Outside the Thunder Forest…The troops of dragon s.h.i.+fters were standing not far away from the broken seal of the Blue Area entrance, as they prepared for the battle. With their guns, they created a dragon symbol through the shots.
Some of them were soldiers from Long Jun"s unit, and most of them were just summoned by the King.
They were all ready to fight a horde of the ugly beasts that may get out of the Thunder Forest, in case, the mages who were summoned from the Wolf Country did not arrive on time.
If Long Jun had seen this right now, he would have been dumbfounded as he was not able to inform anyone regarding the situation, which was getting dire by every pa.s.sing minute, inside the Thunder Forest. Standing in front of the soldiers was a tall man which Long Jun and Long Cheng were very familiar with. He was their uncle, King Long Kael.
He was wearing a white fitted t-s.h.i.+rt, which clung tightly to his skin. His had his thumbs hooked into the pocket of his faded jeans that molded to his long, muscular legs.
His shoulder-length gold hair was neatly tied up behind his head, allowing everyone a clear look at his aristocratic nose, chiselled jaws and utterly flawless tan skin.
It was a known fact that he was old, almost ancient. With his pure dragon genes, his appearance could be in par to his nephews.
Long Kael"s very presence screamed power and authority. In the Dragon Country, he was like a golden G.o.d, that decided to walk on the mortal realm to look for something entertaining.
He was standing there looking at the repairing seal with great boredom. However, that did not decrease the dangerous vibe coming out from him.
"Any update on where the note came from?" he asked to no one in particular.
"Your Highness, we are still tracing the source. It is still baffling that it was found inside your room." The six-star general with dragon-shaped badges on his uniform answered.
He had been the one nearest to the man and despite his respectful answer and the indifference on the king"s face, there was no a.s.surance that anyone would be punished.
Why? Of course, because an intruder was able to break into the palace without anyone sensing it at all.
The intruder even managed to get inside the king"s room and made sure to leave no trace.
That alone was fit, impossible to do. So it would be understandable that the king would be mad.
Another interesting thing was the way the letters were crafted on the note. It looked like a love letter from a stalker with heavy and disturbing news of an accident.
The general opened the note again and tried to read between the lines. However, the more he read it, the more cringy it got.
Your Highness,
I accidentally called the beasts out of the Thunder Forest. Thankfully, you guys have set up special layers of seals in the area.
I am sincerely asking for forgiveness. To prove my sincerity, I am writing this letter to you to let you know about this accident.
Kindly help me take care of the problem by sending over your soldiers.
This is also to make sure that the beasts will be stopped or delayed in case they should make it out of the Blue Area and injure any of your citizens while I am trying to reverse the summon spell.
Again, I apologize from the bottom of my heart.
Rest a.s.sured, I will compensate- sooner or later.
Cheers,
Neighbour.
P.S. The tattoo on your back looks amazing… and sick. You chose the design well!
The general"s face was already dark with anger after reading the letter. He could not accept the fact that the intruder could write such a shameful and disrespectful message.
Aside from that, no one could casually say that the beasts on the Thunder Forest were summoned by accident. That was unheard of!
"Your Highness, we need to look for the person who wrote this." The general said, his voice laced with anger.
The dragon king remained silent before curiously looking at the paper the general was holding.
His lips twitched in annoyance. "Give it back," Kael said with authority.
With that, the general returned the note.
Long Kael did not know whether he should be angry or laugh so he kept his face neutral and decided instead to be logical and a.n.a.lyze the note until he found some clues.
"I am trying to reverse the summon spell…" Kael reread that part multiple times. It was also the sentence that made him go to the Thunder Forest personally.
A being that could cast a spell that could summon all the beasts inside the Thunder Forest must be captured at all costs.
The only way that they would be sure of it was to know that, whoever the person was, he or she would not be far from the forest.
"Neighbour, huh? Let us see how far you can go." Long Kael thought with an evil glint in his eyes.
***
Long Kael was correct. That was because inside that Thunder Forest was a female, not far from the entrance.
"Senior sister, why are you still not picking up?!" Mo Rin complained silently. She had been trying to contact Lu Meili since earlier but was getting no response.
Mo Rin was using a stealth talisman to hide her presence as she carefully moved closer to the seal and help increase the repair. There should be no issue if the self-repair of the seal was delayed.
However, her stupidity and uncontrolled powers had pushed a lot of people in a dangerous situation.
Mo Rin knew that she needed to take responsibility. She could not keep on depending on her martial sisters to fix her mistakes.
