"Please sit down," the dragon s.h.i.+fter said to Lu Meili as she entered the bare room that only had two chairs and a table, before leaving her alone and shutting the heavy metal door.

"Like the low-quality metal will stop me." Lu Meili thought to herself with a smirk. Yes, she could not use her magic, but that did not mean she could not use external help.

The place looked like an interrogation room. It did not have a window to look outside nor a full gla.s.s window that would let the people from the other side see or hear anything within the room.

Lu Meili sat on one of the chairs comfortably despite the magical chains that were tying up both of her hands as she waited for the dragon king and her mate who seemed to be having a small discussion outside the room.

She was taken there due to her last comment with Prisoner 177. After she recommended him to be the first one to be experimented on the entire prison level snapped and chaos was lurking on the surface, making it impossible to continue to talk peacefully.

It was fun to rile up the prisoners. However, the dragon king seemed to be not fond of the commotion and could not punish further the prisoners for some reason.

Because of that, the dragon king decided to transfer her to another room to discuss something.

Lu Meili would have preferred if he had transferred her to another level as well to make her life peaceful. After all, there was a high chance that she would be blamed for their no food punishment as well as her trying to persuade the dragon king with the new technology.

"I wanted to see how that works, but Prisoner 177 is the leader, and he did not look cooperative at all. But there is more to the story than that." Lu Meili realized, but she did not care.

Though it was making her question  why Prisoner 177 did not try to rile up the elders when they visited her but choose to bother the royalties.

However, that was a concern for later. Right now, Lu Meili was more interested in what the king has to discuss with her.

Bang!

Lu Meili was suddenly startled because of the banging sound from the outside, making her stand up from the chair and get closer to the door.

"Use your brain!" Lu Meili heard Long Kael roar from the outside. It seemed the discussion had turned into an argument and her mate was the one who was hurt because of it.

Lu Meili narrowed her eyes on the door, in deliberation to continue listening or go back to her seat.

Bang!

It was from another sound coming from something hitting the metal door. She was aware that Long Cheng might have a b.l.o.o.d.y nose that would not kill him. However, what could be the reason for the king to hurt his nephew.

"But uncle-"

"Stay here!" Long Kael commanded, and after that, the metal door started cracking, indicating that it will open soon.

Knowing this, Lu Meili immediately went back to her seat and waited. She was looking at the door with narrowed eyes, clearly showing how unhappy she was.

It did not take long for Long Kael to step inside the room and had the door closed behind him.

Before it closed entirely though, they heard Long Cheng yelling for him to enter, but he was not able to as the dragon king kicked the metal door shut.

"You hurt my mate." Lu Meili said unhappily.

"He can be annoying sometimes." He replied dismissively as he made his way towards the other vacant chair in the room. Long Kael made himself comfortable and sat as if he did not have any care in the world.

Lu Meili smirked before asking, "Are you sure I cannot hurt you here?"

Long Kael lifted his chin, challengingly, "You are always welcome to try, I do not mind." He stated, voice laced with confidence.

For him, even if Lu Meili was a mage, it was still not enough to be on guard or be cautious around her.

He was here to offer favourable options for both parties with hopes that the woman would be cooperative this time.

Bang!

Instead of replying, Lu Meili suddenly kicked the table upwards towards Long Kael. It would have hit his face if he did not manage to destroy the table with his leg sending it in Lu Meili"s direction.

It was a comfortable fit, and he seems to be expecting  it as he did not even stand up from his chair.

The ruins of the wooden chair were fast approaching, but Lu Meili swiftly jumped to the side to avoid it.

Cras.h.!.+

It hit the wall behind her original position. At the same, someone started pounding the metal door from the outside.

Pang!

Pang!

"Uncle open this d.a.m.n door! What are you doing to my mate?! Let me in!" Long Cheng demanded from the other side.

"Silence!" His command immediately removed the noise inside the room. The room was laced with magic that only works by Long Kael"s voice.

Because of that, even Lu Meili"s voice would not be heard when she opened her mouth to speak. It would have been easy to break it, but that also meant she would expose herself.

"You were saying something? You can speak." Long Kael waved his hand as he said that.

"I do not like you." Lu Meili hissed bluntly before walking towards her chair, removing the wood crumbles on the seat using her feet before she sat on it.

"Where is she? I want to be transferred near her cell," she asked suddenly.

Long Kael was smirking before this but the smile on his face vanished immediately. "She? You thought I had her placed in a prison cell?" He asked with voiced laced with warning. Yes, he was feeling offended, and Lu Meili looking for his mate meant they knew each other.

"Then where is she? What did you do to her?" Lu Meili demanded. She was concerned, and it was written all over her face. "This dragon must not try anything on Mo Rin!"

It was known that the dragon king had a harem and if the dragon king planned to include Mo Rin into, no one  would agree to it. If necessary, they would help Mo Rin escape.

"She is fine." He swiftly lied before continuing, "Aren"t you supposed to be worried about yourself and not someone else?" Long Kael asked with a dark unhappy expression on his face.

"I can take care of myself. I am asking you about where she is? I want to see her." Lu Meili demanded. She was getting a bad feeling about the way the dragon king had reacted to her question earlier.

Long Kael smiled evilly, "You seem to care about her a lot. I can let you see her on  one condition."

"Condition? What condition?" Lu Meili asked in confusion. "Why is this s.h.i.+fter acting this way?" She silently asked herself while glaring at the dragon king.

"You will have a mating ceremony with your mate as soon as possible." Long Kael offered through clenched teeth.
