

"Your reputation was ruined due to Lance thinking you went full traitor and was upset thinking you hid some information from the League. You took another job to help clear your name but ended up in one of the dungeons for several years. You came back a stronger Psychic but with no memory of your time in the dungeon. You dont even know how long you spent there."

"Correct again," Sabrina said feeling down. She felt a dull pain in her chest with Gray not around. It was different with her not feeling his presence at all. Ori said it was because of the blessings from the twins.

"Jacob I think that"s enough questioning at her," June said trying to get his focus on someone else.

"Ok," Jacob turned to Misty. "You are the former Gym Leader of Cerulean City. You use to travel with those two there." He said pointing at Ash and Brock. "You all parted ways a few times got together and went your own separate ways eventually. You also fell in a Mystery Dungeon and disappeared from here for about a decade. You have no memory of your time in the dungeon. You returned with none of your Pokemon, you barely remember your life here, besides fleeting memories. You left home unable to deal with your siblings and their looks of pity. As a Gym Leader, well a former one anyway, you decided to become an Elite Trainer to start a new life. Is that the gist of it?"

"Yes," Misty said looking away from his scrutinizing gaze.

"If you want to travel with them so badly, why didnt you just call them and travel with them instead from the get-go?" Jacob said coldly.

"I wanted to meet new people. I didnt want to be bogged down by a past I didnt remember." Misty said sulking.

"Yet you have met new people, but want to travel with your old ones as well. That defeats the purpose dont you think?" Jacob felt a little panic set in but he was able to get rid of it with his aura. "A bad memory again. Sister, you better be ok wherever you are."

"Jacob that is enough." Said Ash taking a chance at Jacob not speaking.

"Screw you, Ash!" Jacob turns to him glowering in cold fury. "If you would have shut up back then, we wouldn"t have this problem. Now Gray is gone somewhere unknown. If he is hurt I swear I will kill you! My people are not like your soft ones. The dungeons are dangerous."

"In what way?" Ash asked.

"You haven"t been to a dungeon yet?" Jacob asked surprised. "You are not kidding, are you. Dungeons change people. They remember things they shouldn"t. Or wish they didn"t. Genetic memories or memories from the PokeSoul that change their views." His voice was skeptic. "Haven"t they taught about this in Elite school yet?"

"Hahaha, haven"t been yet," Ash said rubbing the back of his head embarra.s.sed. "I was getting married and was dealing with personal things."

"How else do dungeons affect a person?" Brock asked. "I know there are is a time effect on some people bodies. Some reports say those with strong auras tend to disappear for months if not years at a time. Without a strong Pokemon to get you back or finding a gate, you could get lost for years."

"Those are true. But if you know how to work them, its a perfect way to train and find pokemon you cant usually find." Jacob said dully. "Some of the dungeons have so much killing in them you wish you never went into one. A lot of warriors have died from fighting too hard or too long. Going past their limits." Jacob started to become agitated when he remember Gray"s personality. "He will get himself killed with his att.i.tude."

"Jacob.. you have to calm down!" Said June. Her words came out with a little help from Chromas aura. "I know you care deeply about Gray. But this is not the right way to do things. He is not the person you think he is."

"Tch, we cant lose him. I cant lose him." Said Jacob under his breath. He then realized something terrible and wanted to throw up. "I ... I need to get away for a bit. PokeSoul!" With that a silhouette of an Articuno wrapped around him before he disappeared.

"Woah so pretty," June said. She was amazed at his skill and speed at which he changed.

"Sabrina he might be who Jacob thinks he is." Ori transmitted to her mentally. "I watched them as they trained the other day. Gray"s aura didnt react. But Jacob"s did."

"How can that be? What does that mean then?" Sabrina wanted to tell Jacob and Gray both but thought better of it. "Nothing good will come out of them knowing half of the information."

"I do not know. Well, I don"t know yet. It will be a while before I can figure it all out. I also dont have the power to spare for that kind of endeavor." Ori said. "I can work on it, but requires you working on it as well."

"Well, now what?" Ash asked. Interrupting the conversation he couldn"t hear.

"I will wait here for a few days," June said. Sabrina looked at her. "I sent him a message. When he is in range he will receive it. Doesn"t matter if he appears in Hoenn or Unova, he will receive it."

"I will wait till then," Sabrina said as she leaned back. Her Pokemon tried to console her to little effect. Her Fennekin started to pout and went to play on the Steelix. Espeon just remained near her side quietly.

"I will try to go find Jacob," Misty said wanting to not be here anymore.

Ash looked at Marion. "Want to train with me?" She agreed readily to that idea. The two then walked off leaving Brock, June, and Sabrina.

"Ah," June sighed remembering something. "The Growlithe of course." She said standing up. "That is why he became irritable. But he didnt react violently. So he was still in control. How could I be so silly? I need to write this down in my notes at once!" Just like that, her mood improved drastically.

"Wait. Stop!" Brock said. "What about the Growlithe?"

"Well.. he," June started to say before Chroma looked at her. Her eyes glowing dangerously.

"Are you sure you want to speak about something Gray told you in confidence or better yet, what you learned through a resonance." Chroma licked her paws and watched the woman with a single eye open. "You know things about him that he doesn"t remember or cares to remember. Heck, you have only scratch the surface a bit. How will you learn more if you cant use resonance with him again?"

"Sorry got to go." She said before running off to her room.

"Here you are, Jacob," Misty said coming up behind him. She was startled when he turned around. He had been crying. And not just a regular old cry either. One of those heart-wrenching ones. The kind that makes you curl up in bed with a good book and your favorite ice cream.

"What is it Misty?" Jacob wiped his tears and stared at her. His gaze was slightly chilling. "Well spit it out already Nothing gets solved if you keep it to yourself."

This bothered her a little bit. Besides Gray, he was the easiest person to talk with. Sabrina had trouble expressing herself but they got along. June was.. well just too different. They didn"t have anything in common except Pokemon and a little bit about fashion.

"I just came to check on you. How are you by the way?" Misty sat down right next to him despite the chilling aura. "It was just a little argument. Gray will be back."

"What if he doesn"t?" Jacob didnt think he would though. He couldn"t focus. "Ughh," He grabbed his chest in pain.

"Do you need some medicine?" Misty asked alarmed.

"No.. it"s nothing. Just overusing my aura." Jacob said with a strained smile. Despite saying that he continues to use it.

"Shouldn"t you stop?!" Misty asked when she felt his aura kick up a notch. Then she noticed his features more closely. His shirt was slightly unb.u.t.toned and she saw he had bandages. "Your injured let me help with that." She didnt wait for a response as she pulled his shirt down and tried to help fix the bandages. She stopped when she felt something soft. Moving her hand back like she touched fired. She stared at him.

"You are a pervert, Misty." Jacob said with a strained smile. He took a breath and exhaled causing a little bit of mist to come out.

"Are. are.. you a girl?!"

"No.. just different." Jacob unb.u.t.toned his shirt and showed her. The bandages fell away showing not just a pair of b.r.e.a.s.t.s but a flickering half symbol. Once he stopped using his aura it went away. "I am a hermaphrodite. So is my sister."

"I.. dont know what to say." Misty reached her hand out and touched his chest. "So soft.. just like a girl." As if realizing what she has done, Misty face turned red. "Sorry sorry!"

"It is fine. My sister use to do it all the time." Jacob took a deep breath and exhaled. A surge of gas came out green. "Ahh hate using Poison Aura."

"You have two?" Misty asked shocked again. She watched as his chest receded and he had that one of a male. "Ehhh your pretty cut." Closing her eyes she threw his shirt to him. "Think Gray is rubbing off on me. I can defintely enjoy the finer things in life. What am I thinking?!" Shaking the thoughts away she calmed down. "Put this back on!"

"Eh, ok. Why would you feel weird now? You just saw my chest a few minutes ago." Jacob said wanting to chuckle.

"This is just different. Just do it." Misty said embarra.s.sed. She peaked with one eye and seeing he didnt do it, she got up and tried to walk away.

"Ok, fine." Jacob put the shirt back on.

"Your hair changed colors. Its purple or.. I guess lavender." Misty said unsure.

"Yeah. Gray said my dad"s hair is this color."

"Gray knows your dad?"

"More like knows of him. He has seen him before but didnt talk to him. I showed him the locket of my parents and he showed me some visions of them with his physic powers. It was weird. It felt like he watched them through a screen." Jacob remembered the other day when he did it as a payment for helping him out. "It was nice of him. Especially since it gave him a headache."

"Jacob, why not tell Gray?" Misty felt it would be ok. So you wanted to encourage him."

"Tell him what? That I am trapped between different genders. That I can change genders. That I can"t stop thinking of him as someone else. I love that man and am starting to love the man he is now. Not a memory but him!" Jacob clenched his fist tightly. "I dint see a difference between them at first. They are overlapping. Every time I tried to keep them apart from my mind, it shifts. My aura rebel from me doing self-harm. The difference so far is that he is younger than the other Gray."

"I think he won"t mind really." Misty just believed that. "And considering how open Gray was about his feelings.. well s.e.xuality it might make them understand each other easier." Misty couldn"t wrap her head around any better than Jacob could. "You should tell him. He will be back in a few days. So it should be easy."

"Tell him what?" Sabrina asked. Ori and Espeon were floating next to her. "What are you two up to?"

"Well.. no. I just can"t. Not yet." Jacob stood up and pressed his hands outward. A gate opened up. It was a dungeon entrance. "I am going to go train. And catch a new Pokemon. I will see you two later hopefully."

"Wait! I want to come to. When Gray gets back I want to show him how strong I have become." Misty ran in after him.

Sabrina was left there confused. Returning back to her room she was surprised when in the early morning Ori teleported them to June"s room.
