The lights were just floating up into the air and dissipating, as thought becoming a part of the air itself. Laz had no idea what was happening, but he was strangely drawn to the golden colored nectar. He felt like his body had a yearning for it. It was kind of an instinctual draw that couldn"t be explained. As he stood in the strange clearing, his entire body was almost shaking with antic.i.p.ation.But he was no idiot. Just because something looked good didn"t mean that it was. This strange flower was obviously not something that had been recorded as existing on earth before. This was more like something out of a fantasy novel than something you would find in real life. He took a step back and spent a moment to calm his thoughts.
"What should I do?" He couldn"t help but ask himself. Even if it seemed like he wanted it, he wasn"t foolish enough to just go based on his instinct. Instead, he felt like he should figure a few things out first.
Ever since he had first started using his sense perception, he had kept it on at all times. The combination of his enhanced senses were always working now as opposed to before when he would turn them on and off so to speak. The benefits of this perception wasn"t small and therefore he just started using it all the time in the two days he had it. He realized now that it actually took effort from him if he wanted to cancel it.
He slowed his breathing and closed his eyes. Like magically flipping a switch, he shut off his perception and then opened his eyes again. At this point, he could no longer see the green colored energy flecks or the glowing nectar. Instead, all he saw was a dark clearing that seemed completely normal. Compared to the heavenly sight from before, it was almost like stepping into a colorless world. He was now sure that this flower and nectar was something that was caused by the Yggdrasil tree, although he had no idea how this would have happened.
Since he had no reason to not use his sense, he activated it once again and immediately the clearing filled with the strange lights.
He walked forward again to the nectar and just stared at it for a few minutes before walking forward and reaching out. Although he didn"t know what it was, he couldn"t think of a way that it would be dangerous just by touching it. His body was many times stronger than a regular person and he wasn"t that far from his home. From this, he drew almost a useless sense of comfort.
He still thought to be cautious though and only dipped the tip of his small finger into the shimmering liquid. He figured it he was going to lose a finger, it might as well be a minor one.
After dipping his finger in, he didn"t notice any change and pulled it back. The nectar had a consistency like that of honey where it was a liquid, but it was very sticky. Although he knew he was being incredibly stupid right now, Laz couldn"t help but bring his finger to his mouth and like it.
The taste could only be described as mind blowing. His body felt like it had orgasimed in a way that was one hundred times more pleasurable than masturbating. As just the little bit of substance went down his throat and into his stomach, he suddenly felt a small bit of heat spreading throughout his body. He didn"t know what was happening, but his body wanted more.
Before he even knew what he was doing, he had stuck two fingers into the heavenly golden nectar and drew out a larger quant.i.ty. Without a second though, he stuck his fingers in his mouth and began licking and sucking as though it was the sweetest candy in the world.
The delicious treat once again flowed into his stomach, but this time the heat was far more intense than when he took the smallest taste. It spread out all over his body and he couldn"t help but double over in mind numbing pain. His body felt like he had ingested magma while his skin had the feeling of thousands of needles poking him over and over again in waves of maddening pain.
As he hit the ground, he curled into a ball and started shaking. His body was actually faintly glowing the same color golden light of the nectar. The heat was felt like it was going to turn his insides to jelly unless he did something, but he had no idea what.
In a single moment of clarity, he remembered the small pond that was just a few feet away, and using all of his will power, he dragged his somewhat useless and wrecked body over to the pond. By the time he reached the edge of the pond, he had no strength left. It took the distance of about three steps to completely drain him of all energy and as he collapsed in front of the pond, he noticed it was strangely glowing blue.
He hadn"t noticed it before since the light from the flower and the nectar were somewhat blinding compared to the light blue of the pond. But as he lay that in agony and looked at the water, he saw swirls of blue flumes coming off of the pond as though it was a chilled beverage. He probably should have been more cautious at this point, but he couldn"t be bothered to think about the consequences as he moved his head over to the water and started drinking.
The pond itself was only about 10 feet in diameter and could barely be considered more than a puddle, but to a boy who was burning from the inside out, it looked like the most refreshing beverage he could ever want.
As he was lapping at the water like some kind of animal, Laz started feeling the ice cold liquid pour down his throat as though putting out the fire inside him. The problem was, after a few sips, he realized his tongue was numb and he couldn"t move it.
"Oh f.u.c.k!" Was the only thing he could come up with at this moment.
The ice cold water hit his stomach and began to clash with the boiling hot nectar. As Laz opened his mouth due to a feeling of drowning, he noticed steaming coming out from his mouth and noise. Had this been happening to someone else, he might of laughed when he saw it, but for the him right now, he could only feel worried.
His body was twisting and turning in pain as the two completely different sources of energy ripped back and forth throughout his body, like they were staking a claim on him. As they penetrated every inch of his being, they even started to invade his bones.
Laz had never imagined what it would feel like to have someone start drilling holes in his bones, but if he had to make a comparison, it would still be less painful for that to happen than this. His entire skeleton felt like it was expanding and vibrating.
It"s important to note that when you are younger, your bones are more rubbery and haven"t hardened yet. As Laz wasn"t done with his natural growth, he still had a way to go before he hit his maximum height. But at this moment, his bones started to grow themselves and stretch his skin and muscles that were being constantly energized by the combined force of the nectar heat and ice water.
The pain washed over him again and again while his body was going through a rebirth of sorts. He skin became firm and supple, his hair grew as though it were alive as other changes began to occur.
He muscles and joints were strengthened, he ligaments became far more flexible, he nails and teeth became harder and stronger. His entire being was burned down, cooled and built back up.
The waves of energy kept pounding him over and over again until they finally started to subside. Laz"s entire body that had been taunt and stiff the entire time finally relaxed like a man who had just climaxed. He only had the strength to roll over and look up. The light from the flower was still illuminating the entire clearing while Laz"s body was being hit by the little green flecks of light that were coming off of it.
Laz had no feeling at the moment other than one of complete exhaustion, but he couldn"t even move, much less try to get up and go home.
As he lay there and his mind came back to him a little, he noticed he was in the middle of both the flower and the pond. Looking upwards, he could see the green light flecks floating in the air and occasionally coming into contact with the icy blue flumes coming off of the pond. Whenever they got close together, they started swirling around each other as though they were dancing in a circle.
They gathered together, pulling and pushing each other apart. The light green and icy blue started weaving around each other in a figure eight pattern of dance, going faster and faster until they gained enough energy to break apart and shoot off into the distance. Although the sight was incredible to watch, it wasn"t as bright as the light of the flower so it wasn"t as noticeable.
As Laz lay there, he watch the same action happen over and over again and being unable to move, he could to nothing but watch it happen. At some point, when his eye lids got heavy, he closed his eyes and could still see the swills of energy constantly circling each other in their intricate dance pattern. He was watched it so much, he was able to visualize it in his sleep.
At some point, he drifted off into a half awake, half asleep state while still seeing the energy flow in his mind. The bits of energy from both the flower and the pond that had been flowing together before dispersing start to flow towards Laz instead.
As the bits of energy entered his body, they started to repair the bits inside of him that had been ravaged by the clash of energies from before. They mended his weakened blood vessels and torn bits of muscle. Although these injuries wouldn"t have been visible or impacted him, normally, they would have caused damage later on in life.
If someone had been standing over Laz and watching him at this moment, they would have seen parts of his body glow blue and green while rotating in a constant circle, matching the pattern of the flower"s and water"s energy flow.
