Chapter 6079: Unnecessary
Nearby crowd members could tell that these apex emperors were about to fight and smartly retreated. Just the tiniest of shockwaves could reduce them to blood.
“Emperors shouldn’t speak of war so trivially.” A calm voice interrupted the tense atmosphere like an old man offering wise advice and soothing the aggression in their heart.
“The well-being of everyone should be our priority. A war between Immortal Suppression and Dynasty will rage for years and cause untold suffering. That is not the way of the emperors but if you cannot let go of your grievance, a spar should suffice. Escalation is unnecessary.” He continued, able to soothe the most arrogant and furious listeners.
“The feud is between Fellow Daoist Disaster and Yangrune, a spar between them will suffice. Bloodsparrow, you need not get involved.” He suggested.
Everyone listened attentively including the domineering Bloodsparrow and the arrogant Disaster.
“Tranquility, that’s Tranquility Emperor!” A big shot shouted.
The speaker never appeared but still commanded everyone’s attention. His t.i.tle struck them like lightning. Some had the urge to kneel in the direction of the voice. Other emperors and desolate G.o.ds paid their respect with a slight bow.
Tranquility had a similar position in Immortal Suppression as Endlaw in Enigma. He was respected by both friends and foes alike.
Rumor has it that he was the second oldest in the dynasty, Immortal Suppressor being the first.
He partic.i.p.ated in numerous expeditions and contributed to Dingtian’s cause. Because of this, he earned the privilege of being taught by Dingtian and was currently on the limit path.
Many believed he was the next primal ancestor in Sin. However, his power was not why he was respected.
Immortal Suppressor was the strongest while he was the most respected. This was because he grew to hate war during his later years.
Perhaps this was due to seeing too many cases of death so he removed himself from the battlefield.
While Immortal Suppression was in charge, he pardoned many kingdoms previously deemed as descendants of sinners and enemies of the dynasty. Thus, his leaders.h.i.+p heralded peace and prosperity to Sin.
Immortal Suppression rarely mobilized or attacked any kingdom, choosing to recuperate instead. This was the reason why Enigma was able to rise again.
In the past, it was a cycle of war between Enigma and Immortal Suppression, the former being destroyed several times only to come back again. Although there existed an alliance between Phantom and Immortal Suppression, battles still occurred between the two when Immortal Suppression wanted to display their dominance.
Therefore, Sin truly appreciated Tranquility’s pacifistic stance and grew considerably. The lack of war and death allowed sects and kingdoms to focus on cultivation.
Tranquility was able to control the behemoth that was Immortal Suppression and stuck true to his t.i.tle.
Unfortunately, since he was on the limit path, he had no choice but to excuse himself from the stage, handing authority back to others.
With him gone, the fierce behemoth revealed its fangs again, once again hunting sinners and dissidents.
For example, Yangrune and Bloodsparrow were afraid of nothing, preparing to battle over a minor disagreement with no regard for the realm.
“Is Tranquility Emperor returning?” A big shot who had lived during the peaceful era was moved to tears.
These last-gen cultivators cherished the memory of when they could train without worrying about the future.
Although enlightenment from spectating top-level battles was not possible, it was far better than the alternative. His return was welcomed by everyone including younger cultivators who have only heard stories.
