Gin POV-Ravel and Wetho approached with a heavily armored guard. Ravel is wearing a tight purple robe with golden web patterns that have small spiders hidden within. Wetho is wearing a set of black armor that only covers key places while chainmail protects the rest. A long and wide greatsword covered in skull patterns that look to be in agony is being dragged behind her making the mages upset as they have to fix the circle.....
As they reach us Wetho flings the sword to Inival who just squeezed out of the carriage. She catches its handle and looks at it with a complex expression. Something between bewildered and excited.
"One of our best swords. Seems to love causing choas and destruction. Take care of it." Wetho
"Yes!" Inival
Inival seems to have forgotten about her encounter with Krychek ealier as her gaze is drawn further into the sword.... Weird.
"As for Gin.... Here." Wetho
She walks over a pa.s.ses a small box to me. It is finely decorated and has a good weight to it. I open it to see an orb. It"s about the size of a baseball but, is basically weightless. A screen pops up showing me its abilities

..... Holy s.h.i.t....
Just the increase in damage and resource reduction would make this an incredible item. It has a chance to inflict 200% more damage on top of the regular damage..... Not sure how likely that is though..... Then it has all these special effects..... These effects energize well with my stealth skills and perks.... I"m turning into some super mage a.s.sa.s.sin at this point.
Why does Wetho have this though? Why give it to me? I guess they probably have some weird biological loyalty to me or something.... Conversion is a weird process....Ravel gets rather close and starts explaining some of my doubts.
"This is an item we"ve had sitting in our treasury for a while. No one could contract it so it was pretty useless. After I was converted, I had a thought. Perhaps you could contract it. Thing is, I would not be able to bring it out despite being queen. So I decided to have Inival collect a sample from you to test it in secret. Didn"t wanta get your hopes up and fail, ya know? That was a problem in itself. You don"t seem to lose hair or skin. No excrement to collect either.... Had to make a deal with one of your broodmothers.... Anyways the contract went well so I could take it out on that basis. Should be useful, no?" Ravel
She explained it all at a extremely fast pace and before I could begin to digest any of it, both Ravel and Wetho started leading me to the giant tent. The inside is seperated into a few rooms. The biggest has a map dispalying the Union along with its borders with the other two countries. Little figurines stand at different points reminding me of my old world a little. Wetho takes the lead in explaining their plan.
She explains what each of the figurines represent. Slaves, soldiers, elites, n.o.ble forces, forces from the temples, etc. I notice a figurine of me along with some of my broodmothers. After watching Wetho move the figurines around with a stick for a while I get a general idea. They plan on messing with the Black Iron Pyre"s forces heavily as an elite force sneaks in to steal the artifact that I need, along with other things in their treasury. The n.o.bles seem to be an issue as well so they plan on using Drun and Farblight to deal with them. Then there is me.
The situation in the Union is unique. It is made of many different species who live in seperated cl.u.s.ters. However, cities also exist and they are where the different races come together. They are places where trade and recruitment of soldiers happen. I am to attack a couple cities with the spiderlings that have been rounded up from around the drow theocracy. The objective is not to kill citizens and capture cities but, to instill choas across the Union. The Union has existed for a long time. It is not simple to conquer their lands, otherwise, they would have been picked apart by the Drow Theocracy and the Black Iron Pyre long ago.
It seems that the overall scale of the war is not too large. It won"t end after the treasury is robbed but, the Drow Theocracy plans to take the backseat leaving the Black Iron Pyre to deal with everything. It doesn"t seem to have anything to do with me either. Although dwarves and drow are mortal enemies, they seem to have a cycle where they let the other side take the lead every other invasion. Of course conspiracies are not uncommon things here. In many past occasions, one side would try to take the spoils of war after the other did most of the grunt work.....

Five days pa.s.s quickly as we prepare as much as possible and plan out different things. I am not a confident person when it comes to things like this so I keep planning for the off-chance of s.h.i.t hitting the fan. Eventually we hear word that fallen dwarves are planning to attack a fortress. Mictiel Fortress. Wetho immediately sent out her number two and a number of elites to hara.s.s them. At the same time the best of the best when it comes to stealth plan to sneak into the unions capital. My turn.
I leave the camp and head off towards a medium city. It has a population of about 120,000. Mostly of smaller humanoid races. I have about 2,300 spiderlings.... It"s a good thing I"m not planning on conquering.... Although the military number is around 4000, most fit citizens can take up arms if need be. We made sure to leave in the middle of the day so that when we reached there it would be midnight. Being able to see in the dark is wonderful.
We gather 4-5 kilometers away from the city. Set is on high alert, Xelu is confused while Nemesis is.... Excited? huh. Anyways, we advance towards the city as stealthily as possible. Lights begin to grow as a low wall appears. Pale hairy guards are looking out into the darkness every now and then. They are most likely a species that has nightvision or darkvision since they are keeping a lookout. We stop before we get to close and get caught.....
The next step would be Xelu"s spiderlings. Creatures that can fly in the middle of the night are especially dangerous. I plan to have them pick up guards and drop them off the wall. After we get that done it would be time to transport Nemesis" spiderlings from underground. A good number of Kess" spiderlings are already working on that.... I only plan to kill until they can pull themselves together and rally. After that it is time to flee. If they come after us I can probably pick off a good number as well.....

We wipe out about 2 dozen guards off the wall before anything is noticed. A pale guard finally noticed that many of his comrades were missing so he rung an alarm bell. Many fires were lit up on the wall illuminating further distances. Soldiers flung to the walls as an enemy siege is expected.... Thing is.... It will be coming from underground. I hear shrill screams as I know the city has been infiltrated. I get to an area that overlooks the city.... Ma.s.sive spore clouds cover a fifth of it..... This is way larger then expected.... I get an influx of notifications for experience and the long awaited level up. Welp, It seems..... That I have really gone through it and have killed a bunch of innocents. Quite honestly, I feel nothing about that.
