"An elf?" Ben was shocked. He had read about them in books and seen them portrayed in movies but seeing them in real life was something else.
For one, the movies didn"t do them justice. Though she was covered in filth and dressed in rags, Ben knew she was an absolute beauty.
Her ice blue eyes alone made Ben stunned for a split second.
The three men smiled when they saw her trip, but scowled when they saw Ben and readied their weapons.
The leader of the group took a step forward, "We are only here for the invader. We aren"t looking for trouble." Tattoos covered most of this man"s body, even on his face.
"Invader? Oh from the system"s message." Ben deduced.
Looking at the elf again, she seemed pitiful. Her knees were bleeding and her arms were covered in bruises. She looked at the three men with hate.
A sense of protection rose from within Ben.
"Push it down Ben. Don"t cause unnecessary trouble just for a pretty girl. These men are from the city and probably have some power people backing them up." tried to use his common sense.
"Just kill him Ed, and lets screw this girl." the shorter one snarled, holding a menacing looking axe.
"Ahhhhh f.u.c.k it. Let"s be a hero."
Bennett darted towards the leader of the three, stabbing his Katana towards the man"s neck.
Startled with Ben"s sudden attack, Ed raised his saber hastily, blocking Ben"s attack. Unable to deal with the force of Ben"s attack, the man fell on his a.s.s. Seeing this Ben quickly stabbed again with his Ninjato, piercing the man"s throat.
Ben pulled the sword free, a trail of blood squirted from his throat.
Seeing this, one of the men turned around and took off in the other direction. The other was either brave or stupid and charged at Ben with his axe above his head.
Sidestepping the attack, Ben stabbed him in the throat. The man sputtered some blood before collapsing.
*Ding!*
"Level up? Nice."
Looking towards where the man escaped, Ben let out a sigh. He knew this might bring him trouble later on.
"Oh well. Mom would have killed kicked my a.s.s if I hadn"t helped this girl, same with dad." Ben expression grew sad, he missed his family.
"What do you want from me?" an delicate but angry voice rang out, interrupting his thoughts.
Ben looked towards the girl in confusion. She was standing up, staring at Ben with murderous eyes.
"What the h.e.l.l? I saved you and now you hate me?"
Not knowing what to say, "Umm, I don"t want anything. Just trying to be a good guy, you know?" Ben scratched the back of his head in embarra.s.sment. Even he could hear how stupid he sounded.
The elf scoffed, "A good guy? I have yet to meet such a thing."
"You know for a beauty you sure have an ugly personality. Should I call those guys back? I"m sure it will save me some trouble later on." Ben shot back, annoyed at this girls att.i.tude.
The young elf paled, "No it"s fine. I apologize." she lowered her head in defeat.
"Good," Ben pulled a shirt and a pair of shorts from his backpack, throwing them towards the elf, "there is a creek just down there. Go bathe and change. Once you are down meet me there." Ben pointed at the cave on the hill before turning around and walking off.
The young elf stood there stunned. He had given her clothes and just walked away, not trying anything with her.
"Why do I have to bath?" she yelled to Ben"s retreating figure.
No bothering to turn around, Ben replied in a loud voice, "Because you stink!"
The elf mouth was fell open, "b.a.s.t.a.r.d!" she yelled before storming off towards the creek.
A slight smile appeared on Ben"s face, "Looks like she has somewhat of an interesting personality."
Ben was starting to get a little hungry so he found a 3 Horned Lizard and brought it back to the cave. Starting a fire, he started to cook the lizard before hearing someone entering the cave.
Turning towards the mouth of the cave, Ben saw arguably the most beautiful sight he had ever seen.
This was a completely different person compared to the filthy, dirt covered girl from before. She had pure white hair that reminded him of fresh snow. Her skin was white with a slight red blush on her cheeks that gave her an innocent look. The baggy shirt and shorts only added to her charm, making Ben blank out for a bit.
Her eyes are what really entrapped Ben, ice blue, they seemed to pierce his very soul.
Giving a light cough, Ben looked away, hiding the blush that had creeped up on his cheeks.
"Umm… you hungry?" he asked, pointing at the lizard roasting above the fire.
She nodded slightly before sitting near the fire.
"I"m Cloey." she said in a small voice.
Ben looked at her again and saw her status.

"Nice to meet you Cloey, I"m Ben." he answered.
"A snow elf? Wonder what that means."
She gave a small nod and continued to stare at the fire.
They sat in silence as the lizard was cooking, the sound of far hitting the fire filled the cave.
Ben wanted to ask her many questions but refrained from doing so. He knew she would be more willing to talk after she ate.
Ripping off a leg, Ben handed it to her. She took the leg timidly but once she took a little nipple, she took huge bites and finished the entire leg in no time.
"Would you like some more?" he asked, offering another leg.
Giving a slight nod, she reached for the leg and started to devour it as well.
It took her three legs before she seemed full. After she finished eating, she stared at Ben.
"What?" Ben asked, a little shy from her gaze.
"Why did you save me? What do you want from me? Who are you?" she shot off a load of questions in a single breath.
"Easy easy. To be honest I didn"t want to save you in the beginning. It will just invite trouble but I couldn"t ignore you, especially what those men wanted to do to you. As to what I want? Nothing really. You can do whatever you want. You can leave right now and I won"t stop you. I"ve already told you who I am, Bennett is my name but you can call me Ben." he explained.
Cloey went quiet as she trying to understand his answer.
"Anything else?" Ben prompted.
"Ah yes, can I have some more to eat?"
"I"m going to have to start hunting more just to feed us!" Ben let out a sign in his heart.
