Chapter 389: Thunder Dao Fruit
[Ding!]
[+100 Farm Points.]
In his farm, a crisp System Notification jingled in Jiang He’s head when he reached out to pluck a jadelike superior-grade spirit stone from a spirit stone tree.
“Sigh.”
“Just as I’ve thought.”
“One superior-grade spirit stone would have earned me a thousand Farm Points before my farm leveled up, but it’s now just one hundred... even in total, the entire spirit stone tree would only earn me ten thousand points.”
Of the nine factions, only the Unbounded Demon Sect compensated Jiang He with one demi-immortal item, three premium-grade sage items, and two thousand superior-grade spirit stones. The other seven factions each paid him one demi-immortal item, three premium-grade sage items, and one thousand superior-grade spirit stones, making it a total of eight demi-immortal items, twenty-four premium-grade sage items, and nine thousand superior-grade spirit stones.
“Hmmm!”
“If we count it that way, doesn’t mean that even if I plant all these superior-grade spirit stones, demi-immortal items, and premium-grade sage items, I would only earn a total of one hundred million Farm Points?”
Rubbing his temples, Jiang He could feel the profound hatred that the world held against him.
He had been farming so difficulty, and only earn this much Farm Points?
Right now, he only had a total of 1.6 billion Farm Points. When on earth would he gather the 10 billion Farm Points he needed to cultivate up to full-fledged Heavenly Immortal?
“Becoming immortal is too difficult.”
***
After Jiang He’s farm had leveled up, the farm area had expanded up to 100 Mu. If he relocated the mansion, courtyard, and sheds to only occupy several Mu, he would easily plant 9,000 superior-grade spirit stones at once, although harvesting them would be a little troublesome.
Jiang He had plucked them for over two hours and the sky had darkened by the time he was finished.
Right now, he had more than a million superior-grade spirit stones alone, and countless mediocre-grade and inferior-grade spirit stones. In fact, he might also possess more sage items, demi-immortal items and immortal items than any immortal sects, demonic sects, and daemon cultivators on Earth.
“These guys probably can’t gather more wealth now... I would have to think of something solution to gather 10 billion Farm Points.”
Jiang He returned to his mansion, where Sora had already prepared dinner.
She had a lot free time lately.
Back when she was the only maid, she had to cook, wash the dishes, and clean the house every day, as well as ma.s.sage Jiang He and warm his bed. Now, however, those tasks were shared between her, Boa Hanc.o.c.k, Hu Mei, and the seven fairy maidens.
Aromatic dishes were served when Jiang He took his seat at the dinner table, and Hu Mei flirted when she saw the worried look on Jiang He’s face. “Master, are you feeling under the weather? Should I entertain you after dinner?”
Jiang He looked up at Hu Mei, who was winking at him coquettishly... her maid outfit really suited her charm too, as it exuded a special devilish charm.
Still...
Entertainment?
Do you really have that many tricks?
“By the way, could the immortals return after I blew up Mars and the warp portals on it?”
“Of course.”
Hu Mei replied, “Still, their return would be affected to a certain extent—while they would have come out from the warp portals on Mars before, they would now randomly teleport to locations where Mars had been.”
“In other words, the best position for ambushing them is near Mars?”
Hu Mei appeared stunned at that, and quickly said, “Are you going to ambush the immortals, Master? Absolute not! This time, the immortals would return in groups. Moreover, as there are twenty-four factions of immortal sects, demonic sects, and daemon cultivators, the immortals returning might number up to a hundred, and there would definitely be Heavenly Immortals and Golden Immortals among them.”
“It’s fine.”
Jiang He waved her off and said, “The immortals would not return immediately. Would my ability not improve by the time they return? I’m just trying to preparing against any possible outcomes.”
“True, you are an outstanding prodigy—how would the mediocre ever compare?”
Hu Mei flatted, and added after some thought, “According to what I have observed of the Star Map, the spatial seal would not be fully unsealed even after three years. The immortals would not be able to teleport and return inside Earth even if they returned, and they must return by physically journeying across the star. Master, you could set up an ambush on Earth if you intend to do so.”
“No way.”
Jiang He shook his head in refusal without thinking. “The Moon and Mars are different, since Mars is far away from Earth and blowing it up wouldn’t affect Earth. If the Moon blew up, however, Earth would be affected severely.”
“Even if Earth isn’t affected... it hurts to imagine that you wouldn’t see a moon anymore when you look up at night.”
Musing to herself for a while, Hu Mei then suggested, “You could consider hiding in the Star Map, Master.”
“Oh?”
Jiang He’s eyes lit up at the suggestions. The Star Map overlapped with outer s.p.a.ce in real time and it also covered a wide range. With w.a.n.g Hou having gained some extent of authority over that device, he could control more of the Star Map if his ability improved. If that happens, Jiang He would be able to hide in the Star Map and set up an ambush against the immortals... in fact, he could borrow w.a.n.g Hou’s power and use the Star Map to subjugate them if necessary.
“Right now, w.a.n.g Hou is a Paragon martial artist. According to what I’ve seen, his cultivation progress only loses out to mine... I could help him a little.”
There were only too many ways to help w.a.n.g Hou cultivate as well... leaving aside the fact that Jiang He was a master at refining pellets, he could have w.a.n.g Hou mediate Dao beneath the Elder Tea Tree of Enlightenment, and his cultivation would definitely improve by leaps and bounds.
“Still, I could discuss this matter with w.a.n.g Hou...”
“But there’s no hurry. Over the next two days, w.a.n.g Hou would be discussing the promotion of immortal arts and the establishment of a cultivator academy with the Ten Thousand Swords Sect over the next couple of days... When he’s done with the work at hand, I could give him a good lesson... eh?”
Even as Jiang He pondered, he suddenly felt a breeziness at his lower body.
While he was thinking, Hu Mei had handily taken of his pants and half-knelt on the floor...
“What are you doing?”
Gasp!
Jiang He inhaled sharply and pressed his hands over Hu Mei’s head.
This...
...Is killing me!
***
After a night of strenuous activities, Jiang He had a rare moment of waking up early.
He headed downstairs and had his breakfast before going out into the farm.
Immortal radiance shone within, with various immortal items and demi-immortal items hovering up in thin air.
After strengthening his loot from the eight factions by planting the eight demi-immortal items and twenty-four premium-grade sage items, Jiang He had gained eight immortal items and twenty-four demi-immortal items. It was worth further celebration too that the three of the eight immortal items were swords!
Now, Jiang He had six immortal flying swords, and around eighteen items altogether, including the Clear Sky Mirror and the White Jade Tower.
“Jin Sidao has done quite well. I could give him two demi-immortal items as reward after this...”
Jiang He hence plucked the many immortal and demi-immortal items, earning another wave of Farm Points and EXP.
“I think I’ve probably planted everything that could be planted... now, I would have to come up with a new method for earning Farm Points.” Jiang He thought as he turned to look over at another corner.
There were over forty little trees sparkling with thunderbolts. Those were the heavenly thunderbolts that Jiang He had planted—they had been sprouting with the energy extending from his farm’s leveling, and they were now bearing fruit, with heavy fruits dangling off the tips of the branches.
The thunderbolts were not only flashing over those tree branches and leaves, but also over the fruits.
Each were around the size of a fist and shaped like peaches, although it was entirely violet in hue. There were also thunderbolt patterns marked over the fruits, and there were ten fruits on each of the forty-five thunder trees.
“Are the fruits grown from thunderbolts edible?”
Jiang He was quite surprise.
It seems that fruits would grow out of anything he planted in his farm.
If he tried to make some farm fertilizer... ahem. He was digressing.
Gathering his thoughts, Jiang He reached out and plucked a thunder fruit—
[Ding!]
[+500,000 Farm Points.]
Woah!
Jiang He’s eyes promptly lit up and he laughed out loud. “Wonderful! One fruit for 500,000... that would mean one tree earns me 5 million, and over 200 million with forty-five trees.”
He then looked at the fruit on his palm curiously.
What was the effect of this thing?
Since each one earned him 500,000 Farm Points, that value would not lose out to premium-grade sage items.
Lines of information appeared before his eyes then.
[Thunder Dao Fruit]
[Effect: Rich with the power of thunderbolts and the containing Thunder Dao, long term consumption of this fruit improves physique and Thunder Dao enlightenment.]
