Chapter 393: A Sudden Situation That Could Not Be Suppressed
“Did someone become immortal?”
“They don’t seem to be a successor of Dao traditional or a daemon cultivator, or a disciple from a Buddha sect or Demonic Sect...”
Those divine minds were gone in a flash, however, as if they had never appeared.
Meanwhile, Jiang He focusing on condensing his Heavenly Immortal Dao and was unaware of what had happened outside at all.
Of course... he did not have to be aware either.
Would he have to worry about immortal sects, demonic sects, and daemon cultivators or any factions general that bore a grudge against him?
Certainly not.
At the very least, with a full-fledged Heavenly Immortal in Hu Mei, those sects would never beat her even if they combined forces right now.
Then, around another half an hour later...
Ooom!
The Dao presence around Jiang He’s body stirred once again and his aura shot up by several notches as he successfully condensed his second Heavenly Immortal Dao.
Around him, the eyes of the lurking elites were almost dropping out.
That was especially the case for the Mahayana elites from the eight sects that now bore a grudge against Jiang He. Right now, they had gathered, with the Unbounded Demon Sect’s growling, “Impossible! This is impossible! I’ve sent my disciples amongst the commoners to find out details about Jiang He—that brat is only in his twenties and was anonymous just half a year ago... and he only started out as an average martial artist with an average cultivation around four months ago!”
“Around three months ago, he condensed his Golden Pellet near the Taixu Sect’s mountain archway on Mount Kunlun, weathering the Four Lesser Retributions of the Nine Heavens and slaying a lesser beast at the tier of Daemon Pellet... and now, he has condensed his Immortal Dao just three months later? No such devil exists in this world! It is unheard of even in ancient times, and not even reincarnations of superior beings could match his cultivation progress!”
There was silence in the room.
Then, someone mentioned the Black Bear Spirit of the Thousand Cavern Mountain.
It was the Mahayana elite from the Blood Demon Sect. “I’ve captured a daemon cultivator from the Thousand Cavern Mountain. It’s one of the Black Bear Spirit’s descendants, and after I casted a secret technique using its blood essence I extracted, I found out that the Black Bear Spirit is dead.”
The others appeared unmoved, having clearly expected that.
On the other hand, the Mahayana elite from the Unbounded Demon Sect took a long look at the Blood Demon Sect elite, smiling as he asked, “It seems that you have not only found out that the Black Bear Spirit is dead, but also the specific location where he died... does this means that the treasures of the Thousand Cavern Mountain have been claimed by the Blood Demon Sect?”
“Watch your tongue, brother. My secret technique is flawed and the divination is not so precise.”
But even as they spoke, Jiang He’s third Heavenly Immortal Dao was condensed, and his aura strengthened once again. Hence, the many Mahayana elites who had just calmed down were almost going to curse someone’s mother.
Other Mahayana elites had lived for thousands of years, and would only condense their first Heavenly Immortal Dao after becoming immortal. While prodigious devils with powerful disposition could condense two or three Immortal Dao in a short time, said ‘short time’ meant days and weeks.
Condensing three Heavenly Immortal Dao in four hours? What sort of logic was that?
Someone then looked out and quietly murmured, “What fruit is Jiang He eating? That fruit must have something to do with how he can condense his Immortal Dao so quickly... Look, he’s eating again.”
As the many elites conversed through telepathy, the Green Scale Dragon King of Shennonjia stared tightly at the Thunder Dao Fruit which Jiang He was holding and said, “That fruit resembles a divine relic that appears in the bloodline memories of my kind.”
“Oh?”
“Green Scale Dragon King, you know the origin of that fruit?” Someone asked.
The Green Scale Dragon King flashed a pained smile and shook his head. “I’m not sure. I could only say that it resembles that divine relic, which was born amidst thunderstorms. It’s called the Thunder Dao Fruit, a crystallization of Thunder Dao that is extremely rare... but how did Jiang He come to possess so many?”
That was why the Green Scale Dragon King only mentioned that the fruit resembled the Thunder Dao Fruit of legends.
And yet, just as he spoke, up in the skies...
Burp...
Jiang He could not help burping from a full stomach, perhaps because he had too many Thunder Dao Fruits.
He was human after all, and it could not be more normal that he would burp after he had eaten his fill.
But the problem here was that a flashing thunderbolt shot out of his mouth when he burped, striking a Mahayana cultivator hiding fifty kilometers away and sending him flying and coughing blood, leaving him charred and almost killing him right there.
The Green Scale Dragon King was dumbstruck.
How was that not Thunder Dao Fruit?
Most importantly, were Thunder Dao Fruits not supposed to be divine relics?
Wasn’t it supposed to be extremely rare, or were his bloodline memories mistaken?

Meanwhile, Jiang He ‘watched’ as his Sea of Qi turned from illusory to solid, and could not help sigh earnestly just as he was about to fully condense his fourth Heavenly Immortal Dao.
“Life is so hard!”
“Back when I first cultivated immortal arts, I ate so many cuc.u.mbers every day until I almost vomited.”
“And now that I’m trying to ascend to immortal, I’ve eaten 150 Thunder Dao Fruits in three days, and I’m almost getting sick of it...”
Jiang He had planted a total of forty-five Thunder Dao Fruit Trees. Ten Thunder Dao Fruits would grow on each tree, making it a grand total 450 Thunder Dao Fruits... Jiang He estimated he could condense up to forty Heavenly Immortal Dao if he did not rest and cultivate with the remaining 300 Thunder Dao Fruits, but it was such an extensive process that would take at least seven days!
Moreover, eating Thunder Dao Fruits for seven days straight?
It was frightening to even think about it. He should resort to slow but fulfilling cultivation, and he just had to extend the seven-day period up to a month.
As he withdrew his aura, the phenomenon in the skies faded, and the Spirit Qi which had been raging over thousands of miles slowly calmed down.
He had just landed when faint immortal might swirled around him, and he offered a fist-palm salute across every direction with a smile. “Brothers and sisters. I, Jiang He, have just become immortal. Please understand that I would have to confine myself to stabilize my cultivation, so I won’t be receiving everyone.”
In other words...
He was sending his guests away.
The likes of w.a.n.g Hou and Jin Sidao aside, what do those b*stards hiding themselves intend, watch me become immortal in secret?
At Jiang He’s words, the people who had been hiding all showed up and congratulated Jiang He or greeted him before leaving at once—even the people from the eight faction offered some courteous good wishes.
Those were words that cost nothing after all.
In their perspective, Jiang He was going to die... so what if he ascended to Heavenly Immortal?
His death was a.s.sured when the immortals returned.
The others left as well, while Jin Sidao, w.a.n.g Hou, as well as members of the Taixu Sect and the Jiuhua Sect remained. They came up to Jiang He, offering their congratulations and fist-palm salute before leaving, with Jin Sidao and w.a.n.g Hou staying behind.
Jiang He appeared taken aback and asked, “Weren’t you hurrying back for an instant enlightenment, Minister w.a.n.g? Why have you returned?”
Monkey’s uncle!
You caused such a huge commotion when you become immortal! How am I supposed to be ‘instantly enlightened’ now?!
Still, w.a.n.g Hou smiled faintly. “It is naturally worth witnessing you become immortal, and something like instant enlightenment could wait... honestly, you didn’t even give me a heads up that you were becoming immortal—I could have informed the many elites across the nation to come as well.”
Oh?
Jiang He chuckled.
Instant enlightenment could wait?
Are you showing off with me now?
Jiang He would usually brag in return with such a situation, and so he simply laughed reluctantly with a helpless look, shaking his head and sigh, “It’s not like I won’t give a head’s up, the problem here is that it happened all of a sudden... After you left, I was just snacking on a fruit when I suddenly started ascending to immortal before I could finish it, and there was no holding it back.”
“What’s with that look, Minister w.a.n.g?”
“What, would I lie to you? Ask Brother Jin if you don’t believe me—he was with me when it happened.”
Beside them, Jin Sidao nodded and added seriously, “That’s right. That was what happened.”
