"So young man your name is Raven and you young girl already told us your name, Elisa" the old man petted young Elisas head with a gentle smile."I showed you the Village, I have to remind you to keep this village location a secret." said elder Eldrick drinking leisurely a tea made of herbs.
"Why?" asked the innocent elisa, she didn"t understand why such a good place, had to be kept a secret.
"Young lady, not all people are as kind as I"m, some see a peaceful village, other people may see bountiful of resources.
Human greed... is a terrible thing you know. Come with me.." elder Eldrick stood up with Ravens help and guided these rascals to a big statue on a hill behind his house.
"Who is this?" asked Raven.
"This is Lord Daemon, he was, what we call a protector of fate, someone who neither brings justice nor injustice."
said Eldrick.
"What does that mean?" asked Elisa.
"Well Humans you see, are neither evil or good, everybody is born with innocence. We humans decide how we live, someone may help you if you trip, others may ignore you laying on the ground, never once sparing you a glance. Not everything has reason nor is it good or bad. Fate is sometimes a miraculous thing itself. For thousands and thousands of years, we are living on this island isolated from the world outside, our Island is a little bit more special, not everyone can find us, somebody who knows who we are and is looking for us can spend his whole life searching for us, but to no avail. Then there is you, finding this place at such a young age all alone. Now outside are a few ships, waiting just to explore this place." said elder Eldrick.
Elisa and Raven were a little shocked and taken aback.
"Grandpa do you mean to say we are fault for endangering this place?!" said Raven, he didn"t want this to happen, he didn"t even ask who, he thought it was the man with the scar and the scary aura he robbed.
Elder Eldrick was shaking his head.
"No, in your eyes are no Evil nor Malice, like I said, sometimes things happen without reason, this is what we call fate. It was bound to happen someday, it just happens to be this day. *sigh*"
"Grandpa why are you telling us all this?" asked Elisa, she was a little nervous.
Elder Eldrick smiled and looked at her in the eyes.
"Because you two are, not from here, you can choose to go, fret not Arvan will help you get to your ship and let the two of you escape safely, We of luga kur kur, are bound to this place by oath, we protect this place until our last breath." said elder Eldrick.
"Grandpa what happens to the people here?" asked Raven, he wanted to help, but knew that a young boy could not do anything.
"We will see, Arvan it"s not nice eavesdropping you know?" said elder Eldrick.
"Hehe, I wanted to speak to you, but it got so serious I didn"t want to disturb you." said Arvan who was embarra.s.sed.
Elder Eldrick shook his head.
"How"s the situation?"
Arvans face got instantly serious.
"Elder Eldrick, the cave is still blocked outside, but they still try to dig through. We don"t know how many there are. We can use the River entrance on the other side of the mountain but..." Arvan hesitated.
"Is it Luduan?" asked elder Eldrick.
"Whp knows what he will do to the Children, if he finds out..." Arvan shook his head.
"Arvan, the Children, take care of them, do you understand."
*sigh* "Yes elder Eldrick"
