Chapter 49
CHAPTER 49Dared to Play this Princess!
Xiao Chen slowly opened his eyes and Jing Yue could see clearly that there was some kind of dim exhaustion inside those eyes. His clear, cold eyes were bluntly watching her; the faint ripples inside them seemed to be mixed with some sort of quiet, hidden feeling which suddenly made Jing Yue held her breath.
After staring quietly at Jing Yue for a long time, Xiao Chen slowly bent his body; his cold lips fell softly on Jing Yue’s small face while his faint breath was sprayed upon her face. Jing Yue’s eyes instantly went wide and her body became even more rigid.
“Sleep.” Xiao Chen raised his hand to hold Jing Yue’s head. With a wave of his hand, he had put all the candles out and lowered the curtains around the bed. Jing Yue, who was hugged by Xiao Chen, could hear both his heartbeats and breathing clearly. She was also able to feel the faint thread of masculine air that came from his body.
On that cold night, the two persons that slept holding each other showed a different kind of harmony. Jing Yue hung her head down; in the middle of the night, her eyes were still opened while her heart was beating somewhat quickly without any reason. When she thought about the light kiss before, her cheeks suddenly went red.
What did that kiss mean?
What did Xiao Chen’s gaze a moment a go mean?
Jing Yue suddenly found that she absolutely couldn’t see through the man sleeping beside her.
Jing Yue slowly fell asleep after a long time imagining all sorts of thing. It was already dawn by the time Jing Yue woke up; once she opened her eyes, she already saw Xiao Chen on the bedside putting his robes on. Having heard Jing Yue’s movement, Xiao Chen turned his head slightly towards her.
“Xing Yi will send you to the school later. I have something to do today so I’ll be back late.” Xiao Chen tidied his collar up and s.h.i.+fted his eyes to throw Jing Yue an unsympathetic glance before leaving in large steps without waiting for her response. Only after Xiao Chen’s silhouette had disappeared that Jing Yue muddleheadedly turned her body over.
A thread of peculiar feeling flashed in her heart.
In just one night, the Xiao Chen last night already turned back into this once they woke up.

When Jing Yue arrived at the school, it was already bustling with noise and the people inside had gathered into one group. Jing Yue already found something weird once she stepped into the school; actually none of those people came to speak to her, everyone were standing at the sides pointing at her.
“It’s her, the one who Ninth Huang Shu threw out of the carriage yesterday.”
“Does she really think she is going to be Huang Fei? That day she was already thrown away by Ninth Huang Shu.”
“Exactly! She even dared to put Huang Fei’s ident.i.ty to deceive Princess ZiLing! I’d like to see how she’d explain to Princess ZiLing.”
“Honestly, she is only a wild girl that climbed over Ninth Huang Shu’s status; if there is no Ninth Huang Shu to support her, she would not fit even to carry Princess ZiLing’s shoes.”
“Right! A wild girl who shouldn’t have been allowed in public actually dared to be so arrogant…….”
Jing Yue’s face suddenly went black once those words came into her ears; this Jing Yan really did spread yesterday’s matter out! Not only she spread it out, she still did it with so much publicity. Jing Yue’s expression went cold; she proceeded to walk forward without glancing anywhere.
“You give me stop!” Just as Jing Yue was about to walk into the room, a furious shout came from behind. She sneered and turned her body around to look.
Jing Yue raised her head and smiled to look at Princess ZiLing whose whole body was in a red dress. She opened her mouth and said: “Did Princess ZiLing call me?”
“Jing Yue, you have such a big courage! You actually dared to play this princess!” Seething with anger, ZiLing stood in front of Jing Yue and glared furiously at her; following behind her were crowds of people who wanted to watch the lively scene, as well as Jing Yan who already wore a smile on her face and lowered her eyes so that people couldn’t see the emotion in her eyes.
