Battered Young Miss

Chapter 83

After the ambulance dropped off the people it picked up from HuaQu hospital to the Zhang villa amidst the police cars. Both doctor and nurse were shown to a separate room where change of clothing and food was provided to them. Inside their room, both placed a call to the hospital"s HR office asking for a leave to attend to "family matters", despite the sudden notification, they had their request approved as a first time occurrence.

At the back entrance of the hospital the "body" belonging to the heiress of Zhang Corporation was transferred from the bed to the stretcher that was in the ambulance. Yang Lin asked the paramedic and nurse to have it taken back upstairs, while he and doctor w.a.n.g waited for the two to return. A few minutes after, they both returned and journey to the Zhang villa began.

About five minutes from the Zhang villa, Yang Lin placed a call to the head butler to have the staff sent to their quarters, leaving just a few maid which he called out the names to the other man, also telling him to stay until he was dismissed. Other areas pertaining to arrival at the Zhang villa and guests that were coming was mentioned during the conversation.

The paramedic did not voice out a single question while Yang Lin sat at the pa.s.senger seat with his friend, scrub nurse and the "body" of the heiress at the back of the ambulance. Even after everyone got out, the man casting a quick look at his friend to communicate with his eyes that they will talk about it later.

"Call me, okay?"

The paramedic gestured to Doctor w.a.n.g, who replied in the same version.

"Okay"

The stretcher was wheeled to a room downstairs rather than the heiress"s room above the flight of stairs, Yang Lin and the paramedic did the transfer from the stretcher to bed, before the medic left with the butler showing him the door, while taking the stretcher back to the ambulance to return to his post at the hospital.

Yang Lin hadn"t had a wink of sleep, it was beginning to get dark outside. Carefully handpicking five of the maids he had observed over time to be hardworking and tight lipped, he brought them to the room with a water proof bed and pillow where the Zhang heiress was placed, he stepped out to give them some privacy.

The women all older than the Zhang heiress by almost fifteen years, began taking off her soiled hospital gown, beginning from her hair, wetting a towel to wash the sticky tendrils from blood and sweat, before going on to her face, neck, arms, b.r.e.a.s.t.s, chest, back, abdomen, privates and legs. It involved a lot of turning, mix of soap and water and towels. By the time they were done the tall dark plastic bin where the soiled towels was kept became full to the brim, not only was it filled with towels but the hospital gown and wet bedding comprising of bedsheets and pillow case.

Carefully all five maids changed the bedsheets from under the Zhang heiress and pillow case to a new one in the room. Wiping thoroughly the body again with a fresh set of water and soap mix, before drying her body with a clean towel and changing the bedding again for one last time. While, the women were taking care of the Zhang heiress, Yang Lin had gone into the closet of the room belonging to the heiress where she kept newly purchased items that were never opened, to get a white translucent long sleeved flowing gown which had silverish glittery stones on them, grabbing a pair of white pointed toe heels, a pair of white feather earrings, an hair brush, light yellow cologne bottle, undies and a box of makeup kit with nail filer.

He ran downstairs holding them close but not too close to his body, taking up the spot outside the room where he was previously standing. Right there he placed a call to LiangKo Funeral home asking to speak to the director, when the call was finally picked up by Director Ko, he specifically asked that the man have a gla.s.s coffin, wreath arrangements of white. Giving the specifications and expressly letting him know that he was not to say a word to anyone.

"When do you want the casket to be delivered?"

The neutral voice of Director Ko came across the line.

"This night, be as discreet as possible."

Yang Lin"s voice was a firm reminder to the man to not breathe a word to anyone.

LiangKo funeral home was a business that handled wealthy clients, whose reputation was based off years of knowing what the rich wanted in terms of burial. Knowing that it was the Zhang family he was serving this time around made the other man"s brain picture the type of setting that would suit the family of the deceased heiress. Call it fate, but since the moment he had begun watching the news of the Zhang family "drama" his instinct told him that the young woman wouldn"t live for long. Director Ko did not tell Yang Lin that he already had a casket in mind that will fit the "image" of the deceased heiress. Learning from experience never to share such "creepy" talent to his client, in the past he almost lost business because of it. The conversation between the two men came to an end.

It took a little over half an hour, as one of the woman peeked out to ask what the Zhang heiress would be wearing. Yang Lin handed the things he got from the heiress"s room to the maid, who took them and closed the door firmly behind her.

One maid combed the hair of the heiress and place a earring on both ears, while the remaining got her dressed, finger with toe nails filed and placed her shoe on each foot. Lastly doing her makeup and applying cologne on her.

All five maids looked at their mistress for one last time, giving a deep bow of final respect, before taking out the bin and other items in the room that were no longer needed.

Zhang Mi, heiress of Zhang Corporation continued to drift in a world where no light s.h.i.+ned through, she could hear what was going on, but could not lift any part of her body even if she wanted to.

"Am I dead?! No that can"t be, I heard Yang Lin"s and Uncle"s voice before. What is happening to me? Why can"t I see?"

The beautifully dressed heiress to others appeared as one dead except for a few who knew otherwise.
