Earlier that day...

"My 7th sense tells me there"s something else you wanna say," Flora said as she peered into me.

After getting the Beatrice drama settled, it was time to talk about me.

Flora"s 6th sense usually detected her husband"s horniness and her 7th sense detected her best friend"s panic.

"And here I was thinking it was just my hormones out of place. Tell us quick," Claudia added.

"I think I"m in love with Quincy. No, I love him, I fell in love with him already."

The girls looked at me like I hadn"t said anything special.

"So... what"s the real problem?" Their confused expressions made me confused also. I just declared my feelings for my boyfriend, what was the problem with that? What was this strange feeling I had? Why was I feeling so fl.u.s.tered?

"Do you guys think I have what it takes to handle an older guy?"

There it was... I finally put it out there. My heart felt so much better.

"An older guy is a guy too. Don"t worry, it"ll all come naturally to you," Claudia pacified.

"You have Quincy wrapped around your fingers. Don"t tell me you dont know this?" Flora looked at me without batting her eyes.

"I wouldn"t say he"s wrapped around my fingers. He simply adores me. But I can"t help but feel that someone s.e.xier and older would slip between us and take him from me," I said in a small voice.

After the silence washed over, someone finally said something.

"And you"ll let him go without putting up a fight? That"s not the Summer I know. You are just worried for naught. He loves you, and you love him. The rest should be discussed between the two of you," said Flora.

"I"m already full. Any more dog food from you and I"ll collapse from overfeeding," Claudia said jokingly.

They were right. Quincy was mine, and even if someone came between us, I wouldn"t let go off him without a fight, as long as he held onto me too. I needed to confirm his feelings for me as soon as possible.

Reaching home and seeing his broad back gave me comfort. I wanted to so badly rely on him and that was exactly what I did. I moved with him as he moved around the kitchen. He talked about meeting up with Jazz in the afternoon and working on tech stuffs after that. He had cornflakes for lunch because he wasn"t feeling all that hungry. He watched Phineas and Ferb when he missed me. I was the Isabella to his Phineas. We talked about everything, and it felt so good listening to his calm baritone voice.

I watched TV just to distract my attention from today"s girl talk. I didn"t want to look desperate in front of him. I wanted to be calm and collected when I confessed to him.

His intense stare made me feel a bit guilty.

"Did he sense something off?" I couldn"t help asking myself.

"Let"s go on a date this weekend. I"ll bring you somewhere beautiful."

What a perfect opportunity presented to me on a platter of gold; a perfect destination for a perfect confession. I bet the place would be as lovely as he claimed it to be.

"Really?" My excitement couldn"t be hidden.

"Really. You"re gonna love it."

Maybe it was his cool voice or maybe it was the bad habit formed from teasing each other always, my mouth leaked before my head could process.

"Not as much as I love you."

I was shocked listening to myself confess abruptly. At the end of the day, my mouth was more honest than my head.

I felt heat starting to spread from my neck all the way to my face.

How could I let him see how fl.u.s.tered I was? I stood up and dashed to my room before he could recover from his shock.
