After a slight rest, YeZheng started feeling better and slowly stood upon the ground of sand. The denim pants that she was wearing were still intact, or at least what had remained of it. With a breeze of the sea wind, her ripped up pants slapped her soaked legs, making it extraordinarily cold.

In a short distance, she found her beloved bow on the floor.

The bag that YeZheng used to carry the bow was already shredded into pieces, just like her pants. Lying there on the remains of the bag was her beloved bow, ‘Cold Light Hunter’.

YeZheng confirmed to herself again, not only does that big fish had sharp deadly claws, but also great strength.

The Nylon bag was made just for her to hunt in Canada. It costed her a large amount of money just to create this bag in order to protect her bow. Even after being clawed and bitten by the wild wolves, the bag did not even rip. But now, the once strong bag was ripped easily.

YeZheng closely inspected her bow, the pulley, the bowstring, the column, and every other small piece of the bow. She pulled the bowstring and finally confirmed to herself, ‘Cold Light Hunter’ didn’t take any damage. It looks like that fish didn’t have any interest in her bow, as she sighs in relief.

She then went on to collect all of the arrows that had been scattered around. The arrows were not in luck as they did not have a thick bag to protect them. Most of the arrows have been bent and broken, only leaving about seven or eight that were not damaged. The others had all been crushed from the middle.

YeZheng collected all of the remaining arrowheads and wrapped it around with the remains of the nylon bag. Then put the arrows in the wrecked quiver.

Until now, all she could think of was her weapon. Now that she had collected all of the parts of what had remained, she finally calmed down and put her attention on the unknown environment surrounding her.

YeZheng was standing on a small beach, the same place where she lied. Maybe that mermaid put her there.

She looked around and realized that the beach is extremely small. The ocean didn’t turn it into a large area of sand, instead it was covered in reef.

YeZheng saw that a few meters away from sh.o.r.e, there was a huge tree. This tree looked like a Coconut tree so presumably, she was on an unknown island. Also, she thought that if there are coconut trees, this place must be in a tropical area, meaning that it should be quite close to where the cruise had been.

YeZheng thought about the friends that had been with her and could only feel depressed and empathy. Although transferred to this school not long ago, she was still very close with the cla.s.smates that had gone on this trip with her. YeZheng really hoped that others are like her, alive, even though she knows how low the chances are.

YeZheng slowly walked towards a hill that lead to a forest. She didn’t know how long she had been unconscious but all she knows now is that she is very dehydrated. She tried finding drinkable water and the coconuts were the best choice.

When YeZheng stood below the huge coconut tree, she stared at it, confused. The coconuts on this tree is not what normal coconuts are like. The circular structure was not even a smooth sphere but more like a durian, covered in spikes, revealing an uncomfortable purple-black colour.

Is this…… a new type? Or are these not even coconuts? YeZheng is very confused.

YeZheng thought for a long time, but still concluded and pulled out her bow, aiming for the closest fruit, and shot.

After missing two times, the heavy fruit fell and smashed the floor, breaking some of its thick armoured skin.

After YeZheng picked up her arrows, she went to examine this huge fruit.

The skin was very hard. Luckily it shattered after falling down. Inside, it revealed the white pulp. YeZheng shook the fruit and felt the liquid inside.

YeZheng excitingly used an arrowhead and cut open the pulp, but what surprised her was that the opening did not leak the normal white, transparent liquid, but a moist green pulp.

            Is this even edible?

She looked at the fruit unfortunately as its green pulp leaked out with black seeds. Licking the side of her dried mouth, she put the fruit down and repentantly stood up. Maybe if she went deeper in the forest, she might find a something she knows well.

But except for this unknown fruit, she could not find any other. The forest seemed huge so she did not want to enter without preparation.

It looks like the only thing she could eat were the birds.

After her belly growled again, YeZheng finally decided on her dinner.

As she walked across the sh.o.r.e, a white bird flew across. The bird seemed familiar, it was a seagull with a red beak.

In the beginning, the sea, the birds, the bright sunlight, and the forest was all a beautiful part of a beautiful painting. She thought that the birds were also rather cute. But now, all she was thinking was how to stop the hunger.

YeZheng used her bow and quickly hit a one, but the moment that bird was in her hands, she realized that neither did she have fire, nor did she have anything to make fire. Is she supposed eat it raw?

Finally, YeZheng could not hold it longer. She used an arrowhead and cut out one bit of the meat. It came out whilst spilling blood everywhere. Closing her eyes, she forced the meat into her mouth. A salty, fishy taste began to spread along her taste buds. YeZheng could not hold it but to spit it out.

Of course that wouldn’t work, she thought as she wiped the blood across her lips. The taste of the raw bird made her disgusted. She would have vomited if her stomach was not empty.

Right after this moment, she heard a small sound.

YeZheng cautiously took out her bow and arrow and aimed for that direction.

A crustacean about half a meter was holding a crab and crawling across the sh.o.r.e.

Was that a lobster? YeZheng looked at this creature with purple and red skin with confusion. This creature crawled around like some happy thing. She thought again, raw lobsters can have this kind of beautiful red colour?

As she was staring at it, the lobster returned back into the ocean. YeZheng sighed with regret and put the bow and arrow down. She should have just shot it first and then considered if it was edible.

At this moment something came flying from the ocean and it landed right in front of YeZheng.

She was shocked and locked her eyes on the creature.

It was the huge lobster from just then! Obviously, the sh.e.l.l was split in half revealing the beautiful colour of the meat. The head and tail were all removed. Although the lobster was still slightly moving and sprinkled with a little sand, it looked beautiful and very appetizing.

            YeZheng gulped her saliva down….
