"...or as soon as possible anyways.""Huh? But your injuries!"
"Sir I advise against such hasty acts."
"What are you trying to do?"
I laugh a bit at the sudden confusion. The family looks confused until I say "Me and that G.o.d have certain things to talk about that are a tad bit important enough to go despite any injuries."
"Y-you"re going to see the dem-mon on the m-mountain?!" The mother yelped in surprise, her children seeming very curious now.
"You can"t! Ever since the Foxkin died he has allowed no one to intrude upon his-"
Silence. Everyone there could feel it. He didn"t even say anything, but an aura filled with determination and resolve almost seemed to weigh the air as an answer. The Foxkin many had grown used to was cheerful, goofy, with a relaxing aura and sunny disposition.
But right now, there was a quiet, steady feeling, as if he were a Great Wall holding back an army.
"I... uh..." the mother trailed off in the face of it, until silence fell again. Then the pressure eased, and the breeze blew again.
"So, I"m gonna start seeing if I can walk." And with that I (painfully) got up and began walking around a bit.
I don"t know how to explain it, but when she was talking, I just kind of... pushed out what my feelings where on the matter, and everyone went quiet. I think I"m starting to get an idea of how Soul Power works. Starting.
After a few hours of rather painful events, healing myself as best I could and then stretching out newly regenerated parts. It freaking hurt. Along the way I decided to change up how Healing Light worked a few times, trying to set it to only affect a target.
What I first did was make it sort of... uh... well best to say I changed the consistency? I wanted it to interact little with anything, and it worked. The mist looked more illusory, but as parts of it reached exactly WHERE I wanted to heal, it would turn bright as a light bulb inside the wound as a dense light filled that specifically.
I also didn"t just want to encourage the cells, but rather made efforts to create new ones with light elements creating the natural vitality. Chemicals exist everywhere, and if you can freely move them, why couldn"t you create cells?
This didn"t really work out.
However, I could feed the cells energy! Right? With fire elements feeding pure energy, and by stimulation via dense Healing Light, new cells grew much quicker(and in the right places).
By the end of my improvements, Healing Light had become a whole new spell. Healing Light was still a more moderate spell for small wounds with wide area(scratches and abrasions).
But now I had a "Healing Star", which is how the spell kinda looked, like starlight shining in the wound.
I then talked to Touka for a bit, and found out Healing Mist has a similar concept to what I"d originally looked for.
It"s a mist filled with nutrients pulled by water elements, which any body inside absorbs as the light elements cause the cells to use the nutrients to heal. So it combines water and light. Both of which I can use! It doesn"t actually create new cells, but feeds nutrients needed so the cells do it for you.
Weirdly enough, Healing Star carried the level from Healing Light, but Healing Mist did not. I think it might be because I"m much more experienced with fire spells than water. So yay!
Also apparently Touka doesn"t know how to use fire elements yet, and so can"t use Holy Light. Maybe I should make some water type spells and see if she can learn them? Also it"s hard to figure out what the actual chant would be when I just think the name.
It also occurs to me that Sacred Flame And Healing Star are very similar in their ingredients, but both use fire very differently. One uses it destructively as a scalpel, removing impurities. The other uses it creatively as a source of life and energy.
I thought about that for 2 minutes, then moved on to make Flashbang its own spell. Cause d.a.m.n that might be useful. I also made it optionally directional. So you know how intense the light and sound is? Imagine all that concentrated in a cone going only one way.
Ahahaha! I"m gonna break some eardrums!
The use of air pressure to make the noise was a tad troublesome, everyone kept staring at the "pop!" and crackling noises. I kept experimenting till I got it, making Luna Juno at the loud "BANG!"
I think we will need to wait a day before heading out, and I should probably talk to our guests. But first, to ask somebody how long I was out for!
"Hey Isen, how long was I out for?"
"A mere 2 days my lord."
"Ah that"s not too baAAAAAAAH! What?!"
Isen simply looked at me with a face that kinda said "What? Not a big deal". So I let it go.
Next on the list: Dungeon. If two days have gone by with this many "intruders" living here, my revenue is going a lot highe-YES! I got LOTS BABY! Ah yes, I also killed a lotta guys so that might be a source too.
I"d get my upgrade now, but only Luna is aware this is a Dungeon, and I"m still not sure what her deal is.

She obviously had thoughts about me being the last Kitsune, and feels something about it is important(if her "furtive" looks weren"t constantly giving that away), but I honestly got too much to handle right now with all this G.o.d-and-Demon-who-are-one, invaders-constantly-coming, and possibly-having-to-go-to-war-with-mind-slaves-and-their-weird-a.s.s-masters, plus now I got bandit issues.
Yeah sorry honey, politics later.
I wasn"t sure what kinda reaction would occur if I got the surveillance upgrade, so I can"t for now until either the family moves on or something...
"Speaking of, I need to get some houses or something in here. But for that I"ll need construction workers, etc. also I need minions.
One of the income tasks suddenly highlighted at this thought.
"How on earth will that help me? It"s not like they"ll... become..."
Oh. If Fenrir can join the Dungeon... then if I could take one of the goblin tribes from the Mind Flayers... ehehehe.
"Ahaha... ahahaha... AHAHAHA... AHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
I think I"m seriously beginning to scare this family with my maniacal laughter.
Add to list of objectives: subjugate a Goblin Tribe. But... agh that"s slavery isn"t it. Plus how do you get them to join you? Blegh.
Healing Mist is a wide scale spell, but I kinda realized a simple idea. Spells don"t have only the capability to do one thing. If spell structure is like the structure of a machine, then you can use a machine multiple ways right?
So same amount of energy and idea, but just take all those nutrients in the area, and concentrate them towards one target. It still takes freaking 10 mana to cast, but it is VERY good. Healing Star is a 7 Mana spell, which annoys me as I like multiples of 5 or just 1 as magic units. But it"s fine.
So I was healing pretty fast, as in I took the bandages off my hand and alternately cast Healing Mist and Healing Star, watching my body grow and knit back together before my eyes. Healing Star grew new cells quickly, but the new cells didn"t have as much size as they should, a little shriveled up and weak from lack of nutrients. Healing Mist was slower, but the cells healed did it properly. Plus it has AoE capabilities.
Using both, but alternated as Fire and Water elements in use happening to smash into each other inside my body doesn"t sound so great, I gave the necessary nutrients, speedily used them up with energy, and as I hit the limit of nutrients available, I switched back to gathering them. For some reason, this kind of cycling of spells with different natures to achieve a greater effect felt like the sorta magic I would eventually have to get into.
I"m just noticing that out of 9 tiers, tier 2 is the highest I"ve been able to naturally go without the "intent of the cosmos". And I actually know physics and stuff to help me, yet my greatest natural spell in complexity is one I don"t even understand. Turning flame solid.
"I"m capable of at least tier-7 right? What the heck!"
