Boruto was sweating profusely thinking about where he would be living.

("Where"s my house?")

("Who will cook the food?")

("Where will I get my money from…") Boruto paused his thoughts following which he checked into his pockets.

("NOOOOOO!!!!!")

("THERE"S NO GAME IN THIS WORLD!!!") Boruto was screaming internally as he tried to pull his hair out.

"What"s wrong?" Old man Teuchi asked.

"N-Nothing…" Boruto quickly bent down to chew on some ramen.

Meanwhile, Old man Teuchi stared at Naruto for a few seconds.

("What"s wrong with him today…") Old man Teuchi thought.

Soon, Boruto was done with his ramen.

"How much old man?" Boruto asked as he reached into his purse.

Teuchi felt Naruto was getting stranger by the minute seeing that Naruto did not even remember the prices of the ramen in his shop.

"Are you all right Naruto?" Old man Teuchi asked.

"Why do you ask? old man" Boruto looked at Teuchi.

"Well, you always remember how much you have to pay without asking me," Teuchi said slowly.

"Sorry, I"ve got a lot going on my mind right now," Boruto gave an awkward smile.

"I see…"

"Well, that"ll be 60 Ryo," Teuchi said.

("60 Ryo, that"s super cheap,") Boruto thought as he took out the cash.

"Thanks, Old Man," Boruto said as he left the place.

"Sure is getting tough for ninjas these days…" Teuchi sighed as he headed back in.

("What do I do…") Boruto sighed as he walked across the street.

He looked around, trying to make out where he was going.

("That"s the Hokage mountain faces…") Boruto thought as he looked at the four faces on the mountain.

("Wait a minute!")

("Is grandfather alive?") Boruto thought as he stared at Minato"s face.

("Nah!")

("Dad said he was alone ever since he was born, so that means the third is the current Hokage,") Boruto concluded.

("But, where the h.e.l.l is my house?") Boruto screamed internally as he continued to walk down the street.

Soon Boruto arrived in front of the academy.

"What do I do…" Boruto murmured as he looked around.

His eyes soon caught sight of a person scolding his son by the swing in front of the academy.

("Looks like I can do something all right,") Boruto smirked.

(knock!)

(knock!)

(knock!)

"Come in!" Iruka called out from his desk at the staff room.

"Iruksensei,"

"Someone is here to see you," A man wearing gla.s.ses at the door said.

"Someone?" Iruka was puzzled; however, he stepped out.

Soon, he walked outside of the academy to see an old man waiting for him.

"Good afternoon," The old man greeted Iruka.

"Good Afternoon,"

"Erm,"

"You wanted to see me?" Iruka asked.

"Yes,"

"Are you perhaps the teacher of that brat named Naruto?" The old man asked.

"Yes, I"m his homeroom teacher," Iruka replied.

"I see…"

"The thing is, I am a shopkeeper of vases and flowerpots,"

"And your student Naruto happened to break quite a few of them," The old man complained in a grumpy manner.

"That Naruto…"

"I apologize in his stead," Iruka said as he bowed down.

"Ah, you don"t have to,"

"I just want to know where he lives,"

"I"ll go over and personally collect the money for the damage from him," The old man said.

"Please Sir, He"s just a child,"

"Just tell me how much it is," Iruka said as he reached out for his purse in his pockets.

("Wow, I"m kinda low on money,")

("Should I take from him?") The old man thought but then suddenly dismissed the thought seeing Iruka was very sincere.

"You are a teacher,"

"You must let your students learn about responsibility all by themselves,"

"If you keep shielding them like this, I"m afraid…" The old man was about to continue but stopped after seeing Iruka push some money into his hand.

"Kids must enjoy life while they can,"

"It is my duty as his teacher to teach him responsibility," Iruka said.

The old man shook his head and gave back the money.

"Don"t worry sensei,"

"I won"t be too hard on the boy,"

"In fact, I will let him off this once,"

"But I must give him a lecture," The old man insisted.

"I see…" Iruka sighed.

"I"ll just accompany you to his place then…" Iruka said.

("No, no, no, no, this was not how it was supposed to go…") The old man screamed internally.

"Just give me a few seconds," Iruka said as he headed back.

("I"m soo dead,") The old man murmured internally.

Obviously, the old man was Boruto who had transformed.

Picking on the fact that his dad used to be quite the mischief back in the old days, Boruto came up with the plan to get the address. However, he did not expect it would fire back this badly.

"As expected of the person who stepped as my grandfather for the marriage ceremony,"

"He really does care about my dad," Boruto thought aloud.

< shadow-clone="" jutsu!="">

(Poof!)

About twenty Naruto appeared.

("Wow, I just noticed my dad has a great amount of chakra,")

("Must be almost Hundred times my reserves,") Boruto stared at his clones.

(Poof!)

About nineteen clones dispelled, leaving behind only one clone.

Boruto undid his transformation and had the clone take his role as the old man.

Whoosh!

The original Boruto jumped into a shady spot to hide.

Soon, Iruka walked out of the academy building.

"Please follow me," Iruka said to the old man.

"Sure…" The old man nodded as he walked away with Iruka, while the original Naruto(Boruto) tagged along from behind.

Sounds of the duo"s footsteps echoed as they walked through the Village"s streets.

Iruka looked at the old man.

"So, you own a shop that sells vases and flower pots, huh?" Iruka asked.

"Yeah,"

"So where is this shop of yours?" Iruka asked.

"Well, It"s on the same street where Ichiraku Ramen is dattebasa," The old man replied casually.

"Oh,"

"That"s why Naruto was involved,"

"Well, he does visit that place often," Iruka laughed.

"Hehe," The old man laughed awkwardly.

"Um, do you know where I can get a map of the village?" The old man asked.

"A map?" Iruka asked.

"Yeah,"

"Got a granddaughter back in my town wanting to visit this place where I run the shop,"

"So I thought I"d send over a map," The old man said.

"I see," Iruka nodded.

"Well, It"s a good thing you said it now" Iruka said as he pointed towards a store using his hand.

"You don"t say,"

"It"s a map store," The Old Man cried out in joy.

"…" Iruka smiled at the old man.

"Thank you for visiting us," The woman outside the door bowed as Iruka, and the old man walked away.

("Darn it,")

("I guess I am lucky to take the purse from the original me, but I am down by 50 Ryo which makes the total in my purse 90 Ryo,") Boruto calculated.

Soon the duo arrived by an old building.

"That"s his house," Iruka said as he pointed to the top of the building.

"Good," Boruto who was on top of a nearby compound wall commented, following which Boruto quickly circled to the backside of the building and promptly jumped over.

("Keys,") Boruto swept his pockets to take out a small bunch of keys.

("d.a.m.n, there are five keys…") Boruto was perplexed.

Meanwhile, the old man went ahead of Iruka and started to climb the stairs.

Upon climbing, the old man spotted Boruto trying out the keys.

The original signaled that he needed more time, while Iruka was two steps behind the old man.

"OWW, My back!" The old man shouted as he suddenly kneeled down.

"Are you all right?" Iruka asked in concern as he quickly appeared by the old man"s side.

Click!

("It"s unlocked,") Boruto was overjoyed.

The old man who was kneeling down in pain quickly sneaked a glance at the original entering the house.

("SAFE!") The old man was overjoyed as well following which he stood up slowly.

"I"m fine…" The old man said.

"Whew," Iruka cleaned his sweat.

(Knock!)

(Knock!)

(Knock!)

Sound of m.u.f.fled footsteps echoed followed by the door opening to reveal Naruto from inside.

"NARUTO!" Iruka called out in anger.

"eh?" Boruto fell down on his b.u.t.t.

"Did you break some things when you came out of Ichiraku Ramen?" Iruka asked in anger.

"What are you talking about Iruka sensei?" Boruto asked.

"Sensei," The Old man called out from behind.

"You," Boruto who was on the floor, pointed towards the Old Man.

"APOLOGIZE, YOU IDIOT!" Iruka shouted as he forced Boruto, who was on the floor to bow.

"I"ll take things from here," The old man said.

"I see…" Iruka nodded following which Iruka left.

The old man then looked at Boruto as though he was about to lash out.

Boruto sighed in relief as he examined the corridor outside Naruto"s door.

("Looks like Iruksensei left…") Boruto thought as he stepped back into the house.

Inside, The house was clearly a mess with clothes and polythene bags lying here and there, with some opened up and finished Instant cup ramens all over the floor.

("Dad sure leaves a mess when he is alone,") Boruto sighed as he walked into the house.

Haaa….

Boruto let out a deep breath of air as he stared at the mess which he was in the middle of.

He then thought back to everything that happened from earlier in the day till his current situation.

"Everything is so real…" Boruto thought as he started to pack things into a trash bag.

Soon he was done cleaning the floor but sighed again as he looked at the kitchen works.p.a.ce, the dining, and the bed.

("It"ll be dangerous to reveal to anyone that I am not my dad,")

("I have to think of the people he interacts with as well, especially my response towards them") Boruto thought back to the time he saw Hinata.

("Wait a minute,")

("Does that mean I have to start avoiding my mom?") Boruto felt a lot of pressure on his head.

("Calm down,")

("Calm down,") Boruto said as he regained his breath.

("The best thing to do is to adapt to everything and quickly understand my dad,")

("It is only through that, I will be able to leave…")

Boruto had his thought process interrupted by the sentence he tried hard to remember.

("The fortuneteller told me that in order to understand my dad, I should live through what he lived,")

("It doesn"t necessarily specify I should become the Hokage,")

("But I should just live his life until I am able to understand him completely,") Boruto concluded, following which he looked at the dining table area.

("Time to clean up the remaining places,") Boruto thought as he headed towards the table with a cleaning cloth and a garbage bag.

About an hour later things were finally settled.

"Whew," Boruto wiped sweat from his forehead as he stared at the cleaned up s.p.a.ce he had.

(Knock!)

(Knock!)

(Knock!)

("Who is it now…") Boruto thought as he looked towards the door.

Clank!

Boruto opened the door to see a person of almost similar height, staring at him.

Boruto"s eyes wandered around the outfit, especially the top part which his father always wore.

"Sandaime," Boruto murmured as he stared at a person whom he knew dead, in the flesh.

"It"s been a while, Naruto," Hiruzen said as he stared at Boruto whom he saw as Naruto.
