Celestial Peak

Chapter 194

The book was interesting as it was mystifying, but after a while of staring and observing the books, he found it tiring and needed to put it away.

But he didn"t put it away before tears of blood flowed out of his eyes. It was an acute pain but w.a.n.g Ling did not even react to it. Tears of blood did not matter for it could be wiped, pain could be ignored for it can be withstood, the curiosity of a scholar could not be satiated if something like a mere book could elicit such a reaction to someone like him.

The book was a mere item similar to the Body Refinement technique of the past, but right now, w.a.n.g Ling could see that its contents was something more.

He tried scanning the whole thing using his spirit sense but the only he got was the first three pages of the thirty-page book.

w.a.n.g Ling felt his head hurt as he scanned the book. He merely stopped when his head felt like it would explode. w.a.n.g Ling became serious and kept the book away.

He wiped the blood away that continued to flow out of his eyes before calming his thrumming head. He closed his eyes and began to meditate all the while having the mystifying words of the first three pages circle in his head.

As he meditated the pain he felt increased. But his concentration on what he was doing oddly heightened. He entered his mindscape and there, he found a wall that was as tall as ten meters.

The words had formed a wall inside the white mindscape and its form was radiating h.e.l.lish might. Black colored ink with red linings on its edge was the wall of words that had appeared inside his head.

Its presence was odd as the mindscape was created through his connection to the Heaven Realm. Its very being was the opposite of the mindscape, for the mindscape to suddenly show this to him was something that caught his attention even more.

But as he chose to ignore the wall, for the time being, a looming figure appeared from behind w.a.n.g Ling. The figure was silent and had a ragged black and white cloak draping over his body.

With a face that was covered with a rag of black and white cloak only a pair of silvery eyes that was laced with a crimson hue could be seen.

It appeared right behind w.a.n.g Ling and as w.a.n.g Ling felt its presence, he turned around with a sword slash. But as he was turning around his hands stopped midway and the sword merely reeked of sword qi.

w.a.n.g Ling was made to stare at the being who managed to invade his mindscape. The being of black and white walked closer to him and soon enough, he stood before w.a.n.g Ling.

w.a.n.g Ling saw those eyes and immediately felt an oppressive feeling. He could not understand where that feeling came from. It was foreign.

He tried opening his mouth but w.a.n.g Ling could not do so as something was stopping him. The figure was a head taller than him so it was looking down at him without even trying.

w.a.n.g Ling looked at the figure and the figure looked at him, slowly, the figure raised its hands and touched the middle of w.a.n.g Ling"s glabella. It touched his forehead shook its head before disappearing.

Every restriction that was originally there vanished in the wind like how the figure vanished.

"What was that?" as soon as he found out that his body lost the restrictions w.a.n.g Ling floated up in the air and looked in the air. The sword he had manifested in the mindscape disappeared as he began looking around.

But to his dismay, the figure disappeared without a trace. The only thing that might have a connection to that black and white figure was the wall of words that had appeared in his mindscape. He was at a loss as to what exactly was happening.

"This whole thing is beginning to make less and less sense for me. But, I feel like the whole thing regarding this bloodlines and connection runs deeper than I imagine. After the whole thing settles, I should visit the Devil"s Catacombs and the Heavenly Gardens."

w.a.n.g Ling decided without much hesitation. As he remained inside his mindscape, w.a.n.g Ling chose to sit cross-legged and then two flames bursts out of his hands.

At the moment, his mind was a little disoriented so the flames flickered wildly, but soon enough, w.a.n.g Ling regained his focus and the flames calmed down.

"The time for the second ignition is about to start. It is not that bad compared to the first ignition and the third as it is a little tamed." w.a.n.g Ling began talking to himself as he slowly began to trying to shape the flames.

As the flames were one and the same as it came from a single core, w.a.n.g Ling has to make sure that he was manipulating the whole thing without carelessness.

The second ignition of the True h.e.l.l Flames and the True Heavenly Flames was something called the [Avatar Creation], it was the manifestation of a form the flame should take. For a flame to retain its shape its intensity and the control its user has to be taken into consideration. After all, if a single one of the variables is missing the whole thing would explode.

w.a.n.g Ling"s White Sun was already a simple step towards this, but that was merely ama.s.sing a ball of flames and throwing it to an opponent. The Shroud of Sanctifying Blaze was much more complicated but it is not the true manifestation of w.a.n.g Ling"s will.

w.a.n.g Ling could easily manipulate the True Heavenly Flames, but the True h.e.l.l Flames was on a whole level altogether. The True h.e.l.l Flames was a kind of flame that could not be controlled easily.

The two forms he had created using this flame was a reflection of that. w.a.n.g Ling describes this flames as a strong flame but it could also be self-destructive especially in the second form of the h.e.l.l Flame forms.

w.a.n.g Ling continued his attempts to reel in the h.e.l.l Flames and forming an avatar but nothing changed and the sun rose before he knew it.

Sounds of clamors was heard as forewords were fired early in the morning. The festive mood of the Lord"s City could be felt. It was time for the selection to commence.
