Celestial Peak

Chapter 323

G.o.ds, beings beyond Immortals. w.a.n.g Ling had heard the Gray Figure speak of them for so many times but w.a.n.g Ling has no idea what they are. He asked the Gray Figure about what G.o.ds are, but the Gray Figure only shook its head and refused to say anything.

"In normal cases, I will tell you what a G.o.d truly is, but your path will not allow me. Your bloodline is innately attuned to G.o.dhood, you do not follow the conventional means and once you reach G.o.dhood you will learn everything why I am keeping silent. But I will let you learn something, once you reach G.o.dhood, a new door will open for you and if you use it wisely everything will fall into place."

Such is the lengthy lecture he was given, he learned a lot in that lecture while still being kept in the dark. And in this situation when the body of a G.o.d is in the equation, w.a.n.g Ling does not know what use a G.o.d Body will have.

And so, once again, w.a.n.g Ling will ask those who know rather than act like he knows everything. Though he has his own idea, he still wants to confirm his thoughts, "What is the significance of the body of a G.o.d?"

The Gray Figure looked at him and contemplated for a while and he answered with a question of his own, "What do you think? I"ll tell you if you manage to come close to the answer."

The Gray Figure was acting like a teacher and he did not expect such a thing. He had seen the Gray Figure as nothing but a guide, but it seems like it was trying to groom him properly. The knowledge it possesses is not kept in the dark for w.a.n.g Ling, it merely wants to let him grow and learn on his own.

It had been said that impatience leads to failure. Learning everything may just be more detrimental to not knowing at all. In some cases, It may even lead to the downfall of others.

w.a.n.g Ling noticed this point and he subconsciously smiled at the attempts of the Gray Figure, but he played along as he gave out his answer, "The G.o.ds are being above Immortals then the concentration of qi in their body will be much denser than ours. If I follow the logic behind the death of Immortals; wherein the death of an Immortal the Immortal Qi in their body will gather in their hearts and turn into an Immortal Core. With that as our foundation of knowledge, is there something closed called a [G.o.d Core]?"

w.a.n.g Ling"s deduction was logical. Basing everything he spoke on what little knowledge and information he had regarding Immortals and G.o.ds, w.a.n.g Ling managed to create believable and quite frankly plausible knowledge.

Sadly, the Gray Figure said otherwise, "Close but not enough, the idea of a G.o.d Core is good and there should be one as well. But even if there isn"t, the whole body of a G.o.d is a treasure. When a G.o.d dies, each part of its body will become a G.o.d Artifact."

w.a.n.g Ling was enlightened and confirming that there is indeed a G.o.d Core is something of a bonus w.a.n.g Ling was not expecting. He had experienced the Immortal Core"s potency, what about a G.o.d Core? Will it bring his cultivation to G.o.d Realm in one jump? w.a.n.g Ling did not know.

But he was sure that it should give him quite a leap in his cultivation. With his motivation rising, w.a.n.g Ling sped up his travel and soon enough he caught sight of a giant door t about twenty meters large.

A giant door made of black material w.a.n.g Ling does not know of. Observing the Black Door, w.a.n.g Ling found the presence it gave off is especially oppressive. Such a wondrous material this was that it made him take one step back.

"This is Black Essence Steel. Found only in the deepest parts of Lower h.e.l.l, it is a material that is rare even in h.e.l.l. It does not have any use other than being extremely st.u.r.dy and looking oppressive."

The Gray Figure"s words gave w.a.n.g Ling an idea. What if I take that away? He thought to himself.

"Don"t even try taking it away. Even a Low-G.o.d will find taking it away a ha.s.sle on those guys can lift up to 10,000,000 kilograms at their pinnacle." Sensing his thoughts, the Gray Figure immediately warned him about doing anything useless and unnecessary.

w.a.n.g Ling did think it might become useful if he can smelt it and use it as an ingredient as a way to make his sword even heavier but it seems like that would be impossible.

Approaching the door, w.a.n.g Ling was ready to fail on trying to open the door. It was said to be heavy so he expected it to be hard, but as he placed his hands on the surface of the black door, the door slowly opened with a creaking sound reverberating in the empty room.

The door fully opened and w.a.n.g Ling found something truly interesting. The room in front of him was a square and all four sides had a giant door as its entrance. The room was s.p.a.cious and golden in color. The room was nearly blinding.

In the middle of the room, there was a square black platform made from the same material as the door. The platform was large and from all sides, it had ten steps in total.

The Black Essence Steel had been prevalent to this Mesas fellow, w.a.n.g Ling reckoned it must have something to do with his legacy.

On the platform, there was coffin made of Black Essence Steel. It seemed utterly bizarre to see something like that but w.a.n.g Ling has no problem with it and just entered the room. The room he was in was s.p.a.cious so his every steps echoed inside.

When he finally stopped in front of the platform, w.a.n.g Ling lowered his head to find a mat laid down. The mat was made with dark materials, but it was not Dark Essence Steel.

He ignored it and attempted to step onto the platform. But as soon as a single step was taken, w.a.n.g Ling felt an enormous pressure boring down upon his body. And a strong gust of wind swept him up his feet and blew him away.
