As years had past the family had aged. Kat was now 35, Libra was 37, Riley was 19, Willow and Misty were both 17 and little Connor was 6. The family never forgot their plan to take over the queen. As time went on they gathered people and fought in wars with other small kingdoms. Soon Kat and Libra were looked up as queens. People worshiped them. They didn"t want it of course but the people didn"t care. Kat did most of the fighting while Libra stayed back and did research. She also never told Kat about them being sisters. She wanted to but she knew it would set them back because they already gained so much trust on one another.Libra stood at her altar. The people of Wolfhound built Kat a huge home that stood at the top of the mountain. Libra however went to yet another cave and lived there. It was somewhat outside of the village but she didn"t care. She wanted no part of being queen.
"Hey.." Kat walked in. She didn"t look the same as before. She was wearing armor with a sword on her back. She also had but her hair to her shoulders. She thought it would get in the way of fighting.
Libra turned to her. She too had aged. She didn"t cut her hair like her sister but instead let it grow long until it touched the ground. She also stopped wearing shoes. She didn"t mind. She wanted to be close to nature as much as possible. "Good day" she walked past Kat and grabbed a book.
Kat watched her. "Well I just wanted to say hi before I left to go to another war. I wanted to make sure that everything was okay with you before setting off." she looked at the ground. The truth was she wanted to see L one last time. Just in case something happened.
"What about the kids?" Libra asked as she lay the book by the altar.
"As usually. Riley will stay at Alvina"s house and Willow and Misty will stay home with Connor" Kat picked up the book Libra had grabbed. "Love?" She smiled wondering what Libra was doing reading some love story.
Libra grabbed the book from her. "Its a love spell I"m making for a student." She started a cla.s.s at the college for young witches. It would help for the future when they go after the queen.
"Ah alright" Kat went to the door. "Well if you need me Ill be back soon" she sighed. "Good bye" She walked out.
Libra looked at the ground. She wanted to hug her sister. "Bye..." She knew if she showed any emotion at all to Kat she would know. She looked at the door. "Love you..." she turned back to the book an opened it.
Kat stood outside the cave. She looked in.
"Queen do you want us to make sure she is alright when you leave?" A tall man dressed in armor from head to toe asked as he walked to her. Two other men were on horses.
"Yes...please" Kat went to a horse and got on. "Please make sure she will be alright" She started to take off. She started to tear up. "Ill miss you..." Kat didn"t tell Libra that this war was different than the others before. The ones before were small but this time Kat went after a much bigger kingdom. One of the sand kingdoms. They were near Wolfhound. They were stealing food and killing innocents near Wolfhound.
"Queen what is the plan?" A knight asked as they stopped near some water. Usually they would ran through it but the water was too deep.
Kat looked around for a bridge but nothing was in site. "We"ll go through it" She ran very quickly through it. When she got to the other side she looked back at the knights. "Its safe. But be careful!" She yelled at them. They all nodded and went through it.
Kat and the knights ran through the trees until they approached a wall.
"This is where we will camp" Kat said getting off her horse.
The men got off but one.
Kat went to him. "Go back and lead the rest back here."
The man nodded and went back through the way they came from.
"Okay lets start setting up" Kat grabbed some leather from one of the bags on the horse.
At Noon~
Kat stood in her tent. The candle didn"t help at all. There was barley any light coming from it. She studied the map. She knew she had to make this attack excellent. If not she would let her people down. She sighed. "d.a.m.n.." she had noticed that there was an opening on the other side of the castle walls. "How could I have missed that..." Suddenly two tall men, in armor, walked in holding another man. They threw him to the ground.
"Mam we found him hiding above your tent." One of the guards said as he tighten his grip on the man.
Kat turned around. She studied the man. He was young. He didn"t look that old. Maybe 30. He had a scruffy beard. His hair was short than the other men around. He had brown dark hair that matched his eyes. Kat leaned down to him. "So who sent you? The queen? The king?"
The man smiled. "Why should I tell such a pretty la.s.s like you? You shouldn"t worry so much. You"ll create wrinkles on your forehead beautiful."
Kat rolled her eyes. "Nice, try to talk yourself out of this one." she stood. "Make sure you get as much information as you can out of him. And after throw him in the tent with guards around him. He goes no where"
The men nodded. They left with the man.
Kat went back to her map. "I"ll get you sooner or later sis" she stabbed the map with a knife. As she walked away it zoomed to the map. Where she stabbed was the kingdom her sister ruled.
