Last time on Drizz and Gang, after surviving a sudden attack from the sky above, the adventurers look for the missing villagers. They are lead to the bas.e.m.e.nt below where they once rested, only to find a series of tunnels."Where are we?" Nicholas walked at the front with a light, whilst the others followed tightly behind. The walls were thin and the air was tight. Drizz and Reela stayed at the back whilst Eden used magic to sense any oncoming attacks.
"No idea," Eden said.
"Which way should we go? This place is a maze." They found themselves at a crossroad and had no idea what their end goal was, they had just been walking around hoping to find something.
"This way," Eden said leading the group. "I can sense something."
They followed behind Eden, who confidently walked ahead.
"Slow down will you," Drizz said. "We can"t all keep up."
"Sorry, but we should hurry. It doesn"t look good."
Eden"s trembling voice stopped when they reached a large open area. Below them, hundreds of torches lit the ground whilst Orcs slaved away mining.
"What are they doing?" Nicholas whispered.
"It looks like they are after something," Drizz replied
They watched closely looking around for hints and clues. The mine below them looked old and originally abandoned. Rusted minecart tracks and bones covered the grounds the orcs walked on.
"Hey, look there." Reela pointed to a tent situated in the far back of the hole. "he seems familiar."
"What a coincidence," Drizz responded. "That"s the b.a.s.t.a.r.d I"m after."
"Looks like this is our final stop," Nicholas said. "Let"s get revenge."
Having come up with a plan the 5 random people that joined together to fight, separated themselves around the top, looking into the hole from various points.
Drizz looked across to Crow and Nicholas, giving them a signal to which they slid down the side.
The orcs became alert to their presence but this gave Drizz the perfect opportunity to strike.
Arrow after arrow came crashing down onto the orcs below.
Eden quickly chanted fireb.a.l.l.s burning up the tent with the leader in it, whilst Reela supported them from above with healing magic.
"The leader is leaving into the tunnels!" Drizz shouted as he slid down to meet the others. "We"ve got to follow him."
Reela met Drizz and the bottom and the two of them ran into the tunnels, leaving behind the others to finish up the orcs.
"Quick this way!" Drizz shouted to Reela.
They chased after the orc leader who started to panic. He turned back to look at those chasing after him but kept running. Drizz pulled out his bow and crippled the orc, stopping him from escaping.
"You can"t run now," Drizz said standing above his body. "You"ve caused the deaths of countless people with your army. We"ve killed your kind before. You don"t deserve a peaceful death."
Whilst walking back to meet with the others, the two of them heard loud noises coming from the main area. They ran back as quickly as they could and encountered the others injured on the floor, standing above them was an orc larger than anything they had ever seen before.
Drizz didn"t hesitate. He pulled out his bow but was too slow for he had already been knocked back into a wall.
"Reela. Run!" Drizz shouted with what little breath he had left after that attack.
The enemy that Reela faced was something much greater than anything she had ever dealt with. The orc ran up to her, only using several steps to arrive, but Reela managed to defend herself thanks to her magic.
The orc started to pound on her but she was able to withstand the damage, giving Drizz, Nicholas and Eden enough time to recover.
"What a tough orc," Nicholas said cracking his neck.
"He had me for a second," Drizz said.
"This guy seems like the final boss." Eden voiced.
The three adventurers look up to the giant in front of them. They all smirked at him as if they had already won, perhaps it was the time they spent together which taught them that they could get through anything. Together they were able to take out an orc camp and protect others. The three adventurers that met by fate were ready to complete their destiny.
"Drizz, Eden," Nicholas said. "Leave the blocking to me."
Nicholas ran into the orc"s legs and began slicing them as he ran past.
Drizz took the opportunity to quickly empty his quiver into the orcs eyes, whilst Eden prepared a fireball that would deal the final blow.
The battle raged on for some time, but some would say it was over quickly. The three of them stood on top of the orc"s chard body and pierced a sword through the top. Perhaps it was because no one had seen teamwork like this that their victory was guaranteed. Nicholas took the hits, whilst Drizz provided to support to protect Eden.
"Job well done!" Nicholas said.
"Yeah. I guess we did ok." Drizz responded.
The 5 adventurers worked their way back out of the tunnels and into the town they stayed out. Upon their arrival, the villagers that once vanished had returned waiting to greet and celebrate their victory.
"What?" Drizz said. "Where were they?"
"I found them in cages." Crow said. "I let them go and they ran back up."
The villagers cheered until there were no more cheers to be had. They used whatever resources they had to hold a feast for the 5 of them, full of alcohol, food and most importantly, comfy beds.
"So… I guess this is it." Nicholas said. "You got your revenge."
"I did. Although it doesn"t feel as good as I hoped."
"What are you saying?" A drunk Eden said. "We took down the final boss!"
"Yeah… I guess we did." Drizz said.
"What do we do now?" Crow asked.
"I still need to find a place to call home," Drizz said. "I have no reason to stay with you guys anymore."
The group sat around a campfire and reflected on the journey they had. They spent their time together and even if it was for only a few days, they were rather fond of each other.
"It"s ok," Nicholas said. "You can go look for a place to live. I should be heading to the human capital."
"I should also find a way to revive my dead mother," Eden said. "What about you two?"
Reela and Crow had no place to go, they both joined after their village was attacked and had nowhere to return to.
"I don"t know," Reela said.
"Why don"t you come with me?" Drizz asked. "A half-elf like you would fit right in with everyone where I"m going."
Reela thought about Drizz" request but didn"t want to leave Crow. She turned to her and held her tightly as tears rolled down her eyes.
"Don"t worry," Crow said protecting Reela. "I"ll be ok."
That night the sound of the fire was drowned out by Reela and Crow"s tears.

"What are you crying for?" Drizz said to a tear covered Nicholas.
"You"re one to talk. You"re also crying."
The 5 of them spent their last night together talking. They stayed up as late as possible learning more and more about each other and sharing memories of their adventures.
At the sight of dawn, Drizz and Reela made preparations to leave.
"Well, this is it," Drizz said. "You know, It was fun."
"We"ll always be a party," Nicholas stated. "We will all meet up again one day."
They saw off Drizz and Reela who walked into the forest, several hours later Eden also departed. Heading back to the town she grew up in.
"I guess it"s just us, Crow," Nicholas said as he listened to the sound of the wind atop a sunny hill.
"I"ll be heading to the human capital." He said. "What are you going to do?"
"I don"t know." She replied.
"Hmmm. Why don"t you come with me." Nicholas suggested.
Crow hesitated although it seemed as if she always knew her answer, she was just waiting for the question.
"Sure!"
The day the three adventurers met up would be one that changed their lives forever. They didn"t know it back then but the memories they spent together in these few days would last with them for a lifetime.
