Lila didn"t want to look at him anymore, so she turned her head to look at the scenery. Why is this man so shameless? Now she will have to figure out a way to delay the "night activities." Still, Lila peered back over to get a look at Haruka"s face; he seems so happy. It surprised her how well this day was going too. When was the last time they pa.s.sed a day without things going wrong? Lila couldn"t remember it now; it felt so foreign. Maybe it was when they were in London. Back when they were over there, they could relax.
Whenever he showed up after a long day of work without her, she usually finished up training before him so she would wait for him at home. Despite being tired, he would still have dinner with her and occasionally help her out with it despite being bad at it. He would even compliment her cooking. Afterward, they would cuddle on the couch for a bit and talk about their day, and if they were too tired, they"d make out. That would usually lead to them having s.e.x. Lila would like to say they waited until they got upstairs. But well, Haruka"s never cared much for location. If that didn"t happen after dinner, it would occur at night before they sleep.
She would wake up sore all over, either in Haruka"s arms or him in her arms. He would fit perfectly into her arms like a child. She felt so happy, but at some point, that happiness started to feel like an addiction. Without Karas.h.i.+ma Haruka, what would become of her? She"s become so reliant on him if she didn"t have him what would happen? She"s gotten used to him being by her side. It"s not like when she was dating Kiryu, where they would separate for a few hours before seeing each other. Some days go without seeing each other. With Haruka, they were always together. Her whole life since she left Star Town, revolved around this man. For her to leave him, she"s never thought of it.
Haruka held her tightly, "What"s wrong?"
"The thought of leaving you never crossed my mind once. But why is it you and everybody else keep repeating it?" Lila didn"t want to beat around the bush on this matter. Since she came back, she"s had countless talks with people who keep repeating the same things to her. Things like when will she get back together with Kiryu. What speech she should say to Haruka, "It"s annoying."
Haruka paused before he said, "They are only saying that because of your previous relations.h.i.+p. You loved Austin Kiryu so much, and you never wanted to break up. People suspect you still have feelings, and what we had was only temporary," it was clear to her that it was painful for Haruka to say such words.
"You"re not the one who was dumped," Lila interrupted, "Do you know how hurt I was? Even though I cried and begged nothing. Kiryu didn"t change his mind. If you love somebody so much, why would you let them go? I don"t doubt his feelings for me; I know he did it for my sake and all. However, it was not the right move. I"m still a young girl, imagine the man who I"ve been together with since childhood and the one I promised to be with suddenly dumps me out of nowhere. ..." Just thinking about it made her sick, all the memories from back then flooded her head and it all came back. The pain and agony she felt when Kiryu left her.
She tried to take her mind off things; she did whatever she could so she wouldn"t remember. But every time Lila saw Kiryu on TV, she would crumble and break down. During that time, Haruka said nothing to her, but he would remain by her side. After her break down sessions, he would, wrap his arms around her and hold her tightly.
"I was hurt, and I felt abandoned. Austin Kiryu was my whole life since I was four years old. He was there for me during the most painful period of my life, but he left me. He abandoned me too," she trailed off and turned around to face Haruka, "But, it"s not like that with you. No matter what happened, you never left my side. Even when things were difficult, even during the years we were apart you"d come to see me even if I didn"t know. You were always there for me. And when we met again, you were the first to recognize. The first to approach me, you never left me Haruka."
"I see, I get it," Haruka murmured and held her tighter, "I get it, but don"t get too mad at your friends okay? They mean well, I"m glad I"m so important to you Lila. And no matter what happens, I"ll always be here for you."
Lila stepped on his foot then; he still doesn"t get it. What does he mean by that last line? What is going to happen? She will never leave him, no matter what happens.
"Don"t be sulky," he nuzzled his face on her cheek, "Yeah?"
"I"m just annoyed. I guess I just have to show you how much I love you every day."
Haruka laughed, "I see, well, I"ll leave you to that."
Lila pouted, he"s not taking her seriously.
...
Haruka leads her towards the forest; Lila didn"t question where he was taking her. While she knew these parks, she seldom came here in the past and didn"t know what was on the other end. Still, in most situations like this wouldn"t the girl cling to the guy since it"s far too dark here?
"Haruka, maybe I should start acting scared."
Haruka smiled, "And cling tightly to me?"
"Oh, so he was thinking it," Lila thought. She clung on to his arm and stayed silent. How does she act afraid of something? She isn"t scared of the dark. She"s been surrounded by darkness her whole life, so pretending to be afraid of it, is difficult. It"s during situations like this where Lila wished she was like a normal girl. Then again, if she were a normal girl, she wouldn"t have caught Haruka"s interest. She would just be one of many girls in the crowd. So perhaps things are better this way.
She turned to Haruka and saw him stare at her with a warm expression on his face, and Lila looked away. Forget trying to make her scared; he will succeed more in making her nervous. Why is he looking at her with that kind of expression?
