His eyes were fixed on the direction where Soumya was coming. She was like a queen in this elegant wedding dress. Her eyes were shining like diamonds as her smile reached in them. She was happy. She was living the happiest moment in her life.
He couldn"t take off of his eyes from her. The smiling G.o.ddess was going to be his within few minutes. A contented smile reached on his lips but it turned into a sullen face when the wheelchair came to his view.
He suddenly hopped off from the mandap and paced towards her. Sumi and her mother was beside her. They exchanged glances in confusion as he was coming towards them. Before Soumya could even inquire him, he took her in bridal style and carried her to the mandap. He did not like to make her as a handicap before others.
Wedding rituals began one by one. His eyes were on her all the time as he was seeing her for the first time while her eyes were cast down because of his intense gaze. When the time came for the saat phere he took her in his arms and completed the seven rounds while promising his each vows. After they"re declared as husband and wife by the priest they were asked to take theirs seat. He placed the mangalsutra on her neck and applied the vermillion on her head part.i.tion. A lone tear rolled on her cheek while thanking G.o.d for giving a husband like him.
He wiped her tears and cooed in her ear, "Don"t cry Mrs. Arun Verma. It"s our wedding. You should be happy."
She smiled, "Sorry."
"Here you go again!" He said shaking his head.
Arun called Sumi and Raj in a room. He said he wanted to say something before bid their goodbyes. Soumya also with them. Raj and Sumi were confused.
"Everything went well. So what I am thinking is, why don"t you guys reveal your lie." Arun suggested. Sumi and Raj looked at each other as the word "lie" caught their ears. Their face paled.
"I know you guys have some hesitancy to tell. Well, I would like to do the honor." Soumya looked up her cunning husband. He was h.e.l.l-bent on bringing a fight here.
"I am the real one who used to chat with your sister, Soumya." He dropped the bomb between the lovely couple. Before Sumi could register his words, Raj jumped in.
"Soumya?" Raj turned to Sumi, perplexed.
Arun snorted a laugh, "What? Are you shocked? You did the same then why did you wear that innocent expression." Raj lowered his head before Sumi"s scrutinizing eyes. "You both took our places and played it very well. Now it"s time to end."
"Thank G.o.d!" Raj sighed in relief. "Now I don"t want to feel guilty. You also lied to me. So now we are even." Sumi couldn"t digest the truth all of a sudden.
"Arun, so you are the right one? Then, Raj came?" Sumi inquired.
"That he will tell you himself. Give him a chance to justify his side." Raj was shooting daggers at him for revealing the truth unexpectedly.
"But the most important thing is....actually I don"t have any problem because he is my best friend. Perhaps it will affect you." Arun dropped it little by little as making her impatient.
"Raj, what is he talking?"
"Trust me, baby. I am gonna tell you that sooner or later." Raj try to hold her hand but she took it back.
"Arun, is there anything more you want to tell me other than we cheated on each other using yours names?" Sumi snapped.
"Yeah! A big truth is still hidden. He not only took my name but also my ident.i.ty." Sumi stared at him as he continued, "I am the real CEO of billion dollars worth company in New York. And I own everything he claimed as him." Sumi felt the earth under her feet was shaking. "Simply your husband is not a billionaire." He shot the arrow straight to her heart.
"It is not his fault born as a billionaire." Arun concluded.
Sumi stared at him, too shocked to speak. She was thunderstruck. Raj called shaking her. He did not know how she was going to respond to him. One thing for sure she would not forgive him soon. Soumya held Arun"s hand worried about her sister. She knew what a shock would inflict on her sister by the news. Raj once again called her. As a reflex his face turned to other side when a tight slap landed on his face.
"I am your husband?" He couldn"t believe what she did. She looked hurt and angry at the same time.
Soumya was expecting this. This was the least thing she could do to her husband otherwise she would have killed him with bare hands for shattering her dreams.
"I did not slap you for lying to me. I did slap you for hiding it from me and making me a fool. That"s why I slapped you." Sumi cried.
"You deserve it." Arun stated. Soumya beckoning him to stop.
"Don"t be angry, honey," Raj caught her hands try to convince her. "Yes, I admit it. I did hide a big truth from you. Because I don"t want to lose you."
"Did you think me as a heartless gold-digger? Huh? Did you think me as one, Raj?" He did not say anything. "You could have told me before our marriage."
"Sorry, Sumi. I thought you would stop the marriage when you knew I am not a billionaire." Raj said.
"Yes I wished to marry a billionaire but that doesn"t make sense I won"t give a d.a.m.n about love and relationships. Did you see me that stoop low?" Soumya wanted to console her. She knew her sister loved him more than anything.
"Baby, please...." Raj closed the distance between them. He hugged her. He even felt bad for making her a buffoon all time.
Arun turned to his wife, "They are husband and wife we don"t want to be stay in between them. They will sort out everything. Let"s go, shall we?" Soumya gave him a nod while looking up to the bickering couple.

Arun and Soumya came to his mansion. She was quite sad to leave her parents. It"s the first time she was going to leave without them. Since then he was consoling her.
Arun was carrying her to their bedroom while she was looking everywhere in awestruck. Never in her entire life she had placed her foot a mansion and that too as a daughter-in-law.
"Arun, it is awesomely beautiful!" She blurted out. Arun smiled seeing her amazement.
"Indeed it is a palace." She added.
"Now you became the queen of this palace." He planted a kiss on her temple.
"You don"t have to carry me always. You can put me on wheelchair." She suggested out of the blue.
"I did not bring that G.o.d-d.a.m.n thing here."
"Why? You should have to," she said.
She was right. He could not take her in his arms.
"You don"t need one when I am with you. I will carry you always in my arms."
"That is not possible. You will be tired and moreover you can not be with me always."
"If I get tired, you should give me energy." He dipped his head and peck her lips. "Like this," her eyes were wide like soccer while her cheeks turned red.
He placed her on the bed and took a remote, "See this b.u.t.ton, if you want anybody"s help just press the b.u.t.ton the maids will be at your call. You can do this from anywhere in this home."
Soumya looked down at the remote, "You had to take a lot of effort for me."
"Taking care of my wife is not any effort. It"s my love."
"Thank you."
"I will be back." He kissed her temple and walked out.
In the night, as if any newly wedded girl she was sitting on the bed waiting for her husband. Her nervousness touched its peak but she wanted to give him what he deserves tonight.
She whipped her head when she heard the door opened. There he was standing with a smile on his face. He had changed his dress to a shirt and pants and so did she. Two maids helped her to wear another lehenga and did her hair and make up for their special night.
He sat beside her and put a finger under her chin, "You"re looking gorgeous."
She averted her eyes from him, "Thank you!"
He could feel her nervousness. He cupped her face, "Soumya, don"t worry. I won"t force you for anything. We can take everything slowly."
But she shook her head, "No, Arun. It"s our wedding night. I want to give you myself. This is the least I can do."
"No, Soumya. You are the best thing I could ever get. Yes, I want too but you are not ready for this. I want to make it special, not like this." He reasoned out.
"Because I am a handicap?" He stared at her, "I am woman. I have wishes too like everyone. I know you want this too. Your eyes say but you stopped yourself because I am not physically well--" her words died in her throat as he claimed her lips for a pa.s.sionate kiss.
"Never say you are a handicap." He warned. She was astonished by his sudden attack. He pulled her to his lap, "You really want me to do." He asked caressing her cheeks.
She nodded. "Make me yours, Arun. I want to be all yours." She said pushing aside her all nervousness and fear. She wanted to make him happy.
As her wish he made love to her. They became one forever. They made this night together to remember always.
