Chapter 450: Jin Sidao Becomes Immortal
Jiang He headed inside the Farm right away after returning home.
As he was in a hurry to give w.a.n.g Hou his medicine, he had yet to harvest the immortal crystals he planted before.
But after he was done with his harvest, he did not even need to speak out for Dumbo, Trumbo, the nine Wise Rock Monkeys, and the Seven Bottle Gourd Brothers to start planting the next batch, which left Jiang He laughing...
Were these beasts taking over his job?
Without anything to do, he had to kill time by having his seven fairy maidens sing and dance.
He went off to Lingzhou City later to shop and have dinner with w.a.n.g Siyu.
Soon, a few more days had pa.s.sed.
It was one in the afternoon.
Jiang He had just woken up and was heading downstairs when Dumbo ran to him saying, “A young cultivator has just arrived outside. He asked to meet you, saying that he is a disciple of the Ten Thousand Swords Sect, and he carries the Ten Thousand Swords Daoist’s jade charm.”
“Oh?”
Jiang He was surprised.
A young cultivator?
He washed up before going outside to find a youth, who was a rank-eight Qi Refinist.
He was around eighteen and was dressed like a disciple of the Ten Thousand Swords Sect. It was obvious that he was one of the new disciples recruited with permission from w.a.n.g Hou after they donated their secret texts and spread their teachings across the nation.
The youth looked at Jiang He with utter reverence and pa.s.sion.
After all, was there anyone in the Hua Nation who did not know Jiang He?
“What’s your name?” Jiang He could not help asking with a smile when he saw the youth’s visage.
He appeared a little nervous, and promptly replied, “My name is Li Fei, Mister Jiang. I’m a citizen of Western Xia who was accepted into the Ten Thousand Swords Sect by chance a month ago. I am now cultivating immortal arts with my master, who had himself ascended as an immortal. He had sent me expressly to invite you to his ascension banquet.”
“Who is your master?”
A thought occurred to Jiang He at that and he managed to guess who the youth’s master was. “You are fortunate to be accepted under Jin Sidao’s tutelage. You would definitely become an immortal swordsman in the future and gain the chance to lead the Ten Thousand Swords Sect.”
Of late, within the Ten Thousand Swords Sect, only Jin Sidao alone had any prospect of becoming immortal.
He was recently appointed sect chieftain since, after the immortals of his sect had returned recently, they had goofed off while he did all the work.
Li Fei panicked in Jiang He’s magnificent presence and quickly said, “I wouldn’t dare.”
“What does dare have to do with it?”
Jiang He flatly replied. “If you are a cultivator, you have to boldly advance. You are not going to become an immortal swordsman if you don’t even have a dream, and it would be better if you just stayed at home and waited to die.”
Scratching the back of his head, Li Fei smiled hesitantly, “Well, I did think about it...”
Nearby, Dumbo rolled its eyes at him with a faint smile, saying, “Naughty!”
Li Fei, however, did not dare to look at Dumbo. After all, a powerful Daemon like Dumbo was a little scary for the lesser cultivator who was still a mere Qi Refinist.
After accepting his invitation letter, Jiang He nonchalantly gifted Li Fei a premium-grade spirit item.
Beside himself with joy, Li Fei turned and left.
Rank-eight Qi Refinists could fly on their swords, though their weak mystic energies meant they were slow and did not last long. It was fortunate that Li Fei was a genius disciple of the Ten Thousand Swords Sect and a personal disciple of the chieftain, not to mention that he had a quite a few spirit stones, with which he could restore his mystic energy while flying.
The Ten Thousand Swords Sect had accepted 300 disciples selected from various corners of the nation, each of them being fine seedlings who were one in a million. It was clear that Li Fei’s talent was peak-level since he was chosen as a personal disciple of the sect’s chieftain from the 300, or he would not have cultivated up to the eighth-tier of Qi Refinist this quickly.
Jiang He opened his invitation letter to find rows of scrawls.
He got Trumbo to help translate, and it seemed that the general gist was about Jin Sidao becoming immortal, some respectful salutation towards Jiang He, and an invitation to Jiang He to his ascension banquet.
It was to be held on the twenty-eighth of April—three days later.
Putting away the invitation, Jiang He returned inside to finish lunch and harvest another batch of immortal crystals. Then, taking out his cane chair, he sunbathed nearby the new artificial lake in his Farm.
Still, he soon felt bored.
“The lake is too small... after all, my farm is just a hundred Mu now. Once I level up and expand it to a thousand, or maybe even thousands of Mu, I could expand the lake and make a beach or cove. After that, I’ll buy Boa Hanc.o.c.k and the rest a set of bikini.”
It was a fine idea.
Jiang He’s eyes lit up despite being distracted at first.
As for a cove?
A beach?
Those were no big deal.
“I could take some time to go overseas to find a beach or cove with fine scenery, cutting it out and moving it directly into my Farm...”
“I could rear some marine life in the lake as well, so that I could get them fresh whenever I want seafood.”
Even as the thought crossed his mind, Boa Hanc.o.c.k entered the Farm, arching her back as she whispered into his ear, “Mister w.a.n.g has arrived, Master.”
“Oh?”
Taking off his shades, Jiang He said, “Got it.”
Baring his upper body while wearing a pair of baggy pants, he strode outside his Farm.
Then, another thought come to mind.
He needs to put his Transformer sports car inside his Farm.
Otherwise, it would be a dozen minutes’ walk out from his farm.
It was too wide!
Using his cultivating to step outside?
Who on earth flies around their own house?
Once his step out of his Farm, a superior-grade acquired soul armor materialized over his body in the form of a jersey at a thought.
Jiang He reached his mansion, where w.a.n.g Hou was sitting on the living room sofa while having tea. He must have had a new enlightenment after a cup of Old Tea of Enlightenment, since his yuan Spirit hovered above his head while a profound Dao rippled around his body.
A look of envy and jealousy showed on Jiang He’s face, and he sat at another corner instead of disturbing w.a.n.g Hou.
After around seven minutes, w.a.n.g Hou withdrew his aura, breathed out lengthily, and smiled. “Where did that tea tree of yours actually come from, Jiang He? I gain a new enlightenment each time I drink your tea.”
“Sigh!”
Jiang He did not follow up the conversation, and instead said, “I really envy you...”
It was a shame that he had never felt that even if he drank the Old Tea of Enlightenment every day.
Jiang He felt that it might have to do with his talent for cultivation, since it was really lacking...
w.a.n.g Hou was utterly confused as to what Jiang He was jealous about, but continued, “By the way, did Jin Sidao invite you to his ascension banquet after he became immortal?”
“He sent his disciple.”
“It’s good news. I spoke with him in the morning and he appeared a little thrilled, since he is the second person to ascend as an immortal after the Revival of Qi.”
The first was naturally Jiang He.
Still, Jiang He exclaimed in shock, “The second? No way. My nine monkeys became immortal earlier than he did, and my two Golden-Winged Rocs had ascended as well... that said, my cat and dog fell short a little, thought they are not far from it.”
w.a.n.g Hou was dumbstruck.
Having no intent of further pursuing that question, his tone changed as he said, “Things are getting hairy overseas. They are asking for help every day, so I’m ready to go there for a bit since things are bright in our country anyway. At the same time, I could navigate a route so martial artists and cultivators from our countries could train out in the ocean or even overseas.”
“Moreover, there are a few grotto-heavens overseas that I’m ready to explore.”
Jiang He mused to himself for several seconds and said, “How about this? I’ll go with you, since I need a change of pace and I might bring a beach back with me.”
