Ginger observed Caesar in a new light as they returned to the palace, she had been taught that all humans were born equal and deserved fairly. However, after traveling through a few kingdoms, she soon figured out how hypocritical these teachings were.
Some humans strived for greatness and earned it, while others merely lazed around and felt as though they deserved the same fame and wealth as those who worked hard. Of course, some were born with a silver spoon, while others were born as slaves.
Thinking to here, Ginger opened up her thin lips, "do you believe those people are worth less than others, do you believe that all men are not created equal?" she asked whilst glancing toward Caesar. The unrest in her heart was deathly curious.
Her question caused Caesar to simply smile, "all men and women will end up in the same place, no matter how grand or how tragic their conclusion was. However, worth cannot be measured so easily, it varies from one person to another. For instance, Elizabeth is worth very much to me, however, to these people, they couldn"t care less about her," he explained calmly.
As Ginger was still shocked by his remarks, he continued, "In my personal opinion, all men are not created equal. Some are born smarter, or more beautiful, or with parents of greater status. Some, by contrast, are born of weak body or mind, or with few, if any, talents. All men are different. Yes, the very existence of man is discriminatory. That is why there is war, violence, and unrest!" each and every word that Caesar spoke, pierced into Ginger"s heart.
"Naturally, since you seemed to have been born with extraordinary talent, you have become the youngest paladin in the church"s long history. As such, you are treated differently than the others and are given certain privileges," Caesar further expressed his opinion and they finally reached the palace.
He walked toward the edge of the steps and took Elizabeth off of his shoulders, he then proceeded to crouch down and kiss her on the forehead. "Darling, I will be going back and picking up your mother now. Please inform Crowley that I want him to purchase the western side of Rahvin kingdom, naturally, I"ll be using my own funds," he instructed and turned away without waiting for her reply.
Caesar wanted both of them to dwell on his words and formulate their own opinions on the matter. He, of course, wouldn"t force Elizabeth and Ginger to think like him, he would simply explain the way he thought. Although the ignorant may be blissful and content, they would never be capable of progressing and reaching the peak.
Thinking to here, he left the absentminded Elizabeth and Ginger behind. His destination was the stables so that he could use a lone horse. He didn"t want to make Ahri and the others wait outside all night, instead, he would bring them inside of the kingdom tonight.
Both Ginger and Elizbeth glanced at each other as they walked up the large fleet of stairs, "do you think your father is correct? That humans are not born equal, but instead, the opposite?" Ginger asked with a troubled expression.
Elizabeth shook her head, "I think his way of thinking is too cruel… I treat the n.o.bles in the kingdom just the same as I would treat the citizens on the streets. They are generally the same people besides the way they dress and carry themselves" She said with a tap of her chin and they soon reached the palace doors.
"But you haven"t seen the cruelty of humanity, yet" Ginger whispered, inaudible enough for Elizabeth to hear and they soon entered the palace. The guards beside them kneeled and escorted the both of them to the kitchen. That was where they normally resided and ate sweets.
…
While both Elizabeth and Ginger were still dwelling on the controversial topic, caesar rented a swift steed and exited Rahvin kingdom. He directed the horse towards the distant farmland lying on the outskirts.
The stars, high up in the sky shined brightly as he moved across the lone and desolate road. The farmers and merchants had long acquired a place to sleep, as such, the fox-kin would hardly even be noticed as they entered.
The strikingly beautiful moon seemed to be illuminating the farmlands and the gorgeous flowers were blooming quite exquisitely. Many features of this world were vastly different in comparison to Earth, such as the seasons, and crops. All life in this world was saturated by the rich mana, strengthening it and causing its vitality to rise.
Since it was summer, the crops were grown with a strong vitality and the front of Rhavin kingdom was full of life. Another grand harvest was certain, and feeding the huge increase in population would be much more reasonable.
However, Caesar wasn"t unrealistic. He would, of course, use his personal funds that were generated from his "evernight" company to purchase more food for the fox-kin. Even though the harvest was expected to be overwhelming, he wouldn"t dare to take from the lovely farmers.
As he was thinking of his future plans, he finally arrived in front of a huge line of carriages, and horses. Some fox-kin guards were standing watch and called out to the others once Caesar arrived, thus, the large group of citizens soon surrounded him.
Caesar hopped off of his black horse and gave the fox-kin a thumbs-up, "I solved the initial problems and we are now capable of moving within the kingdom now, follow me," Caesar ordered and once again hopped onto his horse, further instructions were unnecessary.
The fox-kin breathed a sigh of relief and soon followed after Caesar"s horse which was slowly trodding down the dirt roads. Since Caesar was in the lead, no one in Rahvin kingdom would dare stop him, and the group behind him.
He made sure that all of the fox-kin hid their ears or tails expertly so that the night-owls were not capable of spotting them. Like this, they slowly made their way toward the kingdom gates relatively easily, the children and adults alike, admiring the freshly grown vegetables as they traveled.
The castle guards were intrigued by the people that Caesar let in, however, they didn"t dare ask and merely let them pa.s.s. The fox-kin nodded gratefully at the guards and they soon made their way to the western side of the kingdom.
Their loud movements awoke some of the sleep pedestrians, but they just figured a group of merchants were pa.s.sing through and went back to sleep. However, the residents in the slums were baffled at the huge group of new tenants.
The fox-kin set up already prepared tents and Caesar informed them that they would be in possession of wooden and brick homes very soon and that sleeping in tents would only be temporary. He also planned to enlist the clan-heads and other strong warriors into the military school, he just needed to find a way that they could more easily hide their tails and ears.
With this in mind, Caesar bade the large group of fox-kin farewell and headed to the merchants guild. He needed to acquire his money, set up the foundation for his business, and talk with Veronica about the future. Naturally, Ahri followed behind him.
