Rock Lee and Might Guy are the most under-rated characters ever. They both have one of the hardest training regimen known to man. It"s literally just (insert four, or more, digit number here) reps of (insert exercise here) and if you can"t do it, then (Insert even larger number here) reps of (Insert harder exercise here). Rinse and repeat that to infinity to get their training.I honestly don"t mind doing their style of training, it"s just very time consuming because of the number of reps you have to do. My version of Rock Lee training is slightly easier though. Just do an exercise until you cannot do it with proper form then move on to a new exercise and repeat. It helps that the system minimizes the amount of pain I feel from exercising. Not sure why it does this but I"m not going to ask.
After a few more hours of exercising, Zebro comes out of the cabin.
"h.e.l.lo, Drake, you"re still training? It"s been four hours since you came outside. Don"t you want to rest? It"s almost time for lunch. I will have something prepared in twenty minutes, so go take a shower and clean up." He"s kind of like an old grandpa taking care of his grandson. I feel bad for him, he lives here on this mountain with only Seaquant for company. I don"t think he has any family either. Maybe once chimera ant arc is over, I will visit him for a while. He could use the company.
"Sure thing, Zebro-sensei. I"ll come inside in a minute. I want to do a few more reps of one-armed push-ups first before going inside." I continued to do one-arm push-ups, alternating arms every ten push-ups.
After completing six more reps, I finally got up and went inside the cabin. I see Zebro cooking in the kitchen.
"Oh, Drake, you"re here. Go take a quick shower, lunch will be ready in a bit." I went upstairs after hearing that. I took a quick shower and got changed. I"m now wearing what I plan on being my consistent outfit. My outfit is comprised of gray running shoes, black workout pants, A white athletics tee, and a black jacket with a hood and thumbholes. I planned my outfit with my habits in mind. They are comfortable, stylish, and I can train or fight in them.
I honestly think that my outfit is perfect for my situation. I mean, look at Leorio, he wears a suit all the time. Kurapika wears his clan"s traditional clothes, and Gon wears the same outfit all the time. I don"t think anybody will comment on my outfit because of everyone else"s choice in attire.
Clothes aside, I think it"s time for lunch and I don"t want to keep Zebro waiting.

After eating lunch, Zebro told me to stop training for the next few hours. He says my body needs to rest and recover, but I think it doesn"t matter because I can"t feel any pain from training. That means I can train without worries, right? I"m actually not too sure now that I think about it... Okay, maybe Zebro is right. Maybe I should take a break for a while. I"m still wearing the weighted vest, so I"m still training my body just by moving. By the way, I got moved up from twenty kilograms to thirty kilograms in my weighted vest. The vest can hold up to a hundred kilograms though, so I still have a long way to go.
I wonder if I should bring up Nen to Zebro or Seaquant. I know that Zebro can use Nen and I know that Seaquant is a confirmed hunter, so both of them could teach me Nen. I just don"t know if it"s too soon into my training to ask about Nen. It probably is... I will wait until I can open the First or Second Gate before asking.

After waiting for a few hours as Zebro asked, I headed outside again. Not to train though, just to meditate. I think meditation, while limited, can help you focus your thoughts and a.s.sists in Nen as well. I figure that I should make meditation a habit from now on so I will be used to it later.
Honestly, the forest outside the cabin is really nice. I wonder what the property looks like inside the gate. If I don"t get to see it soon, I"ll probably just come here with Gon and the gang.
My training is supposed to take several months for me to be able to open the first gate by myself. I wonder how long it will take for me to be able to open the second or third Gate. It will probably take me the rest of the year before the Hunter Exam before I can open the Second Gate, though that"s probably pushing it. I will definitely be close though if I can"t open it.
I spent the next hour meditating and collecting my thoughts before Zebro told me it was time for my scheduled training with him. My training with Zebro was entirely weight-based. Everything he had me do involved large amounts of weights. Sometimes it would be staying in a position while holding a tray that held a stack of weighted cups, other times he would have me do regular weight lifting exercises. The weight used varied based on what he thought was my limit each time.
I can say with no doubt that I reach my limits each time. My body could barely keep up with the weight increases. It hurts far more than the countless reps I do in my regular exercises. The reason for this, in my opinion at least, is because many more muscles are tearing and rebuilding because of the strain the weight adds onto my body. I know that the System limits the pain to a tolerable extent, but it still hurts.
I don"t want to admit it, but I will definitely need the next few months to open the First Gate of the Testing Gate without help. I thought I could power up much faster like other Isekai and reincarnation protagonists, but I was wrong. The System wants me to live a full, fulfilled and successful life but most of all, it wants me to work hard for my goals. I don"t know why the System was programmed this way but I think it makes things far more interesting for everyone, especially me.
Well, I think I need something interesting in my life, so this is totally worth all the pain and dedication. There"s no time like the present, and every second lost is a second that you are more likely to die.
