After spending that lovely moment with his wife in the morning. Haruka felt refreshed and could work efficiently for the rest of the day. While he wanted to remain and watch her, he had his own work to do.Quite some time has pa.s.sed since he recorded a song. When he first entered the entertainment industry, he tried singing for awhile. But that quickly vanished.
His eyes widened when he saw somebody familiar by the fountain. "Ah, my wife."
"Lila." Haruka called out.
"Hubby! I bought it." She took out a familiar CD from her bag.
"You didn"t have to."
Lila smiles and her cheeks turned a rosy red color. "I can"t help it after all. As I thought, I really do love your singing."
His eyes widened when he recalled the words Kiryu said to him not too long ago. That"s right, from the very start she always showed him such a bright expression whenever he sings.
"I see. Thank you very much. " Haruka trails off. "I appreciate it. But the song isn"t ranking well.."
Lila pulled out her phone, which showed the rankings.
"I know. But a position like this is fine. Because what is more important is the message and feelings behind the songs. Even though it"s like this, I am sure you conveyed your feelings."
"Convey feelings huh? The only reason I decided to sing again is because of you idiot."
"What about you? Did the message get to you?"
"Yes. I heard it loud and clear." Lila trails off. "Haruka, you already knew didn"t you? That the me from back then didn"t understand love let alone be in a relations.h.i.+p. Rather than have no interest in it it was because I couldn"t understand it. Feelings of affection of any kind, and other people"s kindness. It was only natural for people to think that I was being cruel to them. I would have thought the same. Even though I really liked Kiryu then and wanted to make him happy. All I could do was the cause the one I cared about to suffer. The same went for all of you, interfering with all your lives to the extent that I did. I should not have done so."
One word come to anybody"s mind if they listened to this. It would be "cruel." Because those words she is saying right now can easily be translated to. "If I hadn"t intervened so much, then you would not have had to fall in love with me."
Even though to him and most likely the case for the others falling in love with Terashkma Lila was more of a blessing than a curse. It appears as though she never thought of it that way. "Even now she continues to blame herself."
"I never once thought of your actions as being selfish. Because in the end you were doing it for the sake of another person." Haruka interjected. He does not want to see this lonely back.
That"s right, not once did he think she was being selfish. After all if she had not intervened so much in their lives then - then they wouldn"t be together.
Also by now they would still be restricting themselves to roles that they do not want to do. Kiryu being the heir to his company, Tachibana Ameno permanently being a poster boy for his.
Kouki Kou sticking with his restaurant business rather than focus on music. The same goes for Nakara s.h.i.+chiro, who would have ended up pursing
As well as Senbi, Iwa Eijiro and Ichinose Oujiro who would have most likely not admitted their love for music, let alone think of being an idol.
"Thank you but I was being selfish. "
"Even if that was the case, you did it for the sake of another person. Lila I told you before didn"t I? " It looks like you"re having so much fun. But the world of music is not as simple as you make ot out to be. Even if you have friends you have to remember that they are your rivals too." I didn"t think that you understood it at all and truly believed that you were being naive. But even when the time came where you competed against each other, you did not flinch at all. I guess I expressed my interest towards you then in the open."
It was because she differed from all the others that he couldn"t keep his eyes away from her.
"Aha." Lila chuckles softly. "It is rare seeing you so honest. It feels kinda strange."
"But I am telling nothing but the truth right now. Although I called you naive truthfully speaking, I became interested in you not too right after you composed that song with Alto. " How is that a girl who is so carefree and laid back can write such a song?" I could not approve of it and yet I couldn"t deny how much I was captivated with your songs.
The words Kiryu told me then, I"m sure you know by now. Back then, I couldn"t free myself from the shackles of the dark side of the entertainment industry. It may be because I entered it at such a young age but along the way the feelings of "having fun" and "making people happy" slowly disappeared. It didn"t take me long to realise that the reason why I called you "naive" was because it was familiar.
The way you were back then was similar to how I was when I first entered the industry. Every day was fun, and I was happy that I could write my own songs. However, the more popular I became I gradually became incapable of writing my own songs. The people around me too changed when I became popular and did not let me write my own songs. " Use this track" " This sort of beat is more popular" " the songs you write are outdated and won"t sell millions. " After hearing all that I thought to myself, so that"s it. It doesn"t matter then if I write these feelings down."
Even if it doesn"t come from his heart. Even if he has to use other people"s music with his lyrics. Before he knew it, everything became pitch black and he used a ghostwriter for his lyrics too. Everything was a complete mess back then and he really was on the verge of completely giving up music. " If it"s not perfect it won"t sell."
So he researched what was considered popular, sent the ideas in and his ghost writer and composer would write something for him. Despite how far gone he was back then, he could easily identify the trends and patterns in his songs.
"The writer from before must have been fired. I was getting used to his melodies too." He could tell instantly, the difference in his writers and composers, whether they are male or female and what traits and habits they have when writing songs.
That was why when he stumbled upon Teras.h.i.+ma Lila"s melodies, Haruka knew that hers belonged to a completely different world than anything he saw before.
"So music became superficial for you? I see, I suppose that makes more sense now. " A strong gust of wind blows and the brunette lifts her stray hair away from her face and tucks it behind her ear.
Just that simple action alone had a hint of gracefulness.
"Beautiful."
He thought so before in middle school; but now that they have grown up. It really has become more apparent. It really does feel as though if they don"t hurry up, she will leave them behind again. But even more than that feeling, he wants to treasure small moments he can spend with her like this.
