"Yeo Ri-ah."Hearing that slimy voice, Yeo Ri hesitated for a while before turning around to face him.
"D-Dad."
"Yeo Ri-ah." Lee Do Joon took a step forward towards her. Yeo Ri unconsciously took a step back, but behind her was the sink. Once again, she was trapped.
The man smiled, not minding her reaction.
"Yeo Ri-ah," Lee Do Joon placed a hand on her shoulder, caressing her collarbone with his thumb. He leaned closer to her, whispering, "Dad is sorry about yesterday."
Yeo Ri flinched at his touch and tried to move away, but the hand on her shoulder kept her in place. She trembled and lowered her head, avoiding from looking at him.
"Sorry, I must"ve been pretty drunk. I should have been gentler, shouldn"t I? Right?" He grabbed her cheek gently and made her look at him. "I"ll remember it this time."
"W-what?" Yeo Ri"s whole body trembled as her blood ran cold. She had thought that the incident last time was a one-time thing, and thus had buried it inside her. No matter what he had done previously, Yeo Ri still thought of him as the father who had raised her and was prepared to forget about it. However, this encounter completely changed her mind.
His hand slipped under her shirt, groping her skin.
She tried to pull away, and in her fear, she zeroed in on the knife near the dish rack.
Before he could do any more harm, she immediately reached for the knife and pointed it at him. "N-no! Stop it! Don"t touch me!"
The knife nicked him and his eyes darkened. His mood was spoiled as he stared at the girl dangerously.
Yeo Ri"s limbs were trembling like leaves and her legs threatened to collapse under her, but she held on. Though she could not handle her own against him with her strength that wasn"t even enough to truss a chicken, having the knife in her hands gave her a slight bit of confidence.
"I see," he smirked wretchedly, angered yet amused. "Just wait until I get home later," he warned. He used his thumb to wipe away the blood that had trickled out of his wound. The anger was rolling off his skin and she could feel it. The man stared down at her, his face twisted into an awful and despicable look.
Treating as if she was prey, he lets her off, thinking that there was still plenty of chances left. He could take his time, he thought. For now, he needed to go to work. He"d deal with her when he returns later.
Yeo Ri found the opportunity to run away, so she immediately retreated to the safety of her room. The man watched her, his smirk not fading away as he licked his lips, his eyes burning with desire.
Yeo Ri locked the door and barricaded it with her body. She collapsed on the floor, breathing heavily. The tears she had been holding back finally spilled, and she could do nothing but curl up and sob.
She hugged the knife flat against her chest, holding on to it as if it was her anchor.
