Chapter 529: The Green Hill Foxes
The battle that unfolded at the Grand Luo battlefield soon spread throughout all worlds.
Such a matter naturally stirred tremendous waves across every realm.
The fall of ninety-nine Grand Luo left all the Grand Luo in all the worlds jittery, and all of them started to ask about Jiang He.
In days, his name spread across every planet.
***
Uttarakuru, the Three Realms—this was the domain of daemons of the Three Realms.
The forest here was dense and the toxic miasma never fading. It would be hard for Heavenly Immortals to enter certain locations, let alone for normal humans to live there.
Even so, many divine cities stood within Uttarakuru, each of which were protected by arrays on the outside and immortal soldiers on the inside.
Though most who dwelled in the cities were daemons, there would still be the rare few humans… they would either be staying there for commerce or visiting on pleasure trips.
And in a luxurious tavern in one of the divine cities, a handsome youth who looked like the rich, pampered sort was coming down some stairs, escorted by a group of Heavenly Immortals.
There was something special about all those immortals…
Their ears would either be woolly, or they would have a tail growing on their backs.
They were foxes!
At the same time, the clamor in the tavern promptly died down.
After all, the Green Hill Foxes held great influence in Uttarakuru, and was one of the most important daemon races in the Three Realms.
Looking around coolly, the young Green Hill Fox ask quietly, “What were all of you saying? Who is Jiang He? What do you mean by the fall of the G.o.d-Demon alliance?”
He had clearly heard of some of the daemons’ chat.
A sharp-witted daemon monkey who had turned into a waiter promptly approached him and told the youth everything about what had happened at the Grand Luo battlefield.
“Young Master, Grand Luo is too high a tier for us to reach.”
“It’s tidbits I heard from the guest who visited our tavern…”
Nonetheless, the young Green Hill Fox’s expression had already changed.
Turning toward an immortal daemon of his own race, he asked quietly, “Have you heard of the name Jiang He?”
The immortal daemons all shook their heads.
It is good if you have not heard of that G.o.dly fiend from the homeworld!
On the other hand, the young fox had his own ideas…
Despite his low cultivation, he was a Green Hill Fox and therefore privy to many secrets not known to other races… For example, that the Green Hill Foxes had suffered terrible casualties over the last few years, and other fox clans did not even know why those elites died… However, the young fox himself knew that the clan’s elites had died to a human elite named Jiang He, who originated from the homeworld.
“No… the information about Jiang He is that he is merely Heavenly Immortal… there’s no way he could do something like this!”
The young Green Hill Fox shook his head to refute his own idea.
He was on trip in the divine city for two days, and only returned to the Green Hill Foxes’ mountain on the third.
Once he returned, the young fox could feel a different atmosphere among the other Green Hill Foxes, and learned that every leader of the clan had convened.
Even several of their matriarchs had returned.
“What?”
“The grannies came back?”
The young Green Hill Fox was stunned.
The reason that the Green Hill Foxes could establish themselves at Uttarakuru and some major human sects even had to give them face was because of those matriarchs… They would rarely return even after thousands or dozen thousands of years as they served Lady Nüwa…
By the time the young fox had reached the hall, he found the clan leaders sitting silently without saying a word.
The matriarchs were already gone as well.
The young fox was just about to say something as well when the clan leader rose to his feet and spoke somberly, “Get prepared, fellow elders. You shall come with me to the Celestial Court to settle our grievance against Jiang He.”
Reluctance was written all over the faces of the Green Hill Fox elders and leaders.
The outcome at the Grand Luo battlefield left them feeling ice-cold fear already.
But so what if they were reluctant?
The matriarchs had made their stance clear as well… that they would not be a part of the grievance between them and Jiang He, and the Saintess backing them would not interfere.

At the side palace of the Celestial Court where Jiang He was staying, both the Jade Emperor and Lü Dongbin were visiting him, and pa.s.sed him 3.6 million inferior-grade immortal weapons as well as nine hundred thousand mediocre-grade immortal weapons.
Delighted, Jiang He told them that he would strengthen those weapons as soon as possible so that the troops of the Celestial Court would have weapons to use…
He certainly did not expect the Jade Emperor to wave him off and flatly say, “No hurry, Mister Jiang. These are only the items in the warehouse… there are still some superior-grade immortal items and premium-grade immortal items which are lacking in number, but I have already sent my people to make inventory and collect them.”
“As for immortal pellets… there are many below rank-six, but it would take some time to group them… I have sent 3,000 immortal soldiers to work on it overnight, and they would definitely be able to deliver in a week.”
The Jade Emperor truly is a rich man!
With these immortal items and immortal pellets, I definitely would be able to farm loads of Farm Points… I would improve my tier in martial arts, let alone to Demi-Saint!
Jiang He was delighted inwardly, but did not let it show on his face.
After chatting for a while, Jiang He asked about the Nether River Patriarch. “Your Majesty, have you sent someone to find out about his whereabouts?”
“Are you going to fight the Nether River Patriarch, Mister Jiang?”
The Jade Emperor was surprised and exclaimed, “His power is extraordinary. Born in the Blood Sea of Nether, he has mastered the art of killing, blood, Asura. Nether River would never die if the Blood Sea is not destroyed… there is no a.s.surance that even an average Saint could kill him.”
“I’m not in a rush to deal with the Nether River Patriarch.”
Jiang He replied, “I’m just worried that he would turn his sights on Earth since he could not do anything to me me for the time being.”
The Jade Emperor, however, laughed at his words.
“What?”
Jiang He frowned.
“Don’t worry, Mister Jiang… the Nether River Patriarch would never be brave enough to attack the homeworld even if he was loaned a hundred guts!”
The Jade Emperor had some of Jiang He’s Old Tea of Enlightenment before leaving in satisfaction, while Jiang He himself entered his Farm.
Within, Dumbo was sunbathing with shades beneath one of the beach umbrellas on the cove, but quickly got up, wagging his tail to greet Jiang He when he saw his master’s return. Pointing at the fifty-three graves nearby, he said, “Master, Moyin, Skyless, the other fifty foreign Grand Luo, as well as the female Sura have been all buried.”
Jiang He turned to find only two slanted tombstones in front of the fifty-three graves.
One of the tombstone read ‘Lord Moyin of the Demon race’, while the other read ‘Lord Skyless of the G.o.d race.’
“Well…”
Dumbo explained, “Master, I only know the names of those two wretches… I don’t know the name of the other Grand Luo, so I didn’t make tombstones for them.”
Unable to decide if he should laugh or cry, Jiang He threw the Spatial Rings in his hand to Dumbo and instructed, “Take out all the immortal items inside those rings and plant everything.”
