The next day, Hyuk was finally released from solitary confinement."Stop creating so much trouble, f*ck!" The guard escorting Hyuk back to his cell complained.
"It"s not my fault everyone"s just dying to get killed," Hyuk retorted.
"Are you talking back now? Huh?" The guard jabbed the back of Hyuk"s knees with his baton.
Hyuk shot him a disgruntled glare, but did not do anything since he knew that even though the guard was not quite hostile towards him, it would only take a mere touch for him to have a reason to get sent to solitary confinement or get beaten up again. Despite Hyuk"s history of being sent to the closet-sized cell frequently, he did not actually enjoy those visits much.
"Aigoo, you f*cking troublemaker," the guard heaved an exasperated sigh. It had been a year since Hyuk came under his wing, so he was familiar with the boy. Although he was not so stupid to get along with a criminal, Hyuk was easy to talk to since he was just a little brat compared to the other inmates.
"Oh, by the way, don"t fight with your new cellmate too much," the guard casually reminded him as he fished out the key to Hyuk"s handcuffs. He unlocked the door to the cell and pushed the boy inside before unlocking his cuffs.
Hyuk rolled his eyes at the guard"s words, but as soon as his gaze landed inside the small room, he froze.
"—Ji Yeong Gi!" He roared. The anger that he had just kept down exploded at once.
"Ha. What are the odds?" Yeong Gi raised his eyes to glare at Hyuk.
As it turned out, they were placed in the same cell. It was as if it was fate for them to tear each other apart until only one of them remained.
"I"m gonna kill you!" Hyuk shouted, leaping over to Ji Yeong Gi. He didn"t even care that his handcuffs were not fully unlocked yet.
Ji Yeong Gi easily dodged Hyuk"s clumsy attack. There was not much room to fight in so the two were in a deadlock.
"Stop it, you f*ckers!" The guard said. He immediately entered the cell and held Hyuk back. "What happened to your promise of not going back to solitary confinement?! Do you want to disappoint your sister?!" The guard said.
Hyuk abruptly glanced at the guard and only said one sentence to him: "Stop reading my letters!"
"..." Was that the point here?!
Hyuk"s attention went back to his mortal enemy, "Ji Yeong Gi, I"ll f*cking tear your head off!"
Yeong Gi stood up calmly and looked at Hyuk. With his usual smile, he said, mockingly, "You think I"m scared of you? You killed someone, so you think you"re invincible? Face reality, Lee Hyuk. You"re nothing."
So what if Hyuk killed someone? It wasn"t like he was the only one around here who had done that. Ji Yeong Gi was confident that he could kill Hyuk if he tried—but that wasn"t what he wanted. He wanted to drive Hyuk to the point of no return; until there was no other choice but for him to die. And he knew exactly where to start...
His smile grew, the darkness concealed within him starting to spill out. "Just you wait, Lee Hyuk. I"ll destroy you."
The moment he took a step forward towards Hyuk, Lee Moon Deok tackled him down.
Lee Moon Deok had noticed a glint of something sharp peaking out of Ji Yeong Gi"s sleeve, and he did not hesitate to pin the boy down.
"He"s got a shiv!" the older man tattled.
The guard"s grip tightened on Hyuk. It seems like they had underestimated the degree of the enmity that existed between the two young men. "Hey, can I get backup here?!"
Efficiently, the prison guards separated the two.
The two was brought away, far from each other so that a b.l.o.o.d.y fight would not occur.
In the end, the warden made the decision to transfer Ji Yeong Gi to another cell block; far from Hyuk. Furthermore, the fact that Ji Yeong Gi managed to sneak in a weapon into the facility was more than enough reason for him to be sent to solitary confinement for several months. In any case, he only had to serve two years" worth of jail time so transferring him to another correctional facility was a waste of time and resources.
Not only that, to prevent further "accidents" from happening during the working period, Ji Yeong Gi was stationed on a different workplace.
