Card Disciple

Chapter 25

The amount of money these two had was pitifully little. They couldn"t help but put more effort in it instead.  The duration of a Movie Card couldn"t be too long, but it needed to be interesting. To Lei Zi, this was definitely a challenge.  He continually wrote then fixed it nonstop.
Chen Mu wasn"t free either. Although the creating process hadn"t started yet, he was already thinking of countless changeable possibilities.  The images on the Movie Cards weren"t too complicated, but to turn it into something attractive was a relatively difficult matter.  Their biggest obstacle was that there wasn"t enough money for him to experiment.

In other words, Chen Mu would need to lower the number of failed attempts in order not to waste money on creating.  Apparently, his interest in saving money had far surpa.s.sed his desires to learn high-level Card"s knowledge.  To the two poor kids like them, money was their life.

Finally, right when the exchange group of the Stars Courtyard came to Dong Wei Inst.i.tution, Lei Zi had finished writing his script.  When everyone was rushing outside to take a look at the postures of the disciples of the Stars Courtyard – one of the great six inst.i.tutions, Chen Mu and Lei Zi werehiding inside their room, discussing the script.

The two of them started to discuss exaltedly.

Chen Mu had asked Lei Zi to carefully describe in details each effect that he wanted to achieve, like lighting, background, costumes, adornments and characters" facial expressions,… The more Chen Mu asked, the more details he required for. He even enquired about some matters that Lei Zi had totally forgotten about.  Lei Zi had never been like this before. He was feeling a headache.  However, he understood well that Chen Mu wanted to save some money. That was why he also tried his best to answer him in great details.

They had discussed about it for two weeks.  Initially, the script was only a few pages long. But a pile of drafts was soon included.  On the drafts were the results of their two week discussion.

Their eyes were blood-shot, but their minds were clear.

After two weeks of discussion, Chen Mu had engraved the whole story in his heart.  Moreover, he remembered well all of the images, as well as the details on those images.

The most important thing to them right now was not to start making but to rest.

This relax session lasted for two days and two nights.

These two didn"t know, during the time they secluded themselves to discuss, the exchange group of the Stars Courtyard had been staying at DongWei Inst.i.tution.  This exchange program of the Stars Courtyard had received countless attentions from all around TianYou Federation.  Initially, the exchange program was only limited to the Stars Courtyard and DongWei Inst.i.tution. But now, it had become a big event for the whole Eastern Citadel.

This time, w.a.n.g Ze was the representative disciple for Stars Courtyard.  He was skinny and tall; his face was slightly long. His eye sockets were quite deep, but his eyes were sharp.  He was a third-year disciple of the outer court of the Stars Courtyard. If a disciple wasn"t qualified to become an inner disciple, then they only needed four years to graduate.  Although w.a.n.g Ze Card Cultivations capacity was only slightly above normal, he understood how the world ran. Moreover, he was a flexible and clever person. Hence, he was appointed by the inst.i.tution to be the representative disciple.

It seemed that the Stars Courtyard had paid lots of attention to this exchange program.  Except for the fourth year disciples who were preparing for their graduated examination, all of the third year disciples were there, many of them were the hotshots of the inst.i.tution.

In contrary, the one who was in charge of managing the disciples in DongWei Inst.i.tution was Zuo TingYi.

" Have senior w.a.n.g felt more familiar staying here?" Zuo TingYi saw w.a.n.g Ze, respectfully asked.  This was the place where the inst.i.tution had specifically been built for the purpose of being the accommodation for the exchange group in two months. The two inst.i.tutions didn"t establish any restrictions. They let their disciples do whatever it was that they liked.

w.a.n.g Ze also had a good impression with this refined and courteous DongWei inst.i.tution"s disciple.  w.a.n.g Ze came from a n.o.ble family. Therefore, he really liked the polite manners that Zuo TingYi had been showing so far.  He smiled, "Junior brother doesn"t need to worry. The inst.i.tution is very considerate. I am scared that when I come back, I won"t be able to get used to my inst.i.tution anymore."

"Senior brother is being too formal.  Ah, that"s right, today, several disciples from your inst.i.tution have partic.i.p.ated in a third-year field work organized by cla.s.s F. Just like that, we are scared that there wouldn"t be enough instructors to manage this event," Zuo TingYi hesitatingly said.

TianYou Federation had five big high-end districts along with twenty-two Common districts added on the capital would be a total of twenty-eight districts. Twenty-eight districts weren"t on each other borders. Most of them were secluded. The Eastern Citadel in the Eastern District wasn"t an exception. Outside of the Eastern District there were boundless forests. This was also the most ancient and wildest area.   It was the world of other creatures. They were the lords there.  They possessed tremendous power, deadly dangerous and in great numbers.  In the establishment history of the TianYou Federation, each of the districts was built on blood and bones of many ancestors.

Outside of TianYou Federation was the wild, the dense primitive forests, the dried desert, and the sky-piercing snow mountain ranges.  But if one had gone past the wild, pierced through the forest, crossed over the desert, climbed up the snow mountains and continued to head forward, where would they end up to be? No one knew. Every year, countless of explorers set off, but no one had returned.

The dangers out in the wilderness were limitless.  In the wild, powerful creatures were innumerable. There were also the kinds which the most formidable Card Cultivator couldn"t even deal with. They were the true golden children of mother nature.

Moreover, the wild was also a treasure box. With a variety of products, along with the precious fur and skin of the wild animals were enough for those greedy humans to risk their life for.  The rare and high-quality materials used for making Cards also mostly came from those ma.s.sive creatures out in the wilderness.

Not to mention, the discovery of the Shutter Path and Ash Stratum had let the whole TianYou Federation entered a fanatic exploring era.  In the year 2910 of the Fang calendar, humankind had discovered the very first Shutter Path in the wild. Quickly after that, due to being related to the Shutter Path, the Ash Stratum was also found.  The Shutter Path was humans" discovery in the wild. It was the portal into a path of another area.  The Ash Stratum was also a road with two Shutter Paths. It was said that the Ash Stratum was a vast world which was filled with ashes. The name Ash Stratum also came from that.  Right after that, the first Region was found. It was the Mohadi Region.  And the one who found it – Yang Sen, had gained great honor and wealth by it.

TianYou Federation extremely encouraged this type of exploring. Moreover, they even allowed private exploration. If a person could discover a new Region, the benefits they could gain would be countless. For example, if the two decided to start trading, that person would be able to obtain the tax money or the one who found the Region could have the privileges to trade other priorities. Moreover, they would be able to transfer and sell in term of business. As soon as this policy was published, lots of expedition groups, which were invested by big corporations, appeared like mushrooms after the rain.  From their onward, Card Cultivators who followed the Card Theory also developed. They started to show off their battling power strongly, then gradually separated from other violent professions,  and became the best one.  Moreover, the increase in social demand for Card Cultivators had also pushed the study of Card Theory forward.

The wild was a paradise for many explorers, but it was also a h.e.l.l that had buried countless of adventurers.
