Everybody Is Kung Fu Fighting, While I Started A Farm

Chapter 546: Can You Upgrade My Nine Dragon G.o.d Fire Shroud?

Chapter 546: Can You Upgrade My Nine Dragon G.o.d Fire Shroud?

“How dare you!”

The G.o.d Saint was furious and launched a G.o.d art with a wave of his hand.

The Primeval Lord of Heaven flicked his finger in response, nullifying the attack and smirked. “Trying to hurt others in front of me?”

“Even if you can protect him now, do you think you could protect him for the rest of his life, Primeval?”

The G.o.d Saint retorted coldly, “He insulted me with his words. Killing him does not break the accords between Saints.”

He then shot a glance at Jiang He, sneering chillingly before his body disappeared like a puff of mist.

As the immense pressure overflowing with a sacred might disappeared, Jiang He became certain that the G.o.d Saint was gone. It was only then that he sighed in relief. “That was close, I was almost a corpse… Thanks for your help, Great Primeval.”

The last part was naturally meant for the Primeval Lord of Heaven, but it left him speechless.

Great Primeval?

Why did that t.i.tle sound so out of fashion?

Nonetheless, Jiang He’s tone changed in contempt toward that G.o.d Saint, sneering, “Are all the Saints of the G.o.ds such cowards? He left without even leaving threats.”

“Could threats kill you?”

The Primeval Lord of Heaven replied flatly. “He can’t do a thing to you with me here… though I didn’t expect you to insult a Saint.”

“Insult a Saint?”

Jiang He muttered. “Are we not supposed to speak ill of Saints?”

“Nope.”

The Primeval Lord of Heaven chuckled. “We Saints can sense it if some weak cultivator curse us, just as it is normal for us to kill them from across s.p.a.ce and time.”

“Isn’t that a little petty?”

Shocked, Jiang He wisecracked by reflex, but soon remembered his situation and quickly said, “But I mocked the Saints of the G.o.ds and Demons… Are they going to hit me as well?”

“They won’t.”

The Primeval Lord of Heaven laughed, amused by Jiang He. “You possess considerable power, and the power that the Saints could extend over the endlessness of s.p.a.ce and time is limited… that’s why the Saints of the G.o.ds and Demons would never be able to kill you in that manner even if they wanted to.”

“Moreover, my senior brother does dote on you. He would protect you even if the patriarchs of the G.o.ds and Demons attacked personally, let alone reach you from across s.p.a.ce and time. Moreover, the accords between Saints bind them, and so Saints would not personally attack a Demi-Saint under most circ.u.mstances.’

After all, if the Saints of G.o.ds and Demons were allowed to kill a Three Realms weakling for no reason, the Saint of the Three Realms would definitely return the favor. Why bother with civilization then?

A few more editions of mutual slaughter, and the Saints’ races would be mostly gone.

Jiang He breathed a sigh of relief at that.

And yet, that was when the Primeval Lord of Heaven’s tone changed and he said, “However, it is a rule that Saints are not to be insulted. After you’ve spoken rudely towards Lord Swelling Sky today, we can’t really help if he wants to kill you… but don’t worry, he would never dare make a move if you are within the territory of the Three Realms.”

At the same time, the Primeval Lord of Heaven had arrived with Jiang He outside the base of the Three Realms.

The chaotic battle between Demi-Saints was over, though shockwaves and G.o.dly techniques remained among the stars.

Veins of Saintly auras arose from all directions, while the divine minds of Saints connected and clashed. Jiang He could actually vaguely hear an arguing voice that seemed to say, “I’m Heaven itself! Am I supposed to be afraid of you?”

“A battle between Saints? So what? I’ll be waiting!”

“Is that the Grandmaster of Heaven?”

Jiang He thought to himself, ‘He really is a straightforward kind of guy.’

After a long while, the connected divine minds of the Saints withdrew, and the Saintly auras began to fade.

There were a few G.o.d Saints and Demon Saints that stepped out and left with the Demi-Saints of their respective races.

Jiang He counted thirteen Demi-Saints of foreign races, meaning that the others had either been killed or subjugated.

That was when a curious sense of danger struck him, and he promptly teleported to the Three Realms’ base. Meanwhile, a huge palm had slammed down on the spot where he had been an instant ago, crushing five hundred kilometers worth of cosmic reaches into oblivion.

“You’re a fast runner.”

The G.o.d Saint—Lord Swelling Sky—soon appeared in that oblivion. The area around him returned to normal with a flick of his finger, and he shot Jiang He a look despite him being a million miles away before disappearing.

What the h.e.l.l!

Jiang He cursed.

Isn’t Lord Swelling Sky utterly shameless?

How dare he ambush me?

Ooom.

Beside him, the black-robed Primeval Lord of Heaven appeared and said, “Don’t worry. Even if he wants to kill you, he would only dare to make a move after you leave the domain of the Three Realms.”

“Moreover, considering your talent, it is not impossible for you to reach Xuandu’s level. Whether Lord Swelling Sky could kill you after that is not a given.”

Jiang He’s eyes lit up.

Oh, right!

It was not that hard to reach the Grand Mage of Xuandu’s level, was it?

They had both trained in martial arts and immortal arts simultaneously, after all… if Jiang He went in seclusion for two years and keep farming every day, he would improve his immortals up to peak Demi-Saint.

Oom.

That was when the air rippled and the Grandmaster of Heaven approached from the distance.

His appearance was that of a middle-aged man wearing a robe embroidered in golden markings, and he looked at once imposing and solemn. Indeed, his foul temper showed immediately when he spoke as he barked, “That dog Swelling Sky actually broke the Saints’ accords to attack Jiang He… are you alright, Jiang He?”

Although he had not met the Grandmaster of Heaven before, he did saw objects depicting their likeness before during his long stay at the Celestial Court. As such, he promptly bowed and smiled, “Thank you for your concern, Lord Heaven. I’m unhurt.”

With that, the Grandmaster of Heaven went on a rant again about Lord Sky Swelling Sky being a wuss, weakling, blindsiding a young one… and that he would go to the G.o.d Realm to return the favor since they had attacked a young one of the Three Realms, and killed off some young G.o.ds…

Jiang He quickly explained at that, “Calm Down, Lord Heaven… I did draw first blood in this matter.”

He then explained everything, about how he had searched and plundered the G.o.ds’ base and insulted Lord Swelling Sky to convince the Grandmaster of Heaven not to go to the G.o.d Realm. It would be terrible if he caused a war between Saints, after all…

The Grandmaster of Heaven’s eyes bulged as he stared at Jiang He in disbelief. After a long while, he laughed out loud, “Good, good! Fine words—that mongrel Swelling Sky is a new Saint himself with mediocre ability. So what if you insulted him? He would never dare invade the Three Realms to kill you even if he was several times braver.

“You had not visited my Biyou Palace, have you, Jiang He?”

“Come visit me there and cultivate. Let’s see what Swelling Sky could do to you after that!”

Jiang He thought to himself then that he had basically drained the Chan Sect and the Celestial Court of anything he could gather Farm Points with. He definitely needs to visit the Biyou Palace for new items, and so promptly nodded in agreement.

With that, the Grandmaster of Heaven handed him a jade charm, explaining that it would allow him unconstrained pa.s.sage over Biyou Palace.

Later, after the Saints left, Jiang He found w.a.n.g Hou, who was sitting cross-legged in meditation among the stars.

A mystical Martial Dao emanated away from him, and his powerful Martial Yuan Spirit floated above his head.

His martial grotto-heaven was crumbling as it turned into a world in his body, just as the faint golden radiance of Eternium shone over his body.

Kaboom!

His overwhelming qi shot up, causing the skies to quake.

He reached the fourteenth-tier of martial arts as everyone looked on.

After a long while, he opened his eyes and breathed out a strand of turbid air, a look of delight flashing in his eyes.

“Congratulations on reaching Eternal, Minister w.a.n.g!”

Jiang He went up to congratulate him, and the other Demi-Saints soon followed.

w.a.n.g Hou returned their gesture with a fist-palm salute and said, “Apology, brothers. As I’ve just ascended, I need to stabilize my cultivation and feel out the new realm of martial arts I’ve reached, and so I bid you goodbye.”

With that, he turned into a flash and disappeared, while Jiang He sought out the Grand Mage of Xuandu.

He was the leader of the Three Realms’ Demi-Saints.

They saluted each other before Jiang He revealed his intentions to gather the fallen foreign Demi-Saints’ corpses. In response, the Grand Mage of Xuandu smiled generously. “Your contribution was essential in today’s grand victory, Brother Jiang He. You may claim every last spoil.”

“Certainly not.”

Jiang He threw up his hands and flashed a pained smile. “All of you were putting your lives on the line to fight, while I did not take part aside from slightly relieving your burden by killing merely sixteen foreign Demi-Saints.”

The Grand Mage of Xuandu was dumbstruck.

The peerless Demi-Saint appear taken aback.

He suddenly felt that his life as the most powerful being barring Saints, which spanned endless eras, was meaningless!

Just listen to that… is that how a person supposed to talk?

Killing merely sixteen foreign Demi-Saints?

Are those foreign Demi-Saints all pushovers to you?

Then, Jiang He’s tone changed and he snorted. “Actually, isn’t the victory today we gained was because those foreign Demi-Saints are too dumb and ran to us Three Realms’ base? Aren’t they just suicidal?”

Laughter ensued, while the True Habitant of Tai Yi muttered, “Isn’t that just because you made them absolutely frustrated…”

While they were having some small talk, the Grand Luo who were in charge of clearing up the battlefield pa.s.sed all the loot they had gathered to the Grand Mage of Xuandu. He in turn took out seven Demi-Saint corpses and pa.s.sed them to Jiang He.

Those corpses include one Demi-Saint G.o.d and two Demi-Saint Demons, while the other four were from their va.s.sal races.

Jiang He stared at a rock among them then and exclaimed in amus.e.m.e.nt, “Is that the corpse of the Stoners’ patriarch? What an interesting bunch… do they all turned to stone after they die?”

“Not quite.”

The Grand Mage of Xuandu explained, “They are unique beings in this universe. They are incarnations of mountain stones and yet aren’t mountain stones—the reason a stone is left of the Stoner’s patriarch is because he’s so powerful that I was unable preserve his full corpse to kill him.”

“Why are you gathering Demi-Saint corpses, Brother Jiang He?”

“I have been journeying across worlds over the years and have killed several Demi-Saints, as well as preserved the corpses of chaos beings. I could give them all to you if you need them.”

Still, the other Demi-Saints all came up right after the Grand Mage of Xuandu had spoken, all of them in a rush to have their say.

“I’ve kept a foreign Demi-Saint’s corpse to.”

“I have two!”

“You…”

“Me, what? You may be one of the Twelve Golden Immortals of the Chan Sect, but every last one of your group are just for show. I’m from the Jie Sect, and my senior brother has four Demi-Saint corpses.”

“Hah! Just four? My senior brother—Guang Chengzi—had been traveling outside our realm, killing untold hordes of chaos beings…”

While the Demi-Saints of the Chan Sect and the Jie Sect argued away, Jiang He looked absolutely delighted!

Demi-Saint corpses…

With everyone offering him so many, how many would he get in total?

“I’m going to be rich!”

“If I could plant several dozen Demi-Saints, I could even fight an average Saint directly!”

Inwardly celebrating, Jiang He promptly said, “Brothers, I had recently been enlightened to a Dao that needs plenty of Demi-Saints corpses, but I would not take advantage of your kindness.”

He then promised to help those Demi-Saints upgrade their mystic treasures.

Right after he had spoken, the True Habitant of Tai Yi felt his eyes light up. Talking out a lampshade from his pocket, he asked, “Could you upgrade my Nine Dragon G.o.d Fire Shroud, Brother Jiang He?”
