Chapter 1898 - 1898 Ghost Venom Abyss! Eerie! (1)
If you can’t resist, then lie down and accept it.
This seemed to be w.a.n.g Teng’s current situation.
He found himself within the vortex of the air current, and he had decided not to resist. He allowed the vortex to carry him away to who knows where.
However, w.a.n.g Teng noticed that this air current vortex didn’t seem entirely detrimental to him. After calming down, he clearly sensed that his Demon Lotus Poison Body was undergoing some changes after absorbing the potent toxins from this air current.
He couldn’t help but look at the attributes board.
Demon Lotus Poison Body: 680/10000
“It improved!” w.a.n.g Teng’s eyes showed a hint of surprise. He didn’t expect that by absorbing some potent poisons, his Demon Lotus Poison Body would actually improve slightly.
Although it was only a 40-point increase, it was a real improvement.
w.a.n.g Teng was puzzled. It was very difficult to raise one’s physique. Normal methods wouldn’t be able to raise it. He wondered what kind of poisons were in this air current vortex that could accomplish something seemingly impossible.
Knowing the incredible effects of the poison’s power, w.a.n.g Teng naturally stopped resisting and actively started absorbing it.
World Devourer!
w.a.n.g Teng activated this divine ability. His body seemed to transform into a vortex, greedily absorbing the poisons from within the air current vortex.
He stared intently at the attributes board.
“It’s effective!” w.a.n.g Teng was overjoyed.
As expected, the Demon Lotus Poison Body attribute slowly increased.
Little did Tang Cheng and the others know that w.a.n.g Teng hadn’t died at all. He was thriving in the air current vortex.
Not only had he survived, but he also gained some significant benefits.
As time pa.s.sed, w.a.n.g Teng had no idea how far he had been carried by the vortex. Eventually, it seemed that the air current vortex had come to a stop and was slowly dissipating.
w.a.n.g Teng slowly opened his eyes and shook his head. Despite his efforts to resist the spinning force by closing his eyes, he still felt a bit dizzy.
Very soon, the dizziness subsided and he regained his senses. He looked around him.
His pupils suddenly contracted as he saw what seemed like a ma.s.sive abyss ahead, extending beyond his sight. Below, mist shrouded everything, making it impossible to see the bottom.
w.a.n.g Teng hurriedly activated his Real Eye to take a look. He could only see about a dozen meters ahead before his vision was completely obstructed, and he couldn’t make out anything below.
The current from the vortex had not completely stopped, and it was heading towards the ma.s.sive abyss.
w.a.n.g Teng was frightened and started to sweat profusely. Fortunately, at this moment, the current’s rotation had gradually slowed down. Without thinking too much, he immediately unleashed his Force, propelling himself like a cannonball, breaking free from the restraints of the vortex.
Tap!
He flew for a few thousand meters before landing firmly at the edge of the abyss.
He took a deep breath and looked around.
What met his eyes were strange black rocks, jagged and abrupt, some of them hosting peculiar plants like thorns and vines that covered the rocks, creating an eerie appearance.
In the crevices of some rocks, he spotted various types of centipedes, scorpions, and other poisonous insects crawling around. The rustling sounds were constant, sending s.h.i.+vers down his spine.
“This place is so eerie!” w.a.n.g Teng furrowed his brows, feeling an extremely uncomfortable sensation in his heart.
Standing at the edge of the abyss, he looked down, where a swirling mist enveloped everything below. It came in various colors: green, gray, black, red, and many more. The fog was colorful, indicating it was far from ordinary mist.
“w.a.n.g Teng, this seems to be the far-western region of Scorpion King Star, a highly dangerous forbidden area known as the Ghost Venom Abyss!” Round Ball’s voice echoed in w.a.n.g Teng’s mind. It hadn’t been idle while w.a.n.g Teng was trapped in the vortex. Instead, it had been predicting the vortex’s movement.
Now that the vortex had dissipated and halted at this abyss, Round Ball naturally deduced their current location.
“Ghost Venom Abyss!” w.a.n.g Teng’s eyes flashed with curiosity. “That sounds quite intimidating!”
“Don’t underestimate this place,” Round Ball cautioned. “According to various records, this chasm is filled with all kinds of poisonous gases and miasma, all gathering in one place. It’s no small matter. Moreover, there are various unknown toxins hidden inside. Many higher-stage martial warriors who entered it ended up dead, not to mention you, a mere cosmos-stage martial warrior.”
“So scary!” w.a.n.g Teng was shocked.
“Indeed, you may be a poison-element martial warrior, and it seems you possess some kind of poison physique, but I advise you to be cautious and not let your guard down,” Round Ball said.
It always stayed close to w.a.n.g Teng and there were some things it couldn’t miss.
Moreover, w.a.n.g Teng didn’t deliberately hide these aspects, so Round Ball was very familiar with the Force he controlled and even had some understanding of his special physiques.
w.a.n.g Teng nodded.
When he had just arrived here, he sensed that this place was not regular and that there was a very dangerous aura pervading the surroundings. Naturally, he wouldn’t take it lightly.
“By the way, could there be a reason why the vortex dissipated here?” w.a.n.g Teng rubbed his chin and pondered.
“Perhaps the termination point of that vortex was originally here,” Round Ball thought for a moment and said, “Scorpion King Star is unique. It experiences many surprising celestial phenomena. What we experienced just now might be one of them.”
