Lottatna stirred and touched their noses together.

"Are you feeling better, Lottatna?" he asked.

"More at peace," she replied.

"Are you feeling well enough to eat?"

"A little something."

"Green smoothie sound good?"

"Fine."

Resetarits left her on the beanbag while he blended everything together. His slightly hunched form only shifting as he moved his tail every once in a while. He could feel Lottatna watching him. It was several minutes before she approached him. She set her hands on his shoulders and he straightened. His tails shifted and created ripples in his shirt.

"Divide your tails in half," she instructed.

His shirt moved, bulging more noticeably on the sides. She dragged her fingers down to the center of his back. Then she pulled the waistband of his pants back to leave room for his tails to pa.s.s.

"Send them down each pant leg."

The bulges left his shirt and hid nicely in his jeans. She wrapped her arms around to his chest and worked the muscle on the front of his rib cage. Resetarits took a deep breath then let it out.

"Thank you, my shoulders feel better." He gave her a side hug.

"You"re welcome." She hugged him back.

Resetarits finished cutting up the vegetables and blended them all together. He handed her a gla.s.s then they sat together on the couch.

"Thank you, Resetarits," Lottatna said, fingering the lip of her gla.s.s.

"You"re welcome, Lottatna." He kissed her cheek.

She slowly and thoughtfully drank the smoothie.

"Will you tell me what"s on your mind?" Resetarits asked about half way through.

"I don"t know where to start."

"Do you want to go back to your apartment?"

Lottatna grimaced. "There would be no point," she said.

"We can bring your things here, if you feel okay with that?"

She nodded slightly.

"Alright. We"ll go when we"re done."

"Okay," she whispered.

Resetarits scooted closer to her and pulled her to lean against him. They finished their drinks. Resetartis handed her the bottle of Shooting Star. Lottatna took it from him and looked at him curiously.

"Jason said you needed it. Four drops three times a day."

"When did you call Jason?" she asked.

"This morning."

"Alright." She took it and sighed deeply.

Then they went over to Lottatna"s apartment to gather her things.

Resetarits pushed her plastic dresser across the hall to their apartment before boxing up all the utensils and dishes and taking them over. Lottatna emptied her bathroom, the fridge and freezer. She didn"t have much. So by evening, all of Lottatna"s things were in Resetarits" apartment. They ate together, read a couple chapters of a Hi-Fantasy novel together before falling asleep on the couch.

Lottatna woke before sunrise and left the apartment. She stood at the head of the stairs watching the sky lighten before the top of the sun started to peek out from behind the mountains. The floor squeaked behind her before Resetarits wrapped his arms around her and rested his head on her shoulder. Neither of them spoke as they watched the sun lift off the mountains. Then they returned to the apartment.

Lottatna made breakfast this morning. A sign that things were improving. She took the shooting star. Resetarits embraced her from behind and kissed her shoulder as she dished up the food. She handed a plate to him.

"Thank you, Lottatna," he said.

"You"re welcome, Resetarits."

They sat on the couch and ate. They were almost done when Lottatna"s eyes widened. She set her plate down and dug into her purse. She pulled out her planner and opened it. She flipped to the date.

"I called your clients and canceled their appointments this weekend," Resetarits said. "I wasn"t sure how soon you"d be awake enough to work. If you can even work now."

Lottatna nodded slowly. More tears came from her eyes. She wouldn"t have to pay for her own apartment anymore which helped on expenses, but what would she do? She couldn"t expect Resetarits to support both of them and their coming children. Very few of her clients accepted the hands off work. Most of them responded better to the hands on work. She was still crying when Resetarits snuggled up against her back, wrapping his arms around her.

"I"ll find work soon, Lottatna," he said. "It"ll be alright. I can support us."

I shook my head. "I should work for as long as I am able. Then we won"t have stress when you are out of work."

"But how will you do that without touching your clients?"

"I don"t know!" she lamented.

Resetartis held and comforted her until she crawled away from him. She curled into a tight ball on the beanbag and fell asleep. Resetarits covered her and kissed her. He cleaned up breakfast dishes then shifted some things in the apartment to ensure that everything fit well. Lottatna shifted in her sleep. She moaned and thrashed. He went to her side and held her. She whimpered. She whined. Then she relaxed.

She slept for another few hours before she sighed, "I hope that will work."

"That what will work?" Resetarits asked.

"Flower essence treated leather."

"Fabric doesn"t make a difference. Your own change is proof of that."

"I have to try something, Resetarits. I don"t have the skills for another type of work."

"Okay."

She smiled and they kissed before they got up. They walked to the clothing outlet and Lottatna bought a full leather suit and gloves that were big on her. She figured the leather would shrink after being soaked in flower essences. On their way back to the apartment, Lottatna called in an overnight order for 20 1oz bottles each of Black Cohosh, Mountain Pride, Rock Rose, Star Tulip, and Willow.

"What do those flower essences do? Resetarits asked as they entered their apartment.

"All of them have to do with some perspective on death."

"But will those five be enough?"

"I won"t know until I try," she replied honestly.

"Alright."

Lottatna took off her clothes and lay on the beanbag.
