EVO WARS SYSTEM

Chapter 46

(Hunter POV)

"Got the warm up out of the way, let"s dance big boy."

This guy doesn"t seem to get provoked often, with just a sentence he gave out an enraged roar that bothered my still adjusting hearing. Leaping towards me I could be the veins in his arms enlarge like snakes as he tries to smash me with his club. The wind stinging my cheek as I barely dodge towards him. Grabbing his wrist with one hand I jump and use the moment to spin in the air landing a kick that turns his head to the left his body soon following.

I take the chance while hes dazed to land in a steady stance and unleash a barrage of blows to his kidneys and liver. His body might not have the same defensive strength as my own but the solid bulk he has helps absorb the force of my blows. Watching as he sobers up with a cringe I know my offense has some effect.

Screw it this game is about evolving right, that just means I need to surpa.s.s my limits. Can"t be wasting time on this trash.

I push off my back foot into a head on charge, watching as he raises his arms to protect his body I smile. Jumping into his chest I focus all the momentum into a headbut that snaps his head back. Landing on top of him I stop holding back launching fist after fist into his face. His megger resistance slowly dies down as I cave in his skull one blow at a time.

"AAAAAAHHHHHH HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA"

Not bothering about anything else I break into a victorious laugh. If the goblin knew some type of fighting style his overwhelming strength might have changed the victor. That doesn"t change the fact that I"m the one left standing while he has joined most of his kin in the underworld.

The goblins I wounded earlier have gone pale and started shivering not from pain but fear. I make short work of them as they do their best to flee.

(Artemis POV)

"He"s almost there, please turn around now. Your smart and that battle might not have injured you but it took a lot of your energy."

Unable to take my eyes off the screen as Hunter finished off the tier 1 goblins and sat down on an unbroken chair. He seemed to he considering whether to go on or not.

"Dammit you IDIOT!"

(Author POV)

As soon as Hunter rested enough and finished eating the tier 2 goblin"s heart he decided to continue on. With his energy recovering and even feeling his strength increasing. The thought about whats higher up could be more challenging than tier 2 goblins only made his blood boil with antic.i.p.ation.

He steadily climbed through the floors killing any goblin to cross his path, by the eighth floor tier 0 goblins completely stopped appearing and more tier 2s showed up. He needed to rest longer after every floor to recover and digest the energy he gained from the goblins.

Finally he made to the top but what greeted him was a wide open area. Most of the walls had been torn down. Tier 2 goblins filled the room and created a formless pressure in the air weighing down on Hunter. At the very end the biggest goblin he"d seen yet sat on a lazy boy recliner. The tier 3 he had sense from the beginning glared at him releasing endless killing intent.

He looked to his side and asked.

"He"s made it here can I finally be allowed to make my move against this b.a.s.t.a.r.d."

From thin air a deep voice answered.

"Yes, as agreed once a human made it to the top floor or someone on earth evolved to tier 3 you are no longer bound to this area."

The goblin nods and stands up. Looking at Hunter he smirks and asks.

"Do you like the scenery here boy. My advisor told me about you and he recommended I prepare these people for when you get here."

The Hunter did not need to ask what scenery he was talking about because his eyes never left the people he mentioned. Not the three dozen tier 2 goblins or the two and a half meter tall tier 3 could make him look away.

Bound by chains hung from the ceiling was a women that he hadn"t seen in around a decade. Beside her was a few teenagers around twelve to fifteen. It took him a few moments to connect the memories from his past to the faces present, finally he spoke in a choked voice.

"Mother?"

Meanwhile back at Hunter"s home a little girl with smooth white scales and a little boy with ruff green scales started screaming in pain. Their eyes turning red as well as their bodies trembled. Everyone around them was shocked and as the twins tried to calm them down they could only say that their master was engulfed in rage to deep for them to handle.

Frost tried to tell them where to find her big brother but fainted before she could. Victor gritted his teeth still not accustomed to his new body but forced himself to point in the direction of the apartment building before collapsing.

This scared everyone to no end. The sun was already starting to set and their worries about Hunter"s situation had been around for hours. Now that they said Hunter was enraged to the point of causing his two contacted beasts to faint caused those worries to multiply. They couldn"t even do anything because of the lack of information. All they could do was hope and pray for his safety so they could kill him themselves when he returned.

Back at the apartment building Hunter"s eyes slowly turned a dark red. The small scales that were barely noticeable covering his body started to turn a crimson black.

The woman looked like she was beaten and raped to the point where she was just a sh.e.l.l. Her eyes listless and black and purple bruises covered her body, only the face was left untouched. As for the two boys and the girl tied up struggling around her, he knew those were his brothers and sister.

Long ago his mother abandoned him which lead him to be abused by his grandmother to point of being removed from her custody. This gave him a better life with his new parents and brothers who took him in. A few times his mother tried to come back into his life but between the different men who knocked her up or the different addictions she had caused his new family, especially his brothers to refuse to allow her back in. The main reason Erik took a break from being a mercenary was to make sure Hunter did not go back under her care.

He turned his back on these people long ago but in the end she was still his birth mother and they were still his little siblings. Finally his wings burst from his back. His new look was as if a demon from h.e.l.l crawled through the earth with one thought in mind. KILL!

The formless pressure from the goblins was quickly pushed back and some of the weaker tier 2s even found themselves on one knee. The killing intent radiating out from the lone demon caused the goblins to have trouble breathing. Only the tier 3 stood his ground barely affected, raising his head and laughing.

"YES, KILLER OF MY KIN HOW ARE YOU FEELING! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

The tier 3 was restricted from moving beyond this area because of those dam rules. Now that he was free he could start rebuilding his tribe with the women of other races. His grand ambitions causing him to roar with laughter and glee. Now all he needed was to kill the human in front of him. Looking over at the human he could only laugh and sneer until he disappeared from his sight for a moment. Looking around the black winged human appeared in front of the woman.

(Hunter POV)

"You were never a good mother but I still never wished anything to happen to you. I will take care of my siblings so rest now. If there is a next life I hope you can find peace."

I gaze into the lifeless eyes of the woman who gave birth to me as I raised my hand to her throat. With a quick twist and a snapping sound I end her life. She could in theory be saved but between what has happened to her and the added hatred in the depths of my heart it is easier if she finds peace in the next life.

I snap the chains around her wrists and lay her body down, closed her eyelids. I"ll make a grave for her once I"m done here. Look up at the tier 3 I no longer have the urge to fight. No I will see this goblin begs me to end his life. I"ve never thought of myself as a good person and I do have very strong urges to let my inner beast out at times, but this is the first time that something isn"t tempting me to kill. I want to kill this beast, a unique feeling that I think will give me great pleasure. At the very least it will help release this pain that"s stabbing my chest.

I crack my neck side to side and look into the goblin"s eyes that start to show the faint signs of regret.

"Sorry for the wait. I can start killing you all now
