I can"t escape it. No matter how far or for how long I run, it WILL follow me.As I"m running along the side walk, the street starts to get more narrow and my vision got blurrier. It got to the point where I couldn"t see anything and I had to stop even though I really didn"t want to.
Then, out of nowhere, it started to snow. I mean, I know it snows in Australia but it"s December for goodness sake! Now, I feel like I"m just trapped in a horrible dream. A dream where I can"t wake up from and makes me feel physical pain.
I took one deep breath and continued on with the run. While I"m running, questions race through head such as,
"Where am I running to?"
Then it hit me.
When I was younger, my family and I had always gone to a cabin in the woods during the summer. When I was around 9 years old, I found a cave and decided, that cave would be my secret hide out and I put all sorts of supplies in it such as a first aid kit, water, food.
"Of course!" I thought to myself. "How could I not realized this sooner! I mean, I never told anyone about the hideout so I guess it"s a good spot! I think I"m in Sunset boulevard... I"m not that far away!"
I reached the cabin, go to my old room (in the cabin), and pull out a piece of paper, hidden in my closet underneath a floor board, with exact instructions on how to get to my hideout.
I sighed a sigh of relief. Some how, 9 year old me figured out how to write down coordinates even though I don"t remember ever learning about maps and what not when I was nine years old.
I took out my phone which had conveniently been with me the whole time and I thanked whatever supernatural ent.i.ty there was out there that I still had 98% of my phone"s battery left. After praying to those supernatural ent.i.ties, I opened the compa.s.s app on the phone and followed the coordinates.
Just as I had set off for the journey, thunder roared from up above and scared the c.r.a.p out of me. Did I fail to mention that I have a phobia of thunder and lightning? Like I said, it scares the c.r.a.p out of me.
Since I was so scared of thunder and lightning, I decided to delay my epic journey and hide under my old bed sheets.
I ran back into the cabin, and went into my room. Then, I proceeded to pulls down my blanket and hide underneath it.
After hiding underneath my blanket and repeating to myself, "everything is going to be alright", I finally calmed down and was able to a.n.a.lyze my situation.
"Alright," I thought to myself, "if some how n.o.body followed me here, then I should be good".
Unfortunately, that wasn"t true because just as I said those words, I heard footsteps coming from the attic and let me just tell you how STUPID I was for believing those footsteps were just thunder...
