Makarov walked the two towards the library of the guild and stopped in front of the door. The door of the library didn"t have any key or lock.

It was a wooden door with various runic symbols inscribed on it. There were certain black s.p.a.ces on the door.

Makarov filled the blank as well as used certain formula spell to initiate the opening of the door.

The door glowed slightly with the runic symbols circling the door once and it was opened.

Makarov started to take his first step into the library but stopped and turned his head around to look at Ardent.

Although the two didn"t say anything directly to one another, their gaze said much.

Ardent understood what that looks meant, sighed and nodded as if agreeing to some thing.

The library of any guild is a sacred place because it contains the source which can increase the power of the guild. These places are generally restricted areas for non guild members, but Makarov was willing to bend the rules a bit for his grandson, Daven.

But Ardent wasn"t allowed. He is a Rune Knight and he may see something which could be related to guilds security and safety. He may willingly or unwilling spread some news detrimental to the guild and so he cannot be allowed.

A young boy wasn"t that that much of a threat to the guild as he could be, especially with the type of relation Magic Council have with the Fairy Tail guild.

Ardent then put his hands on Daven"s shoulders and said," Daven, I have to head back. Your mother requires my help especially now in her current situation.

You will stay with Grandpa Makarov and Laxus for a few weeks until you have mastered the control of your newly learned magic.

We don"t want you to cause problem for your mother in case you lose control, do we?" Ardent asked gently.

Daven just shook his head.

Ardent rubbed his hair in affection and said,"Soon your new sibling will be arriving, so train hard and complete this step soon so you could return home early and meet him it her." He tried to motivate him.

Then he turned to look at Makarov and said," Take care of him, Master Makarov."

" I will." And then Ardent left the guild and most probably through the shadow travel reached his house in the Meteor Town .

Daven was sad that his father had left so soon and he could be away from his family for the first time.

His immature part of mind was sad and felt like crying because he didn"t have his parents with him but the mature part encouraged him to work hard and learn his magic as soon as possible to return home.

" Come now, Daven we have to get you started on magic or if you aren"t feeling well then we may as well start tomorrow when you are feeling better. " Makarov tried to uplift the spirit and inspire him to head forth.

It did the trick and frightened by the fact that it may really happen he dashed into the library with Makarov following behind him softly.

Daven saw that the library composed of a number of bookshelves at the center and some about four on the side of the room. There was no window in the room except for the ventilation near the ceiling.

On the other sides there were some big tables with six chairs on each table to allow the browser of the library to read.

The bookcase in the middle of the room were arranged in the 5*4 rows and columns arrangement.

Daven went through the book t.i.tle of the books in the middle shelf but only those whom he could reach at his current age and then went to the other seemingly attractive magic.

Daven had disappeared in the middle bookcase. When Makarov arrived he didn"t see Daven, but understood he might be seduced by the magic books and tried to see through them.

When he didn"t find Daven, he said loudly enough for the voice to spread the library," Daven, if you don"t appear in front of me now I won"t teach you today."

As soon as Daven heard this, he was in front of Makarov.

Makarovv just grinned to himself and thought," Works every time."

Then he told Daven," Now let me tell you the rules of the fairy tail library.

You aren"t allowed to learn two magic at a time. So You are allowed to take books about a single attribute once every month.

In that month time, you cannot change the magic and must train in it or wait until the month had pa.s.sed to take the next one.

Secondly, you aren"t allowed to take any book out if the library. If you do that then you will be restricted from touching or even entering here for three months as punishment.

Abd finally, you cannot damage or ruin any book.

Am I understood?"

Daven just nodded and was restraining himself from rushing back to the books.

Makarov just smiled and then went off to the bookshelf at the corner. On reaching there a barrier was erected and the visage of Makarov was blurred.

Daven couldn"t see what Makarov was doing and when the barrier dropped, Makarov arrived in front with two books.

The book t.i.tle was" Arc of Embodiment".

" Is this the magic I will be learning?"he asked

" Yes. When you were young, we checked your magic and this magic was the most suitable for you. And, we decide to teach this to you." Makarov explained.

Daven took the book from Makarov and then tried to open the book but to no avail.

"All the books in the library are sealed with special runes, to use them you must first get the guild Master permission and you must be skilled or powerful enough or you can"t learn the magic." Makarov told the reason why he couldn"t open the book.

Makarov took Daven"s small hands and then some runes began to generate on his hands.

" Now try to open the book."

This time the book opened and Daven could read the book.

He turned some pages and felt that his magic was draining and after a few turns he felt his magic was at all times low.

Makarov closed the book and said," These books drain some magic from the mage when they are being read or touched.

Only the holder of the book could see the words in the book for others it is just some blurry words

After you master a particular spell you will find that the spell formula on your magic array would counter the drain and you could advance further.

This is a trick that The second guild master used to prevent young mage from eating more than they could chew.

So be careful. You can progress one step at a time only. If you rush to more powerful magic you would only hamper your growth.

Now take this theory book about the Arc of Embodiment. This will help you. " Makarov handed the other book to Daven and suddenly a loud noise came from outside the door.

"Those idiots destroyed something big again."Makarov mumbled to himself.

" You go through the theory first. When I return I would help you with your first magic formula. " After saying that he rushed out of the library and shouted," You idiots ..." And the door was closed shut.

Daven looked at the two thick books on his hands and then sat on the table to read through them.
