Angel Smile

Chapter 55

The weekend pa.s.sed by in a flash.

Both Hyuk and Yeo Ri were finally discharged from the hospital.

Although Hyuk was deemed fit enough to walk around by the doctor, it was still advisable for him to get plenty of bedrest and regular minor exercise. After scheduling for a checkup at a later date, the trio finally left the hospital, accompanied by Jin Goo and In Guk.

The doctor had also advised for Yeo Ri to take a day off on Monday, but she adamantly insisted on going to school.

It was because Monday was the beginning of the examination period.

Luckily, she had her books with her inside her bag. While she was in the hospital, Gun had tutored her for a short time, and she managed to get a little bit of studying done.

While getting high grades would be impossible, the amount of cramming she had done would be good enough for her to sc.r.a.pe by. At the very least, she could rely on her memory of the things that were taught during cla.s.s to answer the exams.

"Good luck," Gun says to his sister. He was planning to skip school considering that his exams were finished, but he still carried on with his duty of sending Yeo Ri to school.

However, because they had just departed from the hospital, Yeo Ri"s entourage increased from one to four people. Hyuk, Jin Goo, and In Guk also came along to send her off. Or rather, since they were using Jin Goo"s car, they stopped by Yeo Ri"s school to drop her off in pa.s.sing.

"I"ll be going now." Yeo Ri who sat in-between Hyuk and Gun gave them both a kiss on the cheek before getting out of the car. "Thank you, Jin Goo-oppa!" She bade them goodbye after getting out and thanking the driver.

Jin Goo didn"t move the car even after Yeo Ri left. Out of concern, the group of men stayed for a while longer until Yeo Ri reached the gate.

Just as Yeo Ri neared the gate, loud, male voices exploded in a chant. "Lee Cheonsa! Lee Cheonsa! Fighting, Lee Cheonsa!"

There were about seven or eight boys crowding next to the gate. They cheered loudly as Yeo Ri pa.s.sed by, creating noise pollution in the otherwise quiet area.

"Good luck with your exams, Lee Cheonsa!" One of them shouted, waving wildly.

Yeo Ri abruptly paused, then took a step away from them instinctively. She bowed awkwardly towards them in greeting, "Ah... yes... thank you... you too..." she mumbled, forcing a smile.

Yeo Ri looked as if she was ready to run away. She glanced around anxiously. The boys were being louder than usual and she was worried that other people might get angry. "E-excuse me, please keep it down and stop doing things like this," she begged.

"Ah, sorry," one of the boys apologised. However, it seemed like they didn"t understand what she wanted. Immediately, they lowered the tone of their voices and reduced the scale of their movements. In unified whispers, they cheered again, "Fighting, Lee Cheonsa...!"

"Ah... yes... t-thanks..." Yeo Ri bowed again. This kind of thing embarra.s.sed her and she wondered if the boys knew what they were doing. There were other pa.s.sers-by who had been looking at them strangely and she had an immediate desire to bury her head in a hole. Yeo Ri could practically hear the snickers of her schoolmates as she headed towards her cla.s.sroom.

Of course, she could have just told the boys off if she wanted.

Actually, she had once did that but the boys still kept doing what they were doing, albeit less fanatical than they were before. Before this, the boys even dared to follow her to her cla.s.sroom, but now, the most they did was greet her at the gates, which could be considered a small improvement.

Yeo Ri power-walked into the school grounds, keeping her head lowered. Her cheeks were burning with shame. It wasn"t like she was a celebrity! She wondered why they treated her like one.

While Yeo Ri was busy with embarra.s.sment, Hyuk and the rest was cursing up a storm.

"Hey, hey, hey! What the f*ck are they doing?!" Hyuk almost jumped out of his seat. "Sh*t, why are they bothering her so f*ckin" early in the morning?!"

"Is this what she has to deal with every morning?" In Guk gaped. This was his first time seeing Yeo Ri"s fanboys. The four men could hear the cheering even with the distance.

""Lee Cheonsa"?" Gun looked at the group of boys strangely. He didn"t know that Yeo Ri had such a nickname.

"Should I start up the car and run them over...?" Jin Goo mused.

"Hey, that"s a crime," In Guk immediately replied. "But a good idea..." After seeing the boys" excessive reaction towards Yeo Ri, he couldn"t help but consider the idea. He knew Yeo Ri was popular, but to see so many rivals in one place... he felt like beating them up for no rhyme or reason.

In Guk shook his head, snapping himself out of those dangerous thoughts. That was bad! He almost committed a crime in the name of love. If he ended up in prison, he couldn"t see Yeo Ri anymore...

"Those d*mn b*tches, I"m going to go and teach them a f*ckin" lesson!" Hyuk hotheadedly roared. He moved to open the door but Jin Goo reacted faster.

Jin Goo immediately locked the car and activated the child lock so that Hyuk wouldn"t do anything rash.

"Hey! Open the door!" Hyuk kicked the back of Jin Goo"s seat. "F*ckin" sh*t, open the G.o.dd*mn door!"

"Calm down, dumb*ss," Jin Goo says. He watched the crazed man through the rearview mirror. "They"re not worth getting angry over. And stop destroying my car, you f*cker," he warned with a frown.

"Like h.e.l.l!"

"Calm down, Hyung," Gun sighed. Hyuk was often brash and cold, but when it comes to Yeo Ri, he was even more impulsive than him. "Min Chae didn"t say anything about this, so I a.s.sume that the boys over there aren"t really causing any trouble other than being minor nuisances."

"What do you know?!" Hyuk growled.

Gun ignored his seething brother. He turned to Jin Goo, "Hyung, can you send me back to the house? I"ve got some things I need to do."

Jin Goo almost laughed at the way Gun dismissed Hyuk. He nodded towards the younger boy, "sure. Let"s go~"
