I would like to declare that sleeping on a stone-cold floor literally made of stone sucks! It sucks! You hear me?!So yeah, morning came. Or rather, we woke up and a.s.sume it"s morning? Caves don"t have clocks or sunlight to guess by.
I stretched out my stiffness, and used Healing Star to sooth the sore muscles with gentle heat and healing, making sure to keep an eye on IT. I then asked, "Hey Luna do you need some?"

I said this while gesturing to the Healing Star, and she replied with a simple "Yes that"d be nice." with a slight quiver in her voice.
"Now... I think we"re about ready yeah?"
I focused on what woke us, or to be more accurate, me.
The cavern was lit with a blood red glow, the last of the crystals glowing by the stone door behind me, and in the center was a Serpent.
A. Really. Big. Serpent. Yeah, that"s a snake.
"That looks like the Basilisk from Harry Potter for f.u.c.ks sake."
Thanks to my new awareness of s.p.a.ce-time, I felt a large ripple and woke up, looking to see the red light that had no source spread through the cave, and saw the serpent forming in an all-too-familiar process of a Dungeon creating a beast.
"So in other words... the Dungeon gathered its energy to create the serpent overnight, and sp.a.w.ned it while we were still asleep to kill us? Fixing the door I blew up was probably too much work, and inefficient."
I sighed looking at this ma.s.sive snake. What in the frickity-frackity-I-Want-To-Hit-The-Author-Insanity am I supposed to do in this situation?
"Maybe if I had an INSTRUMENT I could try snake charming... agh..."
The snake coiled around the stalagmites and stalact.i.tes that fused to pillars around the cavern, slowly moving around us.
"If we try to leave, it"ll probably stop wasting time and pounce on us, but right now it"s just playing with us..."
I feel myself sweating from nerves. Do you know how unsettling it is, hearing the dry slithering of scales on stone? And seeing such a ma.s.sive beast in dim red lighting?
Cause d.a.m.n IT I am scared!
"Alright... how am I gonna fight this thing?"
I could feel something in my head, my mind, that was like a computer or being of pure logic, a.n.a.lyzing the many things I could see.
It"s body was shining with a black miasma just like the one my flesh is made of, but rather than being black-red, it"s a black-green that gave off a poisonous, sickly air. The lines throughout it burn purple-red, as if a fire filled with venom.
With how much a.n.a.lyze has leveled up, I can now get a sense of the elements from the colors. Once I might"ve said just "green-Black" and "purple-red", but now I can sense the poison within it and the mild Fire energy mixed with poison in the mana lines, leading to my new adjectives, so yay!
Smell, it"s a snake. Duh. Also has a curious scent coming from its mouth, probably the scent of its venom(with how strong my perception is, maybe I really can smell that).
I can hear it"s slither in excruciating detail, which also means I can hear every movement it makes even behind the stone pillars.
My sense of souls let"s me feel it"s hunger and predatory desire, mixed with amus.e.m.e.nt as if to declare us already helpless.
"Cmon..." my hand rested just above my blades handle.
"Track it... see... a.n.a.lyze its movements, and see what it"ll do next...!"
I felt the calm washing over me, my mind calmly seeing the way it moves in a gentle "S" around the pillars.
"It can"t move straight forward like most snakes, so it"s not the kind that can drag itself forward, but it can coil up and then lunge."
"Luna, relax. If you panic, you"ll just give it an opening. Step back and prepare to cast a spell to shield yourself first, if you have such a spell, then support me as best you can."
"Alright." She shakily responded, sliding back while carefully keeping her eyes on the Serpent.
"Fenrir... you know how to follow my lead."
He gave a small snort of acknowledgement, not willing to disturb his attention on the snake by even nodding.
It was then that the process in my head of trying to see how it would move struck gold.
I saw a shadow of it moving it"s head a certain way, as it had been "randomly" changing direction to put us off guard, looking as if it were approaching only to cut off to the side, or vice-versa.
And as I saw the head follow my prediction, I smiled, and waited.
"Silence."
I cast a spell that was quite simple really: it held the air and cancelled out all noise made within it with a counter-frequency.
And right as the serpents head went behind another pillar, I could feel the shadow of what it was about to do and...
"THERE!"
I pounced, charging forth as the head disappeared, and Fenrir turned into burning smoke as he flew forth alongside me, Luna using the silence spell to cover her chant of protection.
"Spirits of the Waters, gather to my call, and form my desire!"
"Create a shield and protect me from harm, Veil of Water!"
Thanks to silence, her spells chant was silent and unheard.
The serpent smelled a change in the air, a source of heat growing closer, and moved to quickly regain the prey in its sight.
As it turned the corner, a figure came into view rapidly moving with a slight golden glow wrapped around his legs, pushing him forth.
The snakes pupils widened momentarily at how close the figure was, as the image cleared to show eyes glowing with streaks of gold-red light leaving trails in the air, fox ears pulled back against his skull as he grit his teeth, and tail poofed out behind him.
I screamed as my knife absorbed mana, a aura of small flickering flames and intense heat burning red along the blade appeared.
The serpent reacted with a speed beyond any normal creature, mouth springing open with purple venom gleaming on its fangs that sprang out at me.
At the last second, I set my feet against the ground, and leapt to the left, as to the right was the pillar, and spun around the snakes head, finishing my spin to swing my arm with as much force as possible!
"PIERCE IT! Please be right!"
My predictions were on point, as my knife was spun with full-force straight into the eye of the serpent, not only stabbing deep into it, but releasing a pulse of fire into its flesh.
At the last moment before it connected, a sickly-Green aura appeared to defend, but the knife loaded with the maximum mana my Blood Aura can give was able to pierce through it as it hasn"t had the time to stabilize.
However, the released fire only burnt out the entire eye socket, and couldn"t take out the rest of the head.
As I finished my spin, I pulled the knife out savagely, cutting it out of the eye and towards the snout, leaving a line cut through its scales.
I felt danger approaching, Crisis Detection kicking in, and jumped in a sideways spin backwards, over its body, which was coiling over itself to crush mine.
My tail brushed its scales, and I could feel from the pressure on my hairs how close it was, and released a pulse of Aura through my tail as force at it"s body, reversing my spin and pushing it"s body down as I went up higher, putting distance between us.
"Tsk, I wanted to get you in one hit."
The snake hissed in rage, spasming as it crashed against a few pillars, breaking the stone by a decent bit, as a scream was let out.
It turned, sliding over itself as it hissed at me, Luna unnoticed off to the side.
I smile at it, a wide c.o.c.ky grin. "I know I"m a hot fox, but you shouldn"t ignore that wolf you know?"
The serpent turned its head in confusion, almost comically, as the smoke gathered near the ceiling between stalact.i.tes formed into a wolf that fell down upon its already savaged eye.
