Therius knew that the couple had only been married for less than two weeks. So, he was actually only a little late. However, he could also see how deep the connection Emma had with Haoran. After all, he was Emma"s first friend, and they were best friends before they got married. How could he win from Haoran in that regard?
He waved his hand, and the teacup shards that scattered on the floor immediately swept into the corner of the room. Then, he elegantly poured another cup of tea and sipped it with a stoic face.
"I told her to think carefully about everything and come here today to talk to you in person," Xion continued his words.
"Do you know when she will come?" Therius asked, glancing toward Xion.
"I don"t know. She didn"t say. You just wait."
"Hmm ..." Therius nodded. He then finished his tea and rose to walk toward his bedroom.
"..."
Xion was baffled because Therius didn"t leave his room for hours after he went in.
"Heh ... why is he shutting himself in his room?"
Xion had thought Therius would take a bath and change clothes and then come out to meet him with a book or a royal doc.u.ment that he needed to study, as usual.
But today, he did not show his nose at all after entering his bedroom.
"Princess Emma is here!" Xion suddenly exclaimed. He wanted to tease his friend.
ZING
The door to Therius" room suddenly opened, and the crown prince came out of his room in his regal princely outfit. His face looked rather panicked.
Xion had never seen him like this. His jaw almost dropped to the floor.
"Where is she?" Therius asked. He looked to the right and left, and was puzzled when he saw no there was no one except Xion in the living room.
Xion picked up his jaw and suddenly laughed.
"What were you doing in your room for hours? Are you dressing up?" His forehead twitched as he watched Therius"s face turn sour. "Gos.h.!.+ Don"t tell me you did spend hours in the room trying to look handsome in front of Princess Emma Stardust!"
He walked briskly and pushed Therius"s body to the side as he entered through the door and looked into the magnificent bedroom. He saw a pile of clothes scattered on the floor.
He stood with his arms akimbo, shaking his head.
"I was just joking earlier..." He turned to Therius with a shocked look. "but apparently you were indeed dressing up. Gosh... you really like this girl!"
Therius was very popular among female students when he was in the academy, even though they did not know that he was the crown prince. However, Xion had never seen him attracted to any girl.
Just this once.
Ahh ... his best friend was really in love.
Unfortunately, Therius was late, though. The only girl he liked was already married to someone else and even confirmed that she loved her husband.
Xion could only hope that Emma would make the right choice by considering the pros and cons.
If she insisted that she wanted to be with Haoran, she would not see her family again, and her father would die. If General Kaos.h.i.+n Stardust died, it was likely that Princess Arreya would die with him.
But if Emma chose to leave Haoran, she would be able to save her family, Therius would be able to ascend the throne easily, Emma would be the queen of Akkadia, and of course, she would find a husband who loved her and treated her well.
If Therius only considered Emma as a p.a.w.n to ascend the throne and did not have any love for her, maybe Emma"s situation will not be too favorable. She and Therius would be bound in a loveless marriage.
But this was not at all like that.
Xion could see that Therius sincerely loved Emma, even though they had only met once. Or if Therius was right, that it was really Emma that he had met in the past, then Emma was actually his first love.
His encounter with Emma in the past certainly left a very deep impression for Therius that he kept remembering her and even faithfully kept her ring for a dozen years.
When they met again after he was an adult, his feelings for the girl suddenly burned, and he fell in love without being able to hold back.
Xion was actually still confused about what had happened in the past, but he had given up thinking about it. His head hurt after forcing himself to think and he didn"t like it. He could only hope that over time, Therius would want to tell him what really happened ... or he would find out the answer on his own.
Now... the biggest issue was how they could bring Emma back with them to Akkadia. Therius was clearly in love with her and Xion knew Emma would be in good hands.
Didn"t people say, it"s better for women to marry the men who love them than to marry men they love?
Men who love them will treat them well and care for them with all their heart. Xion had known Therius for a long time and he was sure the prince would treat his wife well.

"Did you sleep well last night?" Haoran asked when he saw Emma coming down from their room for breakfast. He already noticed dark circles under her eyes and immediately became worried.
"Ugh... I tossed and turned, I think. But I did sleep. I hope I didn"t bother you in bed," said Emma, lying.
Haoran shook his head. "Of course not. Come, have breakfast."
He opened a chair for her and poured her a cup of milk.
"I have to go to the Continental Building to talk to the two people," Emma said as she and Haoran had breakfast together. "I don"t know what will happen and I don"t want you to be in danger."
"So you will go alone?" Haoran asked. "At least let me take you to the lobby. They won"t dare to do anything to me in public."
Emma nodded. "I agree."
"Alright. Let"s go there."
