Her mother cried, tugging on her sleeves. Why didn"t she tell her before, instead rushing into the marriage.

She patted her mothers back to comfort her, whilst mother calmed down and overwhelmed her with questions as she looked at his picture on the marriage certificate.

How tall is he? What is his occupation? Does he drive? What kind of car does he drive? Does he have his own house? She repeated what she told Sakuya to her mother.

Like Sakuya her mother was worried for her. She was still somewhat unable to accept. Looking at his handsome profile she had doubts. What if he was a cheat?

It"s not that she doubted her daughters appeal but her daughter was so low key. Her information on her blind date papers were nearly blank except for her name and age, she was a homebody through and through. What was in it for him? What if he is merely exploiting her beauty?

As a mother she"s rather proud of how beautiful her daughter is, after all she has inherited her beautiful looks, mother has become quite big headed because of it. Whenever she meets with old friends along side her daughter, she gets praised endlessly.

Seira felt that Sakuya was more like her mother"s daughter than herself. They asked the same questions and thought similarly.

"I sought a good son-in-law for you, you still are not satisfied?" She held her mothers hand.

"No" Mother alarmingly thought it was too sudden. The development was too sudden. She told her mother to not worry as she would not allow anyone to bully her or wrong her. She would like to see which man would dare to slight her, don"t even mention Sakuya, she would make his life worse than death.

*FL has learnt well from reading all those transmigration novels in her high school years

Because of the stimulus of the marriage certificate, mother was sleepless at night.

Throughout the night her mother would repeatedly ask the same questions about her "darling son-in-law" that she barely slept. In the end she slept in and got up, heading to the kitchen reading the note her mother left her to go for her morning exercise.

She had only met him twice how could she know so much about his life ? Other than his name and details on paper, they are just like strangers pa.s.sing each other on a path.

She quickly ate the breakfast mother prepared and went to the living room checking her phone. Her phone was usually put in the living room in the evening as she had no need to use her moblie at night and no one other than mother and Sakuya have her number.

She received a few missed calls around six to nine o"clock in the morning from Madara.

She opened his message. His parents were flying in to the city at 10 this morning, so he asked if she could come over.

It seemed he wanted her to meet his parents. It was late (it was already half past 10) and she had overslept. She did not have enough time to go to the airport, unless she was Superman or the Flash, unfortunately she was neither.

In the end she messaged him to tell them she wanted to but he prevented her.

A moment later, Madara messaged "You"re the best"

She left her phone in the lounge as she grabbed her keys from the drawer, and went to find Sakuya. The previous night she (Sakuya) drank a lot, she was certain she wasn"t at work.

Using her spare key she walked into Sakuya"s room to find her lying in bed whining, wanting her to wait on her.

*FL alcohol tolerance is moderately high

Sakuya opened her eyes to glance at her, feebly saying "I feel uncomfortable, you have to wait on me" If this had been any other person (excluding her mother) she would"ve just ignored them.

Seira waited on her, pouring a cup of warm water, warming up the left overs of the breakfast her mother made that she quickly retrieved from her apartment, placing it in front of her. She delightedly ate her breakfast. Sakuya"s boyfriend was her boss, so the chances of her being fired was close to zero.

They continued to chatter meaninglessly before Sakuya fell asleep again. Seira returned to her apartment by 12, she had expected her mother to have returned and as expected she was in the kitchen busy cooking. She helped her peel onions before heading to the lounge to see she had received missed calls again. How relentless.

It was Madara, again.

"What are you doing?" She opened his message. Why is it he seemed to always get in contact with her when her phone was not on her?

"Why do you always take advantage of the time when my phone is not in my hands?"

Very quickly, he replied backĀ  "travelling?"

Is this a retort? she wondered.

In response, she asked him to message if he had something to say, she was busy. Later he would learn that she was a lazy thing, she didn"t like traveling much and preferred being at home in the comfort of her home and bed. Moreover she was still staying with her mother, it was convenient as she didn"t like doing strenuous activities, it was also a bonus that mothers cooking was splendid.

He asked if it was inconvenient to answer the phone. She called him, it rang shortly before he picked up.

"What is it?" She enquired.

"Choose a time for your family to come eat a meal with my family" his deep voice travelled from the other side of the phone to her ear.

"when are you available? How about tonight?"

"Just a sec" she covered the phone to call out to her mother. She told her they were invited to a dinner and asked if she wanted to go tonight or not. She said she would however the food must be delicious.

"Tonight is good, I"ll trouble you to select the time and location, my mother does not like western food, she is rather picky I hope its not too much" he just said "okay" and hung up.

Neither bothered to say goodbye as if they were negotiating purchases.
