--ELLIE"s POV--

I"ve MET AN ALIEN. Its appearance is different. Its face is different. Everything about it is different and peculiar. Its eyebrows are thick. Its jawline is sharp. This alien is probably the most good-looking alien I have ever seen. Not that I have seen one. I guess I was too impulsive to have punched it but I have to be careful, I don"t know what it can do yet. I didn"t bring it home. Maybe because of the fact that Micha would freak out if she saw this.

We are inside a cave. I figured that this is the best option for us to hide from the other warriors. I usually hide in a tree or under the bushes but I got someone or something with me. It saved me so I owe it a favour. I shiver from the cold. It"s almost sunrise, just a few minutes before I return home or I"ll get a very long lecture from Micha again. But where would I put this alien? I can"t just leave it here. The warriors can find it here. They"ll probably torture it to death. I sighed. I"ll just explain everything to Micha when I got home.

The alien stirred and I got my crossbow ready. I point it at its face. My breathing gets heavier every moment. A second then a minute pa.s.sed. I started to lower my crossbow but it opened its eyes. I was caught off guard by how pretty its eyes are. Its eye are the colour of yellow and grey and somewhat a little green. I have to take back what I"ve said earlier. It is not good-looking, it"s so beautiful that it can take your breath away. I was shocked by its appearance that I have forgotten that my crossbow was raised. It kicked my crossbow out of my hand. I tried to punch it but its reflexes were good, it avoided my punch and caught my arm. It pulled me and grabbed me by my waist. We are standing so close to each other that I can feel its heavy breathing on my face. When it spoke, its voice came out raspy. "Sorry, but your tactic won"t work on me anymore."

I gritted my teeth. "Get your hands off me!" I said. "YOU ALIEN!" With that it released me. It looked at me like I said something so dumb. For a moment it stared at me then it laughed. It laughed so hard that it had to covered its tummy. I realized that I was staring at it because it"s cute. Its dimples showed when it laughed.

"What did you call me?" It said through its laugh.

"Alien," I stammer. "It"s what we called to someone t-t-that"s d-different." Its face changed. It turned from being happy to serious. In the blink of an eye, it turned happy again.

"I am not an alien," It said. "Yes, I may look different but I am not an alien. Besides, have you seen an alien before?" I shake my head. "See? You haven"t seen an alien before so how could you say that I am one of them?"

"But--" it cuts me off.

"Look, I am not an alien, I am a man. I am a HE and not an IT. HIM and not ITS." He seemed to be able to read my mind. "I cannot read your mind if that"s what your thinking. Your face shows it all." He looked around us.

"We are inside a cave, " I explain everything to him.

"So you"re saying that these warriors will kill me if they found me. Is that right?" I nodded. "Let them try." He sit back, relaxed.

"You are so full of yourself," I said.

"Nope," he said. "I am just trying to lighten the mood. Now, what"s for breakfast?" I didn"t think about that. I shot an eyebrow.

"What"s for YOUR breakfast. Do not include me. I"ve got a home." I said. "I only stayed because I need to take care of you since you saved me. Now, my debt has been paid. It"s time for us to part ways, bye." I get my crossbow. I was already walking out of the cave when Alien grabbed me by the arm. I face him. "What?!"

"But I"ve got no place to stay." He said.

"Not my problem anymore." I forced his hand away.

"I saved you," he said pleadingly.

"Took care of you," he"s following me. This is bad. If Micha sees him, I"ll be dead. I changed directions.

"Y-You said that t-the w-warriors are following me." I stop and turn. I put my hands on my hips.

"Scared?"

"What? No! Of course not! I don"t know this place." He pulls me toward him. "Listen, I thank you for taking care of me last night. But if it weren"t for me you should"ve died last night. You owe me your life so you have to make sure that I am alright until I get to know what"s going on."

I narrow my eyes at him. "What do you mean, until you know what"s going on?"

"Nothing. Never you mind," he said. He released me. "Don"t you think that"s a good deal to make?"

"No," I said. "I take care of you while you"re here but you have to teach me how to use this." I showed him his weapon. "I saw you last night. You used this to kill those warriors."

"How did you get that? You stole it from me?"

"More likely, borrowed. I was going to give it back to you but I changed my mind when you kicked my crossbow."

"Crossbow? Is that what you called your weapon?" I nodded. "Okay. Fine. Deal. Now return it to me."

"No," I said. "Not until I learn how to use this."

He blew out a shaky breath. "Just so you know, that weapon you"re holding is quite dangerous."

"That is why I need you to teach me how to use this." I recorded. Huh, do you think you can change my mind by threatening me? "Follow me."

"To where?"

"To somewhere in the middle of nowhere." He rolled his eyes.

Along the way, I realise that he keeps on stealing glances at me. "So Alien, what"s your name?"

"Raven." I stop walking. We are getting near my house. The trees are getting larger and bigger now. I can also hear the rush of water. I don"t know why but my heart skipped a beat. It"s like I heard that name before somewhere. My chest tightens, suddenly it"s hard to breathe. I can sense him approaching me. He touch my shoulder. Urgent but gentle. "Hey, are you okay?"

"Yea," I reply. "Yea, just, just a little dizzy I guess.HAHA,"

"We need to rest." He looks around. "We"ve walked so far already. I am sure you exhausted." He guides me to a tree. He let me sit. I watch him as he rummages inside his bag. "Here," he handed me a bottle of water. It seems like he came prepared. I drink in one gulp. I didn"t notice that I was so tired until now. "Are you sure that we took the right way? Because it"s easy to get lost in the woods."

"Yes, i-its near."

"Can you walk now?" I nodded. "Let"s go." He offered me his hand and I took it. I stumbled a little but he caught me. "Are you sure?"

"Yea," I said. I straighten up. We walk a little before I stop. "We"re here."

"I don"t see any house."

"That"s because it is underground." I crouch down and touch the leaves I used to cover my door. I felt around. I trace the door"s frame to make sure that we"ve reached the right destination. After that, I look for a stone.

"What are you doing?" He asks me.

I smirked at him. "Sometimes when you are an exile you have to be creative in making your own nest." I threw the stone to the small tree branch that I planted on the ground. The branch has a rope that is tied to it that is connected to my house"s door. That"s why when the branch pushes the rope will get lose and because the door is heavier, it will open. He doesn"t seem impressed by what I did. I cleared my throat. "Let"s go."

I first made my way inside. I landed on my feet. I heard a loud thump behind me, a signal that he"s made it.

"Someone"s here." He said suddenly.

"I know, I can feel it too." He pushed me behind him. He doesn"t seem scared instead he seemed excited. In the middle of the room, someone was seating on the chair. Its back was facing us. I was hoping to see Micha but I was wrong. She was someone I haven"t seen before.
